It's a little later than I would like, but I wanna talk about next month.

I'd like for the next month to be a spec series while I figure out the rebirth of the touring car series I ran this time last year. (That's what the TC1 category is, for those wondering.) I have a few ideas I would like to try during some practices next week. Here are some of the cars I have a little bit of time with:

- Ferrari 458: current Ferrari Challenge specs, 462 hp (I recall 95% limiter with oil change), 1277 kg.

- Lamborghini Gallardo: current Lamborghini Super Trofeo specs. I'll get back to you guys on the specs, they escape me for the moment.

- Abarth 500: Idea I had not too long ago, 475 PP, 290 hp, 1035 kg. Full power mods added.

All of these cars drive very differently from what we have now. The Ferrari will be faster, but it is harder to drive. The Lambo is about the same speed, but acts differently because it's AWD. And the Fiat is FF and slower, but is a little closer to future TC1 specs.

What I would like to do is run a few rooms where people jump in, take these around, and see what they think. Dates to be announced soon, will be sometime next week. I don't have circuits totally figured out yet, because I'd like to wait and see what car we go with. But Monza and Rome will be involved, because of the accidental Italian theme I have going.

We seem to be good with the 20/60 minute races, so it looks like we'll keep that going for now. I am also leaning towards not having a team's challenge for next month.

And with a spec series, I will encourage people to share tunes with everyone for the inexperienced. I know I will be.
I would be partial to the lambos! Don't get a chance to run those too often, I also tried to setup a series that used them in the supertrofeo spec ad they are tons of fun!

Well, February might be my last full time season... Need to start working two jobs, and that could take up quite a bit of time. The reason for this is the engine in my truck finally lost compression and started spewing blue smoke when I started her up this morning... The old girl quit on me at just over 458,000kms. Time for a rebuild I guess :boggled::scared:

Sad to hear about your truck. I hope the repair/rebuild goes well for you. Maybe now I can finally crack the top 3 ;)

That just plain sucks... working 2 jobs is not fun, but we all need to do what we need to do.

Sorry to hear, but we understand. Anytime you can make it, we'd love to have you.

In other news... MIDFIELD IS BACK!!!!!!!!!! Will get future race, depending when we get it.

The Complex String it was called. That would be a crazy place to race. Would love to get that back along with Seattle and others

Yes...Complex String...I miss that track. Tuned a bunch of cars there. That long carousel corner was insane, felt like it would never end. Seattle would have been a great track for our current spec cars!

So what I would like to do tonight is try and get an consensus for what we're going to do next week. We appear to be leaning in the direction of Fiat/Abarth, which is fine, but I would like to try some spec options on it. If you're able to make it, drop by and we'll figure out that to do. Should be on at about 11:30pm EST.

Also: There is a massive difference between the Fiat 500 and the Abarth 500. I may try to get both to the same spec, but no promises. (I've tried this before, didn't work out quite like I would have hoped.)

I'm more annoyed we haven't had Sonoma in the newer games. Was in GT4, then disappeared. And the Grand Canyon. Spent a lot of time on that rally course.

Yep, was excited when Sonoma was another US track besides Laguna and never saw it again :(

I'm going to Sonoma this year to watch nascar race, 7 hour drive.

That should be good. 👍 If I were going to see another Cup race, it would have to be at a road course. I'm not too insanely far from the Glen, so maybe someday. But it's still a hike.

Maybe see Gordon win his last road course race in a Cup Car? I heard that he might join forces with the WTR guys in the TUSCC for the endurance races, possibly Le Mans?

I'm waiting to see how long it takes Corvette to give him the call for Le Mans (I wanna see it happen, anyway). He's not done racing by a long shot, I think retirement has more to do with NASCAR than racing.

Getting on now, will be set up in a few minutes.

After I install this system update, apparently...

So from last night, we have found a tune setup where the Fiat 500 and the Abarth 500 can race with each other. I've also decided to drop the option for the 458, while it's a good car, it's a little difficult to drive compared to the others. So my question to you guys is this?...

Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo of Fiat/Abarth 500 Cup???

A reminder that whatever we don't use now will be used in a future month or racing. The Fiat is more in line with the upcoming touring car series, and are a lot of fun to drive, but... the Lamborghini is a Lamborghini. And it's 4WD with a screaming virtual V10.

Let me know what you guys think so I can have this set for next week.

In other news, practice for the Red Bull Ring will be tonight at 11:30pm EST, as usual.

I missed out on last night's trial run but I still think the Fiat/Abarth 500 would be good for us to run. I think these cars will be fun to drive around Rome/Monza. We could always speed it back up with the Lambo in April...
