In my opinion, they should one day add events that allow us to use the Tomahawk X like the "Vision Gran Turismo Trophy" race that was in Gran Turismo Sport. I don't think that will happen, they're probably going to not allow the Tomahawk X in any races because it's a "Cheat Car". To be honest, I would love to see an unrestricted race where all cars can be allowed in without decresing the PP.

I was in the middle of the WTC600 grind with the Tomahawk just now trying to save up some money before Kaz shuts this down and kind of thought "What the heck am I doing..." I was finally able to get credits in a reasonable amount of time so I could get the cars I wanted from the Legends garage to collect and drive but just knowing Kaz and PD made sure to signal they were fixing this glitch without hinting at any content additions coming in the patch makes me realize Kaz and PD are fighting against me playing the game I already paid for.

I have loved playing GT games since the very first one and I get more enjoyment out of car collecting, upgrading and running time trials. Yet here we are, Kaz can't let me earn too many credits. He needs to make it harder for me to get credits to see if they can force me to buy their microtransactions. Why doesn't PD focus on adding more stuff into this game?? There is so little content here, it blows my mind. This could be the greatest racing game ever but PD is only focused on making sure people don't grind races and 'drive lots of different cars'.. BUT NOT THAT ONE!! Whatever..

Honestly I'd forgive Kaz shutting down the grind if he actually added Autumn Ring, Red Rock Valley, Special Stage Route 11 & Grindewald. PD made these fantasy tracks and totally ignores them!! Come on Kaz.. ugh. (Seriously, this is the big 25 year anniversary and they don't add Autumn Ring back in?? Blah)

It's their own fault for allowing such ludicrous cars in the first place. "Your vision for a grand tourer". That was the original instructions for VGT designers.

Now I appreciate that the future is often unpredictable and words and phrases change meanings but I'm pretty confident that near future GT cars will not be 400mph active aero monstrosities that defy physics and would also require all roads and tracks on earth to be completely rebuilt to accommodate them.

They said a while ago that the final April patch was coming with additional content, both courses/layouts and cars. What they are remains to be seen but supposedly it is coming based on what they wrote.

I mean, I'm not against these kinds of cars being in the game, the Tomahawk itself is honestly pretty damn cool to me.

The issue is that it's treated like a regular car in GT7. I remember certain cars in GT4 had restrictions as to where you could use them, like the 1800s Mercedes cars and the Model T, to name a few. It should definitely be treated as a time attack and custom race only car (and of course, not allowed for online usage).

But when you do that it makes the car a bit of a waste because it's of limited use.

It would have been far better all around to have asked manufacturers to stick to the script. Then we would have had a bunch of cars that could have all competed together, instead of a Mish mash of some cars that did stick to the script and a bunch that didn't with insane made up performance figures, cars powered by frickin lasers and cars made out of unobtainium.

Yeah ultimately I would've preferred the manufacturers to stick to the script.

The Mini Clubman and Daihatsu VGT cars are some of my favourites, especially the Daihatsu.

My mobile hotspot’s out of commission till next month, so I guess I won’t be playing GT7 for a week.

It’s okay though… I’ve been playing Elden Ring instead for the past week anyway.

You are one person, not the two million people it would require for this to be anything close to a valid response.

If you were two million people, you'd think at least one of you should be able to spell "Turismo" correctly when it's in the thread title and twice in the floating menu bar at the top of the screen.
Gran ”Trisomo” 8 - when can we expect a release date? 😂

The AI is absolute crap at using the Tomahawk X.

The most "viable" scenario would be, having a sport mode where you have a one-make race with the Tomahawk.
However, if such a race were in any track that is not SSRX, it would be absolute mayhem. Even in smaller ovals like Daytona.
The car is really nothing more than 2 things, a cheat car, and a test to your limits on the game in time trials.

Even the Red Bull X Fan cars were ridiculous and were likewise the same as the Tomahawk, cheat cars and a test for your limits.

The only difference is that the Red Bull X Fan Car was made with all the possible technology at the time in mind and with realistic specs. You had Adrien Newey of all people designing that car and a World Champion (S. Vettel) test driving it.

-1500hp from a twin turbo 3.0L V6 reving up to 15.000 RPM. Which in 2010 was totally possible.
-Aerodynamic elements that provide very low-drag figures (wheels covered + canopy)
-A Fan technology that gave it downforce at all types of corners, including slow-speed corners where normal aerodynamic elements wouldn't provide enough if any downforce.
-A full carbon fibre body weighting in at 545kg. Again, quite achievable in the time.

And this is what I find strange. This car was "virtually built" just for Gran Turismo (it's literally a GT exclusive, outside of PC mods) to answer the question: "How fast would a car be without regulations?". And obviously, as Newey himself said, the car could be created but no real life driver would be able to drive it to it's limit due to the absurdly high G-forces it would create, which was precisely why this was car put into the game, because in a game we don't suffer from G-forces or any constraits of driving a car IRL, so we could drive it to the limit.

And what I ask is... Why? Why is this car not in the game? There's no reason not to be at all.
It's a Gran Turismo exclusive ffs. Not to mention that it's actually a propper race car prototype, designed by the real deal people.

