I'm new to the club, and just to introduce my self. PSN ID Titus-Taylor. I've decided to go with the Boss 302 '13 Mustang. hope that's a good car to go with.

I might go to Mazda Laguna this may for Tudor, I'm about 5hours to track,
I would love to go to Laguna Seca, but I do not think I will get enough time off to commit to that.
I would take you up on that but I'm light years away from Conneticut. I will probably be heading up to Road America though!
I have not been to Road of America since 2002. Absolutely love that place.

The mustang is alright! But I highly recommend driving a few of the other cars if you have not already. Each car has its strengths and weaknesses, some more than others. Also there is a slightly secret car list ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LCUi6OzMy8wAXjB2JD7km1IF-DqrBPSpO5UhQbO_6MY/edit?usp=sharinglist )that was added on it under the main car posts, may be worth your while to check those out too

Welcome! The Ford is not a bad car to start with, but like draqua said, it doesn't hurt to look around. I'll also need a car number that hasn't been chosen yet.
Practice for Laguna Seca will be Tuesday night, racing on Thursday.

'Slightly secret' list??

i went to Laguna Seca in 2003. It was awesome. Haven't really done much else besides GT. A lot has happened to my family since then.

1. I like your avatar!
2. Yes it is! What I need from you is a car that you would like to run from our extensive list, and a car number. You don't have to decide on either until your first race, so take your time and look around to see what you like. But once you choose one, that's what you'll be in for the rest of this month.

The only other thing you would need to do is join the club we have set up in the game. The club number is 1007109. We race and practice using the club system.

Practice for Laguna Seca will be this Tuesday night at 11:30pm, race on Thursday, same time.

yes the avatar will have you taking a second and third look. I'm an f1 maniac. cool I'm liking the z06 however I will take your advice and try a few. if its okay I will join the Tuesday practice. thanks!!

Points for Driver's and Team's championships are in!

Team's points are a total of the two drivers' finishes.

For our new guys who came in, we have teams that are looking for a second driver if you'd like to join in the team's competition. @RobbiefromBC has a Nissan 370z team (btw, last month's championship winning car), and @WanganGhost has a Maserati Gran Turismo team that are looking for drivers. The only rules are a maximum of 2 drivers, and both drivers on a team must be in the same car. You guys don't have to, you can do what you want to, but just to let you know that it is an option.
If you would like to join a team, please contact the team owners first to talk it out. Teams should only be made with the consent of both drivers.

I hear you about life happening. It happens to each and every one of us.

On another note, sorry that I can't run Laguna. It will hamper my run this month again for first. To add on top of it I am letting my teammate down for not scoring... I will return with a (cue music and corny 80's vengeance movie scene) Need for Speed ;-)

I agree with that, but when I was looking at torque numbers compared to all the V8s I did a quick tune with it. I'm good with whatever decision made, I'm just looking to improve my driving / tuning / racecraft.

going on what Vel said, if you would be able to spec the car the way you see fit along with others that have good judgement with how to spec a series car, I would really appreciate it.

I had to purchase the z06 right before the practice session so tonight I will try another car or two to make the series divers. gotta love that American muscle push rod technology though!! :dopey:

why did I respond to this post!!

Like draqua said... GTGCC Gran Turismo Gentlemen's Corvette Cup

Brings up a headache with running these things. On one end, I don't like having the majority of the field in one car. I like having diverse fields, and leaves all of the BOP that's been done sort of not worth it.

At the same time, I think that assigning cars can take the fun out of it for some people, because that brings up a - whole - nother set of problems. One car may not be truly up to snuff with the rest of the pack, driver gets stuck with that car, driver doesn't like it or can't get up to speed in it, driver loses interest, driver drops the series, I become sad... I believe 'double edged sword' is the technical term here.

Next month's spec will get rid of that headache, and now I'm trying to figure out how to handle this in the future.

for future u could make a certain amount of cars to be used suggestions like 3 per car and when that model gets 3 drivers u would have to pick another car

I know in the fighting game community, "balance up" is used generally as a rule. If there is a car that is way out classing the others, bring the others up to challenge it instead of enforcing penalties on those who picked the fastest car, all while bringing the others up to the same level. This late in the game it feels pointless to really change things around to much as we will onlu have these cars for 2 more weeks or so.. but in the future this concept may be applied to our series!

Maybe some two classes GT3 and GT4 replicas

As well I remember, that most of the cars that take part in the GT3 and GT4 is in GT6 and have the option of full body modification.

If you're talking FIA GT3 and GT4, this was supposed to be a sort of GT4 replica class/Continental Tire Series GS Class spec. Sort of. If the Lotus Evora could have full aero upgraded, that would've been included. And of course, we'll always be short a Porsche.

The only thing with making a GT3 class is 1) they're already in the game, and 2) it won't be a true replication of the class, because everything needs to be rear wheel drive (R8 and GTR would be an issue), and not everything has the same level of aero upgrades available. Ferrari and Mclaren cannot have flat floors added, for instance, so the BOP would be all over the place.

got some seat time in the aston martin last night and although it was not bad it does need more tuning to get consistent lap times similar to the z06. I will use the aston martin tonight if I cant test another vehicle. see you all then.

when it comes to gt4, I thought more about

http://gt4series.com/#
and this

of course without Porsche and ginneta, these brands probably will not see in the GT6,

when it comes to GT3, I have to agree with you.
