All three DLC road cars? Call the United Nations for this one.

By April next year, if we only have twelve DLC road cars and less Than half can be customised, then, it’s a problem. Two real life stock standard cars out of three, ain’t bad.

So, for those who touted "PD is only releasing 3 cars a month because cars now have a lot of visual customization", want to have a look and see just how much you can do to the Ford Roadster?
That really sucks.

I thought it was going to be one of those special cars that allowed for tons of modifications, but as soon as I saw that it was modeled after a specific Hot Rod built in '62, I knew it was going to be all but locked down as far as visual mods. You know, because of heritage. lol.

Can you at least change the wheels? A set of torque thrusts would look pretty proper on it... or some TE37s... haha.

This sucks. Everyone is enjoying the new cars and I can’t because I got a bug which causes the Hagerty Dealership to crash and fail to load any of the cars in the dealership. I’ve reported it on the bug forum. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I don’t want to miss my chance at buying them and have to wait a month before they appear again.

Holy hell, that's a new one to me! Can't load any of the dealerships or just Legendary? Hopefully they get a patch out before everything leaves the dealership for your sake!

It's this type of **** that really drives home why "always online" always sucks balls...

WGI bangs, the Escudo bangs even if it's crazy turn in needs to be learned, and I love the rotatable chase cam.

Again, you have no idea what work is involved to 'simply' code that change. And they may not even be aware that that change is wanted by the community, nor may it align with their vision of the direction they want the game to go.
Assuming they program in C++ (almost all game devs do), I believe you can set this up to just be a variable and a number that you change. I just picked up programming a month or so ago with a course, so I very well could be wrong, but I think you could set it up something like this (if anyone with programming experience sees this, let me know if I’ve made any errors or could improve the code):

8BB57771-65DB-430A-8242-3941455BB5EA.jpeg

You could set up variables for every finishing position, but I think you could also use an array. Something like:

int GlenAFRFinish[20];*
GlenAFRFinish[0] = 175000;
GlenAFRFinish[1] = 140250;
GlenAFRFinish[2] = 110500;

And so on.

You’d have to do a bit more programming to have it display and add the credits to the balance, but I don’t think it’d take too long and PD already have that set up.

*1: Curly braces with no value sets it to zero, you can use the braces to initialise a variable. bool is the type, a boolean, it returns a true or false value, and P1GlenEndurance is a variable. Here, I’m declaring a variable, this must be done before you can use them in your code.

*2: The while loop is where you can place your game code.

*3: [20] is the size of the array. Items you list in an array are called elements, they start at [0].
You’d have to do a bit more programming to have it increase the credits, but I don’t think it’d take too long and PD already have that set up.

Just Hagerty. Everything else works fine. What’s even more frustrating is the fact that the Dealership was working perfectly prior to the change in the lineup.

Weird, especially since everything else is working. I'd be frustrated too... I assume you reset the console/restarted the game to no avail?
Escudo is brilliant. Destroys everything. Gr 1 prototype get out of the way. GT2 levels of fun.
In a straight line, sure. I don't think there's another car that even comes close in the turbo lag department, making running it around a circuit kind of a chore... It did better than I expected at Sardegna, coming in at 26:18 (best out of three attempts all with different setups/approaches in number of times pitting) but even I can run the 787b, CLK-LM, F1 Long Tail, etc in the 25:00-25:15 range at that race and I'm nowhere near "fast" compared to many others. Maybe if there's a way to tune some of that lag out it'll be a Gr. 1 killer.

Races at circuits like Sarthe may play well to the Escudo's strengths and it might dominate in those due to all the straights, should we ever get a proper 850-950pp race at such a course. And it's not the worst when it comes to fuel consumption, especially given all that horsepower, so I think it could do fairly well in an "endurance" (or at least these 30min-60min races PD calls endurance...) It's a cool addition regardless, and I'm really glad they didn't cripple it by throwing it into Gr. B.

