What is the chance we get the Goodwood hillclimb, Festival of Speed starts thursday

Remember the E30 M3? As soon as we got it, the car got bagged straightaway for being slow, skittish and complained about its icon status.
Good thing I found a group of people who do a monthly Sunday Cup with it :dopey:

I can see both arguments for the Escudo being and not being in Gr.B and ultimately I think it won’t be. I have gotten the Escudo to run on pace with the Pikes Peak Quattro + GTS BOP around Tsukuba in GT6. But also being in a Gr class isn’t as important in 7 as it was in Sport

As mentioned above. Rally cars are now split into WRC & Pikes Peak classification.

The leaked list includes the Quattro S2 which will presumably be in WRC alongside the 205 T16 E2.

The list also includes the 208 T16 which was the previous Pikes Peak record holder. What’s interesting to note is this car competed on the all tarmac course. It’s never actually competed on dirt. Also showed up at the Goodwood Hillclimb and a few other events in Europe.

Oh cool, the leak is legit.

Maybe the customization options are adding a little more time to these cars getting finished so the 3 per month rate is the most sustainable while being consistent that they can get.

Im here for the nostalgia, but as someone who thinks they should cut rally altogether my excitement is low.

I generally think the amount of cars is the smallest problem GT has right now and I’d welcome updates that focus on the fundamentals.

The AI needs a complete rework. I’m not taking just faster AI - a fundamentally new AI. How do a handful of Italian guys manage to make an AI that makes you feel like you’re driving an online race, but the industry leader can’t pull it off?

The performance is not acceptable on PS5 (don’t know about PS4)
Pop in, LOD switches right in your face. Frame rate drops and even slow down.
You name it. GT7 has it.

Don’t get me started in the current state of the online.

So of course I do welcome every piece of content, but I’d like to see acknowledgement of the problems and a road map for the fixes.

There is a Pikes Peak classification for GT7. Currently only the Quattro S2 Pikes Peak is listed. The 205 T16 E2 is classified as WRC.

The leaked list is also looking credible. In it they have all of these cars. Including the ‘32 Ford. Which is completely random. They also list the regular Group B Quattro S2. Which again points to WRC & Pikes Peak cars being separate.

Who knows if this is all leading to Pikes Peak being added. I’ve mentioned before I don’t think such a course would be in a regular monthly update. Given they have real world circuits ready to go. And one is needed to fill the TBA Toyota Cup spot in August.

If Pike Peak is coming, I hope it is, to me if I'm bringing Pike Peak and Time Attack Cars I have for it, I would keep until it releases, I would think if Pike Peak was coming in this Update there would be a bit of a fanfare, but could be wrong, on the flip side of that if Pike Peak comes in this Update, giving us just one car , is boneheaded as well

Leak?

Whilst for me personally,im not that excited regarding the pikes peak car or the actual pikes peak circuit/event,however the car itself has always had a bit of a curiousity value for me,also from a technical point of view as well.Im not really into the whole rally or hillclimb side of motorsports but its another track or event if added and more content is always a good thing and shouldnt be sniffed at,plus some more menus maybe?
Lets just hope theres no nerfing payouts.

I'm kind of glad I I'm not looking at the Escudo through rose tinted glasses.

It will not be as dominant as it used to, many cars in the game are now faster than it.
It will cost an insane amount of money.
The PP level will probably be too much for it to be usable in any race.

Don't get your hopes up, PD won't deliver