On the other hand, the Tomahawk X is the epitome of bulls****. It's design is that of a hypercar, with an engine that is not possible to make (you don't make 2500 horses from a NA V10, you simply can't) and while weighting less than a CURRENT F1 car. And let's not get into what type of suspension this car has and those active aero wing flaps.

My beef here is not so much about the Tomahawk X being in the game, but why is the Red Bull X Fan Cars not in it? Why not?

Why not give us the Red Bull Fan Car challenges in the new GT7 driving physics? Or even create a "what if" 2022 newer version of it like it was done in GT6 with the X2014 Fan Car and give us those challenges?
I'd be all for it with aburdly difficult challenges like we had in GT5. But instead of just 3 tracks, make it like 5 or more. Add it to the mission menu and make it 8.

It's about time I and many other top 1% of players would get an actual extreme challenge. I haven't had one since the Hamilton DLC in GT Sport and again, I had to pay for that.

Junk game.

My PS4 is going on Ebay.

Disgusted.
It always baffles me that people will go to a forum of a game they hate just to post things like this. When I hate a game or movie, I might tell my friends I hated it and why, but that's it. I just can't relate to this sort of behavior.

I never visited a forum for the Last Jedi to say "junk movie, my bluray player is going on ebay because this ONE MOVIE was bad, Disgusted."

I will be shocked if PD instead of actually fixing the PP adjustments, decides to nerf the payouts or the PP requirements.

If such a thing happens, this might be one of the dumbest and most incompetent moves I've ever seen from a game developer.

And while the "selling car" feature wasn't promised for this month, I wonder what in the hell is it so hard that it takes over 2 months (or more) to actually implement a feature that basically consists on you having a "Sell Car" option on a menu.
Or is all this time about "adjusting" by how much we can sell the cars? It can't be that hard... previous GTs allowed you to sell it for about 1/4th of the car's value.
Maybe they are going to make selling cars a bit more "realistic" by letting the selling price depend not only on the original value of the car, but also on the mileage?

I'm keeping my expectations low. 2 cars and 2 layouts, just enough that the plural words in the announcement will be true. Just like the update timing always being just about the last moment for the text to be true. Other than that, the PP changes and a few bug fixes.

Anything more will be a pleasant surprise.

Beyond this there will be a few additional Updates deployed between now and the end of April which will add new cars and course layouts, as well as implementing some other fixes.

An event creator would solve so many problems. The ability to create custom races/championships and even challenges, would just give use to pretty much every car and track in the game.

I don't have any problem with the VGTs. I like some more than others, but don't hate any of them. With custom events, they would eventually get some use for who enjoys driving them.

While it would be nice to see 8-12 new cars, I think more realistically we'll see 2-4. One may even by the GR010.
Just because Monday is an unusual day to be releasing new content. Plus, no teaser silhouettes unless they're announced today.

The words 'few', 'additional' and 'deployed' all sound quite minimalistic to me.

And the best thing to do is to not feed the troll.

I miss the teaser silhouettes 😥😥

Well, GT Sport pulled that off 4-5 years ago.

I skipped GT Sport. Seeing how GT League was implemented, I don't see how they don't do that again in GT7. It looks nostalgic enough and seems more interesting than what we get now.

I know that's why i don't understand most of the people here expecting only 4 or 5 cars! Considering how much time passed since the game was in its launch form way before release and now it's that first update that has the probability to be the biggest!

GT Sport's first content update was 3 cars and it released a month and a half after the release of the game. Would be great if they had more content but it's better to keep low expectations imo.

Not trying to to be mean but this race is fairly easy.
You guys who have magical abilities can't seem to understand how hard it is, and for some, impossible to race at your level. When GT Academy opened up and hundreds of thousands of us were competing with each other for the coveted few to be admitted into a real life racing academy, I was in the top five percent. But the range between the five percenters and the one percenters was an ever steeper logarithmic curve till it peaked, and the lap times of these top 100 racers were within hundredths of a second. And I was outclassed by several seconds every time, at least, along with about nine or ten thousand others.

In order to beat the Tokyo 600 race, you need to consistently make a 2:02 lap. The best I could manage in the RE Amemiya RX-7, the only car I could make fairly competitive and not get a penalty every lap, was a 2:09. After a dozen do overs because of early race killing penalties, I ate one because I wanted to finish ONE freaking race, and made 4th place. The superskilled Tomahawk racers are pulling around 1:00 laps and managing a 59 second lap at times. My best is a 1:12.9xx, and a typical fast lap is 1:16. That's my limit.

llNovall is running a racing series in the League Forum, and I thought I'd give it a shot. But I was five seconds a lap slower than the others in every car but the Murcielago, which was illegal as a 4WD car, and even then I was still outpaced. They encouraged me to try another car, and then to keep tweaking it, but it was getting outside the build requirements, at which point I thought it was useless to keep cheating the specs just to race with better drivers.

People all have different capabilities and talents. As far as I can tell, I'm still within the top 10% of GT7 players, maybe 7 or 8%. But there is a huge talent difference between a 7% player and a 1% player, and very few can make up that 6% difference with some practice. We all have our limits, that's just the way it is.

As for the Vision cars, I like them too. My fave is the Citroen GT3. If the Tomahawk gets crushed in the update, I'm going to miss it, but I won't be missing Tokyo. They will have to fix the PP system to where I can build a competitive car, or I'll never touch it again.
