I was in the middle of the WTC600 grind with the Tomahawk just now trying to save up some money before Kaz shuts this down and kind of thought "What the heck am I doing..." I was finally able to get credits in a reasonable amount of time so I could get the cars I wanted from the Legends garage to collect and drive but just knowing Kaz and PD made sure to signal they were fixing this glitch without hinting at any content additions coming in the patch makes me realize Kaz and PD are fighting against me playing the game I already paid for.

I have loved playing GT games since the very first one and I get more enjoyment out of car collecting, upgrading and running time trials. Yet here we are, Kaz can't let me earn too many credits. He needs to make it harder for me to get credits to see if they can force me to buy their microtransactions. Why doesn't PD focus on adding more stuff into this game?? There is so little content here, it blows my mind. This could be the greatest racing game ever but PD is only focused on making sure people don't grind races and 'drive lots of different cars'.. BUT NOT THAT ONE!! Whatever..

Honestly I'd forgive Kaz shutting down the grind if he actually added Autumn Ring, Red Rock Valley, Special Stage Route 11 & Grindewald. PD made these fantasy tracks and totally ignores them!! Come on Kaz.. ugh. (Seriously, this is the big 25 year anniversary and they don't add Autumn Ring back in?? Blah)
I think you interpret a little too much in this one little aspect with that tomahawk, don’t forget it’s just a game. And why are you feeling forced buying microtransactions? I never felt that yet in the game, and since the last update there’s enough opportunities to earn credits in a reasonable way. Just to remind you that you don’t have to own every car in the fastest way you can get them, that’s probably not how the game is designed and probably not how it’s intended to be. Maybe try to enjoy the cars that you buy, enjoy the driving experience and if there’s nothing much to do right now for you then just don’t play it and wait till tomorrow till the update drops (I know that’s not how it should be, but that’s just how it is right now).

You guys who have magical abilities can't seem to understand how hard it is, and for some, impossible to race at your level. When GT Academy opened up and hundreds of thousands of us were competing with each other for the coveted few to be admitted into a real life racing academy, I was in the top five percent. But the range between the five percenters and the one percenters was an ever steeper logarithmic curve till it peaked, and the lap times of these top 100 racers were within hundredths of a second. And I was outclassed by several seconds every time, at least, along with about nine or ten thousand others.

In order to beat the Tokyo 600 race, you need to consistently make a 2:02 lap. The best I could manage in the RE Amemiya RX-7, the only car I could make fairly competitive and not get a penalty every lap, was a 2:09. After a dozen do overs because of early race killing penalties, I ate one because I wanted to finish ONE freaking race, and made 4th place. The superskilled Tomahawk racers are pulling around 1:00 laps and managing a 59 second lap at times. My best is a 1:12.9xx, and a typical fast lap is 1:16. That's my limit.

llNovall is running a racing series in the League Forum, and I thought I'd give it a shot. But I was five seconds a lap slower than the others in every car but the Murcielago, which was illegal as a 4WD car, and even then I was still outpaced. They encouraged me to try another car, and then to keep tweaking it, but it was getting outside the build requirements, at which point I thought it was useless to keep cheating the specs just to race with better drivers.

People all have different capabilities and talents. As far as I can tell, I'm still within the top 10% of GT7 players, maybe 7 or 8%. But there is a huge talent difference between a 7% player and a 1% player, and very few can make up that 6% difference with some practice. We all have our limits, that's just the way it is.

As for the Vision cars, I like them too. My fave is the Citroen GT3. If the Tomahawk gets crushed in the update, I'm going to miss it, but I won't be missing Tokyo. They will have to fix the PP system to where I can build a competitive car, or I'll never touch it again.
2:02? Had no idea Hard mode was this difficult. On Normal you can beat it with consistent 2:16s.

The AI is absolute crap at using the Tomahawk X.

The most "viable" scenario would be, having a sport mode where you have a one-make race with the Tomahawk.
However, if such a race were in any track that is not SSRX, it would be absolute mayhem. Even in smaller ovals like Daytona.
The car is really nothing more than 2 things, a cheat car, and a test to your limits on the game in time trials.

Even the Red Bull X Fan cars were ridiculous and were likewise the same as the Tomahawk, cheat cars and a test for your limits.

The only difference is that the Red Bull X Fan Car was made with all the possible technology at the time in mind and with realistic specs. You had Adrien Newey of all people designing that car and a World Champion (S. Vettel) test driving it.

-1500hp from a twin turbo 3.0L V6 reving up to 15.000 RPM. Which in 2010 was totally possible.
-Aerodynamic elements that provide very low-drag figures (wheels covered + canopy)
-A Fan technology that gave it downforce at all types of corners, including slow-speed corners where normal aerodynamic elements wouldn't provide enough if any downforce.
-A full carbon fibre body weighting in at 545kg. Again, quite achievable in the time.

And this is what I find strange. This car was "virtually built" just for Gran Turismo (it's literally a GT exclusive, outside of PC mods) to answer the question: "How fast would a car be without regulations?". And obviously, as Newey himself said, the car could be created but no real life driver would be able to drive it to it's limit due to the absurdly high G-forces it would create, which was precisely why this was car put into the game, because in a game we don't suffer from G-forces or any constraits of driving a car IRL, so we could drive it to the limit.

