I was thinking how PD could include Paint colors, Wheels and other custom parts in the roulette... If I'm about to earn a 5k-ish gift in a 3 star roulette, I would probably be less frustrated with this random gift rather than some change that doesn't even cover a set of tires. šŸ˜

I am not talking about GT5 Prologue, I am talking about a Numbered game but again you don't seem to understand.

People who think GT7 is a numbered game and are waiting for content to come in from previous numbered games, are very thick dim-witted people. GT7 is a incomplete game and the in game content should have been finish and not DRIP FED over time, and that means it's not a numbered game is it.

This game called GT7 is a very poorly designed game with not much thought going into it, at least the previous numbered games had a lot of thought going into the game.
This game called GT7 does not even close to be a numbered game, because your waiting for content from the previous numbered games to come in. Only the dim-witted people think GT7 is a good game.

But what you simply donā€™t seem to understand is that many of cars in previous games was standard cars with ps2 graphics with no interior, they have to be remade from scratch and that takes time, its not realistic to expect the same car count as gt6 with quality that goes into each vehicle, the game has problems no doubt that needs to be solved, but cars is not the problem, the biggest issue is lobbies and lack of career mode and events, i still rather have 400 good car models than 1000 poorly made models, and the fact is that some stuff like car sounds, and even customization and graphics is better than all previous numbered titles by longshot, so they pontential is there to be the gretest in series

Considering how different Pikes Peak is from other tracks in the game, I don't see PD adding it in a regular patch without any fanfare.

I would expect it to come in the form of paid DLC separate from the main content of the game like the Hamilton time trials.
Would also make sense, but It would be very a bad idea after and the still ongoing complaints about microtransactions and lack of content, to release 3 months after release some paid DLC.

Iā€™m seeing Pikeā€™s Peak as a separate Time Trial Mode. Itā€™d be the PD thing to do. Would be fascinating for VR users.

The Escudo should be a good wheelie car and the Ford should be a good jelly car. Hopefully the Ford allows engine swaps.

And how you going to get said engine swaps exactly? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

And what about engine swaps???? Because this so called "Roulette" bull**** is ridiculous now...I'm able to guess what I'm able to get EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!! And it's ALWAYS the Lowest prize...being 2/5/10k.......I've done the daily every day since launch....and it's always the same.....sort it out!!!!!!

Don't we all wish for that. The roulette tickets being rigged are definitely getting old, and it makes me not want to open one.

So exactly the sort of customer base who would fork up cash for a DLC pack?
In a game that would specialize in this, probably. In GT? Highly doubt it. If we get Pikes Peak (and thats a big IF), we get it as an additional track and no fanfare other then the nostalgia hype that frankly rests with, yet again, something far more recognizable despite being part of it: The Escudo.

This cracks me up every time I read posts like this. You can't really believe that selling cars should be PD's #1 priority when there are so many other glaring issues that need fixing. I own all the cars in the game and have no problem finding one I want to drive. If this crap you speak of is 'clogging' your garage, delete it. Your garage defaults to latest car driven, so it's not like you have to scroll through 200 cars to find what you want. Select Manufacturer and your car will be at the top. GT7 doesn't hand out cars like candy as it did in GTS. Eventually you'll get your pennies on the dollar for these cars. :D

Seems you missed the point completely though.

Nobody wants to be able to sell to raise money primarily (did anyone anywhere ever say that?) We want to sell because the game forces us to keep one of every car weā€™ve got. And a lot of the cars in the game are crap, and we donā€™t want crap in our garages. Simple. Is your house full of junk in real life? You keep stuff you never use and donā€™t like? You sit, happy to be surrounded by crap? Itā€™s a simple fix and a staple of previous numbered GT games to let players control whatā€™s in their collection. For example, I personally want to ditch 90% of the American cars, they drive like pants, and also certain standout oddities like the Sambabus. XJ13 too, bought for the trophy but itā€™s crap, was crap in its time and crap now. It might ā€˜crack you upā€™ but itā€™s a small ask, easily fixed by PD, and would make a big difference to people who play SP (ie the vast majority) and who hope the game can pivot back to its roots.

Edit: And yes, for a game marketed as a comprehensive return to trad SP, I would say it should be a more pressing issue than fixing online. GTS was for online, itā€™s still up and running, anyone focused on online racing can go play that for a bit longer.