The real car only topped out at 270kph. It didn't need any more for its sole purpose at Pikes Peak. The old games were never realistic.
Yeah, i know it's not realistic. But they can remove the limit for fully customizable transmission i think. So much hp wasted

PD couldn't have picked a better track for this update. F1 tracks are nice but soo many of them just suck with their stop-start nature. Watkins Glen doesn't suffer from this - it's fast, it's flowing and a tonne of fun no matter what car you drive.
Agreed. It's quickly becoming my favorite course currently in the game. Tying all of those corners together is very satisfying even in lower performance cars

Visual customization is only part of it. Making the Tuning Shop upgrades work for each car is another factor. Some of those upgrades are visual too like exhausts and brakes (if a car supports such upgrades). Regardless, all this needs to be considered during development.

I’m certainly not defending their decision to only release three cars per month, but in general they had fewer things to take into account when they were adding five or six cars to GT Sport on average. For example, back then car performance was altered with a slider, which was probably an automated process, and wheels were the only visual upgrade.

Though, I’m also sure they could manage better, but if the datamine is accurate and reliable, then three cars per month will amount to around 70 cars over two years of monthly content updates. The leaked list contains somewhere around 70 cars.

Oh don't worry, they'll find another excuse.

I prefer “possible explanation”.

That's funny because I read a chapter on quantum physics so now I can tell you how easy it is to operate the large hadron collider.
Man, joined yesterday, 18 posts in and you might have the record for the most people who've ignored you in the shortest amount of time. What was your purpose in coming here anyways? To let everyone see how much you like giving tug jobs to PD.
Nice attitude you have, you're going to do great around here.

Speaking of tug jobs, it seems a small few are engaging in a circle jerk of hate towards a very good racing game. Instead of putting its flaws aside (all games have flaws), they're just constantly complaining like spoilt children. Sad!

The new café menus were a complete disappointment for me. Zero racing required. All I had to do was purchase the three cars I hadn't already got to complete each menu. This is a racing game, right? Waiting for the NSX to appear (Presumably in the used car market) to complete them. Done in 5 minutes. What a waste of time. And the Engine I got was the Lexus one for the Crown 🙄

Watkins Glen though is an absolute blast.

360 camera rotation in chase view is great, finally. Can really appreciate the graphics and car models now with free camera rotation. Love Watkins Glenn too.
I cannot find HOW to rotate the chase view ... I suppose it needs to be done in replay mode? Which buttons do you use? Does it have to be done on a controller? Thanks in advance for any help.

We've already discovered that changing a few things can cause unexpected bugs (green calipers), so unless you have personal experience as a triple A games developer, everything you're saying is just conjecture. Instead of complaining about the current state of the game, I'd suggest putting it down for a few months and playing something else. It will only get better with time
What does experience as a triple A developer give you when it comes to something as straight forward as adding events? It's not going to be considerably more complex from game to game (different in ways sure, but if it's overly complex then the game is designed really, really badly), and we even have the ability to create custom races minus the artwork in the game ourselves.

For the record, I have programing experience, not a AAA game, but I understand the general idea of what is likely involved. I also have made a large number of additional events for GT5 and it's a doddle, with the exception of the custom event artwork (which I'm not good at).

So before you start shutting people down because "how could they know", it's reasonable to expect the events are not that complicated to implement.

You could make your own events because PD built the code and UI for you to make your own events. That's like saying 'I assembled this car from scratch', yea well someone else designed and created the individual parts for you to assemble easily. I'd love for you to stroll into PD and say, 'I want this this and this, get it done within a month it's not overly complex'. Lmk how that goes.

Only in GT7, not in GT5. Not sure what the point of this is though.

Are you suggesting that because PD built the tools to let people quickly and efficiently create custom races in GT7 that it would be more complicated for them to implement more races into the World curcuits? That's just backwards logic.

What!

Would love to create my own events if they would pay out a „tiny“ bit more than what it cost to buy some Racing tires.Oh and if i could actually SAVE them as templates.But probably that was too complicated to code as well…
