I will go with whatever one agrees to. Race alone is the way we do it in WRS and it seems the fairest way for everyone to have a chance to set their best qualifying time. It takes luck (traffic & wrecks) and drafting out of the equation and we can complete more laps in less time. Have you ever tried it that way?

I think the strategy of a full grid qualifying session is good.. if you can tow up behind someone, that's great strategy. I allows interesting things to happen. Just like in the real world

Isn't that what the qualifying race is for? Seems to me many people wait in the pits to get spacing so they can run their lap alone.

Gotta agree with Dr. And Flip here. We have always raced together at qualifying and it adds that X factor that racing is all about. Now I have not run with the WRS in any of their online races, but being an original member of the WRS back in GT3 I definitely take what they do in High Regard. They have been the original embodiment of racing on GTPlanet since 2002/2003 if I can recall correctly. That was back when Mr. P was a wee lad lol.

The thing is this is not the WRS, Snail, whatever else is racing on GTP. This is Flip's series and he does take suggestions seriously. He always has since I started racing with him back in the GTTCC where I met everyone we race with. Maybe a new series it might be something to try out.

My opinion though stands, we might as well hot lap on a time trail if we are qualifying solo. It gives no amends to race craft in qualifying or strategy.

This was not suppose to come out snide or anything. Easier to say it then type it :-/

Since tonight is the end of a mini series, I think we should run tonight as we have.

That being said, I am willing to try a change in the qualifying procedure when we start up next month in Daytona. Time will be cut down from 12 minutes to something like 8, because we won't need the extra couple of minutes.

Ahhhhhh.... Sorry to hear, mate. Hope all is well, wish the best for you.

I would hate to see a championship end this way. Maybe Flip can delay the championship. I know if I was in your position that is what I would want. A fair shot at it.

@flip55 I know it would screw up next month but what do you think. The truth though is I know when Oz and I were shooting it out I would not have wanted a situation to occur causing a difference in the title...

@Ares85 I hope all is well with your wife & sorry you will have to miss the race.

Its very sportsman like for you to suggest we delay the points race a week @miata13B , I would like nothing more than my teammate to win the championship.

However to be fair and consistent we need to remember that KG was leading the points when he got called away at the last minute due to a fallen tree (or something like that) and was unable to do the race at Monaco.

Thanks very much for the support guys, but this is not a situation depend on me so I hope that will not stop the race because of this, have fun guys.

I don't have time to get the graphic done right now, but here are the final top three in points for January!

1. BC_BOYZZ - 65 pts.
2. draqua_fresh - 62 pts.
3. flip157 - 62 pts.

Congrats to @RobbiefromBC for the race win and the title! With the title, you will be allowed to run #1 on your car, and your teammate (should you get a taker) can run #2 for the month of February. You can stay with 46 if you really want to, let me know.

More news will come a little later today (I think...)

That was a great battle up front last night. I was trolling around all by myself when I got disconnected about halfway through, so I got to watch the lead battle for the rest of the race.

I'm definitely switching cars. Not sure which, going to do some testing this weekend. I had a Nissan already, so I prepped that and was into the 2'26.xxx in a few laps and I could only get the Mustang down to 2'30 at Spa.
Thanks again, this is a lot fun.

Yeah, I don't know if it's me or my car but I averaged 2'28-2'29 most of the race and just felt the car wasn't fast enough. I might be switching too. Got a Z06 just sitting there...

@flip55 I'll keep my #66 for February. If only we could paint the number plate, make it red like the do in supercross. It was a blast last night, looking forward to next week! @Rob Ledwell the Nissan's a real fun car to drive, just sayin' ;)

1. Sorry, don't know why I thought you had #46.
2. Yeah, we would have done red number plates for the points leader if Polyphony made it a thing. I've wanted them to do that once they added plates in.

By the way, Polyphony if you read these things... MAKE THAT A THING!

hello flip. id like to use the Maserati GranTurismo for this season. thank you.

I actually believe I have that one spec'd out for this series! There's a very small list of cars that I didn't include, I know that was one of them I looked at.
I'll double check it when I get on tonight and get that to you as soon as I can.

ty good sir.

@flip55 I'm starting up KGDR racing with Kgffy . I'm running a viper still #99 and idk what Kgffy is gonna run yet.. he may contact you flip

Sweet! But keep in mind that both drivers must use the same car.

...Well obviously, not the same car, that's not possible... But the same make and model.

I guess it's time to make another team announcement!

Redline Autosports will be put aside for now, maybe revived for something in the future.

However, @miata13B (Somebodyshootme) and myself are going to join forces for I'll Owe You Won Racing! Car details to be announced soon.

Also, I'll have the final January points up later today. I spotted something that doesn't look right, and I want to double check finishing orders before putting it up. This does not affect the top few spots in the championship, those should be fine. But I want to make sure everyone is calculated properly.

See you guys at Daytona!
