Okay, loads to get though.

First, January points are finished!

Second, for Daytona this week, you will be required to use the pit exit slip road before rejoining the race track. Do NOT cut back onto track at turn one, it's for the sake of safety. Please practice getting off of pit road with it.

Number three! Team I'll Owe You Won Racing will be competing in the Corvette C7 Stingray.
Number 3a: We welcome the entrance of Maserati to the championship! The car has been uploaded to the additional cars list, located on the second post.

Last, but not least, practice is set for tonight! 11:30 EST. See you there!

Oh, good. We... needed... that??

It's definitely something we can and have been living without, but something to personalize our cars a little more isn't really a bad thing... unless they allow us to change the colour of interior stitching  I would like to see a livery editor, even if it was simplistic. Something to let the imagination run wild a little bit.

Set for Daytona tonight!

No promises with the weather. It will be set for random in the main race, but I can't figure it out anymore...
There will be a day to night transition, but there will not be as much night driving as last week at Spa. I actually didn't intend for last week to be as dark as it was. See you guys tonight!

I actually enjoyed the night driving at Spa...but I was solo most of the race so...

There's something about racing into the twilight with a damp track that is eerily calming to drive in... Well, at least for me :)

@flip55 I gotta ask, what do you set the weather regulations to before the race?

Well if the game holds true to weather patterns then expect a thunderstorm at 1515 or 3:15 pm during the race

Before last week, weather at the start was set to zero, and the changeability (I think that's the term the game uses?) wasn't set above 10. Last week, I set the weather at the start to 30%, and we got clouds. I guess next would be to crank up the changeability, but with my experience, the track either soaks up or dries out way too quickly if it's too high. And we've run a race at Suzuka where we got rain for a good 30 minutes, and we got no surface change (I've been told that might be a bug.)

Maybe we could try 50% weather (Just before it starts to rain), If the changeability is too high, thats when the track dries up unrealistically fast, so I'd possibly running the changeability up to 20 and work from there? It's definitely a finnicky feature, but I guess it's doing its job by being unpredictable ;)

Maserati team R-Sport is proud to be apart of the GTGC. :)

Would like to thank @flip55 for all he does to keep this series running, and all of the competitors for making the stuff we do on the track that much more fun! Bring on Daytona!

Here's to another successful season of GTGC racing!

Sorry for all the mixups. I was following dr to the pits (had damage), we both went wide and in auto drive thru mode so car did not get repaired. I hit the wall exiting and the car was un-drivable and would not go forward (even paused it & it just banged itself back and forth.) I new I could not make a lap so I tried to limp it backwards to the pits (I was on pit exit road). I made it back to the pits but it auto exited me again. Sorry if I messed anyone up, I should have just exited instead of trying to go backwards into the pits.

I was looking forward to putting on intermediate wets and running the last part in the rain :(

Those inters would not have made a difference at all. Track went full 100%... from 1st to 6th after not being able to get a pit to change tires and repair damage...

KG you missed the rain... I don't think this track is too great for wet weather driving though
I forgot to buy rain tires for viper lol, I'll come more prepared for nxt week, I hate backing out of races but I had long day at work removing several trees, when I gave ares damage I felt it was safer to get off track.

Srry I left, I probably ruined ares race, real srry. I was really tired anyways,

No problem KG, accidents do happen,

definitely, the worst race in my performance, i was 6 times in pit stop due to damage, I never liked this track and never going to like it.

That might have been the worst race I've ever run. Got the black screen of death at the beginning of the race again. Hope that's not a problem next week. Hit BNC twice in the first two laps. Was fine for the next 25 minutes, then I forgot to buy rain tires for the Corvette, so I did the entire last race at 1/4 throttle on Sport Hard tires. I shouldn't have finished 3rd. Was not an enjoyable night, and I love that place... :grumpy:

I also should not have finished where I did.. the rain really shuffled things around In my favor though.. once I got into the pits atleast.. drive throughs suck

No worries about the taps my friend. First one my car was bouncing going into turn 1 and slid which is where you found me. Just like you I forgot my rain tires and from there I was in the pits about every lap or two for damage. Had I been driving the NSX it would have been prepared with rain tread LOL. I'm bummed that in two consecutive weeks I spun on lap 1 having to pit and repair and both times I was really trying to play it safe. Seems like in practice when I'm pushing I actually stay on the track...

So feedback on the weather? Or other things?
I thought that the transition from dry to slicks no longer working anymore was a bit quick. If that was an actual race, there may have been a safety car, if not red flagged.
