This was a pathetic excuse for a snow storm. Conditions like normal here in the northeast. Still icy with no powder lol. Hopefully I'll be home to jump on with everyone :-)

Heard Long Island got it pretty bad. But yeah, same story here.

I believe Ares said he was hitting 2:23.xxx constant with a fast of upper 2:22.xxx. I'm in Flip's boat. I have the track dialed in but the straight after eau rouge I'm down on top speed compared to your V8's.
 
as of this weekend, I've been running in in the 2:23.xxx range. My best lap has been a 1:22.7xx.

At the end of the straight after Eau Rouge I'm clocking near 165Mph before my breaking point.
 
I see that I need to work on the gearbox, my speed at the end of the straight, was 158mph, my best time was 2:22,6xx, avarge times was about 2:23,5xx.
 
The Datsun hasn't turned a wheel since Silverstone, chances are I'll be going into Spa blind... Good thing I like the track
 
I'm about the same as Ares but I can only dip my pinky toe into the 2:22's every now and then (2:22.8 - 2:22.9). I need to do a longer run to see what she does with worn tires.

@Ares85 I re-did my gears from scratch since Silverstone because gear changes were needed in bad sections of the Spa track. I will PM the settings if you want to try what I came up with.
 
Tonight is going to be a great night of racing. Even though I'm off pace it is going to be fun. Went into Silverstone about the same amount off pace, but it is amazing what race day does for you. Found about 2 seconds at Silverstone hoping tonight will be the same.

If we get some rain life will get very interesting. It could be a game changer for all of us. :-)
 
Unfortunately, fate is not happy for me and my race at Spa ends today:(:(:(, for some time my wife was waiting for the term to the hospital for treatment and unfortunately got it on tomorrow morning, at about 6:00am CET POLAND (12:00pm EST USA) we have to leave. So have fun guys at spa.

I would hate to see a championship end this way. Maybe Flip can delay the championship. I know if I was in your position that is what I would want. A fair shot at it.

@flip55 I know it would screw up next month but what do you think. The truth though is I know when Oz and I were shooting it out I would not have wanted a situation to occur causing a difference in the title...

Mmmm... That sets us back with many things. Then what would that make tonight if I'm going to allow car swapping for Feb.? I can't start those points tonight, because he field may look very different next month...
But at the same time, it's a bummer to lose a guy like that.

I hear that, it is no reason why we can't run Spa tonight, with setting up a make up night, off regular night to setup the season finisher for those in the points to win. It was just a thought looking out for the top tier places and championship at stake.
 
@Ares85 I hope all is well with your wife & sorry you will have to miss the race.

Its very sportsman like for you to suggest we delay the points race a week @miata13B , I would like nothing more than my teammate to win the championship.

However to be fair and consistent we need to remember that KG was leading the points when he got called away at the last minute due to a fallen tree (or something like that) and was unable to do the race at Monaco.

Edit: This thing is hurtin' bad... Can barely break into the 24's, and I'm not leaving anything on the table. Too many straight parts for this car to shine... Oh well

I sort of feel the same way, even though it totally sucks we'll be a man short.

About quali... Well, I don't think the system we have is bad. Also, if we were to go to single car runs, it wouldn't be 12 minutes. That extra time is for the warm up lap.
 
I think the strategy of a full grid qualifying session is good.. if you can tow up behind someone, that's great strategy. I allows interesting things to happen. Just like in the real world