I think you will find most want to be able to sell to raise extra funds. Most couldn't care less about a virtual reality car taking up virtual space in a virtual reality garage.

Ok, fine, but I donā€™t and he was responding to me, putting words in my mouth.

The point is, lots of people really do want selling, whatever their specific reasons. It was in the gameā€™s pre-release marketing blurb at the Sony Store, and it isnā€™t a trivial issue that weā€™re getting closer to four months in and it still isnā€™t possible.

So the "7" in the name is/was only for marketing (IMHO), it could be swapped with "Live"-- (rotate the "7" by 180Ā° and you have a "L") --> GTLive .... so potentially another non-numbered GT. :dopey:

But...but GT5 Prologue does have a number in its name. Also, the original Gran Turismo doesn't have a number in its name.

So no numbered Gran Turismo does count as a numbered game but numbered GT5 Prologue doesn't?

I'm so confused.

About the selling of cars, either if it is to free your garage some space, to sell your duplicate or to gain money in the process. I am really suspecting that we are waiting this much time for this functionality to be implemented because GT7 was build up with the Ā« Collectors level Ā» mechanic. Meaning that there is a level up corresponding to how many cars you collect and even a Ā« board Ā» map with each of the car acquired ( like a Pokedex if you want).
So PD is not really in a difficult position in terms of Ā« price market Ā» for the re sold cars but are because selling cars would possibly broke the collectors aspect of the game mechanic.
PS devs team has to chose if selling a car remove it altogether from your collection wall ?
Reduce your collector level at the same time? Or none of those ?
I mean put like this it seems not such a difficult task to accomplish. But it is not as easy as it would seems either. How is your in-game progress follow up if you sell all of your garage assets?

I mean it may seems easy on paper but it not to be thought without those constraints in mind.

The matter of Ā« PD is a joke Ā» , Ā« Kaz a misfit guru Ā» and they treat us as garbage is owned to your own appreciation. But for myself I refuse to believe that they deeply want to piss us off on purpose.
Rather that they are subject to the choice of their gameā€™s mechanics and endure the consequencesā€¦

The collector level is the most easy thing to manage as index of completion, every time they add a new car the target is moved FORWARD.. this is the logic of the LIVE ..
(If you rotate the number 7 obtain a L as live)

What happens when you "dispose" a car now? That is possible and it raises the same question (I only disposed a duplicate car till now).

Oh so you can delete cars then ?
I thought it was not possible reading another comment here. It was about freeing unwanted cars from your garage.
I know nothing then

You can just delete them, you don't get financially compensated for doing so.

Nothing happens. No change to collector level.

Collector level does increase when you buy dupes though, so itā€™s based on credit value of all cars bought/awarded. But it doesnā€™t go down if you discard one. Iā€™ve done it. So no real reason allowing selling should affect anything at all.

The PokĆ©dex wall neednā€™t change. Once youā€™ve ā€˜collectedā€™ a car one time youā€™ve collected it and it goes on the wall, stays even if you sell it later. After all, real life car collectors operate by buying and selling, nobody keeps everything theyā€™ve ever obtained.

Edit: @MrNukki yes, you can delete them, but only dupes; youā€™re forced to keep one model of every car in the garage. I only drive cockpit view, one of the three or four cars Iā€™ve ever gotten from the roulette is, you guessed it, a VGT with no interior...

Posting this here before another outrage but this time because selling cars gives you back only like 50% of its price at best and because selling gifted cars still not possible.
It was that way in previous games, wasn't it?

Well that is certainly....a take. Why would the elevation stop it coming? There always has to be a first. Might as well say it's a fantasy because it's P2P and GT7 currently has none of those either.

Also, your choice of elevation measurements are rather curious. How many toasters in elevation is Pikes Peak? What about Empire State Buildings?

I always measure elevation in 1st gen George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machines.

Having a mild giggle at the guy who can't complete a thought without doubling back calling people who like a thing he doesn't like "very thick dim-witted people". I don't have a single uncreased item of clothing now.

Not entirely - it was usually waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than that.

In GT1 you'd get 50% of the list price back (plus a bonus if you sold it in the right dealership) - although I recall that in early versions it was capped at 12,000cr...

Later games gave you as much as 25% of the list price - additional mods were not included in the value - and you couldn't sell cars over a certain value (err... think it was 1m credits in GT5, but I'd have to check).