And what I ask is... Why? Why is this car not in the game? There's no reason not to be at all.
It's a Gran Turismo exclusive ffs. Not to mention that it's actually a propper race car prototype, designed by the real deal people.

On the other hand, the Tomahawk X is the epitome of bulls****. It's design is that of a hypercar, with an engine that is not possible to make (you don't make 2500 horses from a NA V10, you simply can't) and while weighting less than a CURRENT F1 car. And let's not get into what type of suspension this car has and those active aero wing flaps.

My beef here is not so much about the Tomahawk X being in the game, but why is the Red Bull X Fan Cars not in it? Why not?

Why not give us the Red Bull Fan Car challenges in the new GT7 driving physics? Or even create a "what if" 2022 newer version of it like it was done in GT6 with the X2014 Fan Car and give us those challenges?
I'd be all for it with aburdly difficult challenges like we had in GT5. But instead of just 3 tracks, make it like 5 or more. Add it to the mission menu and make it 8.

It's about time I and many other top 1% of players would get an actual extreme challenge. I haven't had one since the Hamilton DLC in GT Sport and again, I had to pay for that.
In the "Vision Gran Turismo Trophy", none of the AI used the Tomahawk X even though it was allowed into the race.

It's in the game. Asia/Pacific -> Japan -> Gran Turismo. But yeah, PD didn't give us events to admire its abilities. And yeah, with full custom transmission you can glitch it to participate in Tokyo Expressway 🤪

In other words other 99% players are paying for contents they literally unable to enjoy. Think of it.

3 times in row this week i only got 1 star roulettes, feel so broken, suddenly it changed to 3 4 star roulettes, and today i got my first ever 6 star roulette in daily workout, still feels very little with one roulette per day, hopefully something gets better with those roulettes at some point,

There is still nothing on what tomorrow update is going to include,
I got this feeling we might only get a minor update, of it was cars would it not be showed at this point, hopefully i am wrong

New content doesn't just appear out of nowhere. And they've been busy making the complainers happy. Don't expect new content updates more than once a month, I'm almost certain that's what they have planned.
And PD has a much smaller pool of old cars to touch up this time around, only about 40 unused premiums that are not NASCAR/ base car/ go-karts/ WRC cars remain.

In GT sport, some cars were hastily touched up. The dodge viper's interior, Enzo Ferrari's exterior, were barely touched upon.

So Subaru BRZ 2022, , a BRZ/86 race car based on the new GR86 / BRZ, and a cappuccino.. greattt...

Also, I'm 100% sure we are getting a new track as they have been teasing it hard on Facebook with the lines ( Road Atlanta?) .Where a new layout could work is Tokyo, or the High-speed ring getting a Kart layout.

Did some messing with the image. Definately 2022 BRZ and 86/BRZ race car and cappuccino. This is the race car

Edit: as pointed out below it’s likely the Subaru BRZ race car.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7’s Next Update Arrives April 25

An announcement on the official Gran Turismo website and in-game has revealed that a new update will arrive for Gran Turismo 7 on Monday April 25...
Just don't enjoy this GT like other gt's .it's the way the game holds back progression and pushes microtransactions .find it hard to buy the cars I like and end up wasting credits on cars to complete cafe which I have no interest in .
Haven't tried online yet as it's probably full of try hards , rammers and nerdy tuners and the guys that grind nolife and have everything .
I'm not a grinder it's boring just want to race and have fun but sadly looks like kaz forgot to add that into gt7

The Subaru BRZ GT300 is likely to be in Gr. 3 as modern GT300 cars (since 2014, I think?) are on par with GT3 cars, considering they raced against them in the GT300 class, suggesting it has around 500hp or more, and perhaps a weight in between 1100kg to 1300kg.

Really? A 2022 Subaru BRZ when we already have a BRZ S 2015 and a BRZ STI Sport 2018?

Why can’t we get NEW cars instead of cars that are basically copies of ones already in the game???
Most likely (I'm just guessing) because of the Toyota GR event that was announced recently where you could race with a modern 2021 Toyota GT86 and a Subaru BRZ, although the newest BRZ we have in game rn is the 2018 one.
Again, I'm just guessing, but that's what I think.

It's the BRZ.

So we're getting a fancy duplicate, a racing car with no series to race it in and a Kei car that can race one endurance race that has a 1 time prize. Maybe I'm just expecting too much but that is a bit disappointing.

Here's hoping there's a bunch of new races and at least 1 new track.

The BRZ GT300 will be Gr.3 for sure.

Is this a joke or something? This is the first content update in 2 months and they are literally bringing only 3 cars and only 2 of them are new. BRZ is literally the GT86. What Kaz is thinking while posting this?
Very unhappy If this is the case. I know dripfeeding content is a thing but that’s a joke if its all we get. 🤞

Went to a motor show at Glasgow SECC years ago and couldn’t get in the cappuccino. It was tiny, I suppose thats the point GTF with these K cars.
