I had to use the controller for the seasonal with the Ferrari F-40 at Apricot Hill..
Couldn't even make it through the first sector with that thing on the wheel..

i have the steering wheel set up and had to abandon it cause I could never get conformable too. the car never seemed to be stable in a straight line and when cornering the delay was so long I could never get the feel.

if anyone has a set up to recommend I would like to try again as I can see other people saving the car a lot better with a wheel.

on another note I might not make the qualifier thur however I should home from the airport

Actually, I find that I can save the car easier with the Dual Shock way more than the wheel..
The wheel gives more turn in angle though, and smoother of course..
Which wheel do you have ?

Usually the F40 is either a fantastic car, or it wants to kill you. I ran the event stock setup since I'm a bit insane, kg and bc can vouch but the key to getting a good setup for it is to dial down the oversteer while the throttle is off, the power oversteer because of the turbo can startle you, but letting off the power when in a slide guarantees that your gonna spin.

So yeah three tips for a better F40, try and dial down the off throttle oversteer, adjust your driving around the turbo lag so that your not in a corner when it comes on, and use throttle modulation to keep tires in the right direction.

One last tip, I don't recommend going to a gt6 tuning page to grab a tune, as it's really down to personal driver style and preference with the F40.

But that's what I got, hope this helps a bit!

Can confirm that Draqua is not only a bit insane, but also the godfather of the F40... At suzuka in the rain

In our practice sessions, when you get your split time, is the delta time shown to your best lap or the overall fastest lap? I know at the finish it would be to my best lap, but at T1 I would always be about .5 sec off pretty consistently and I don't think I ever managed to pickup that time. I could then get to a couple tenths off at T2, but always lose almost a second in the last sector tonight. Or did I?

I had real fun tonight. I thought I could catch flip. I did at one point by a tenth. But then he got faster and faster. Guelph I'll need to tune my suspension a bit more. Race should be fun.

I hit a sweet spot on the set up last night and can come out the hair pin like gang busters. hope my flight gets in on time so I get home for the sprint race!!! :dopey:

I know, that's why I was asking about the split time delta's. After t2, I would within 2 tenths and then lose over a second in t3:banghead:. Way to go:bowdown:

I think what's happening is that the sector times are how far off you are from the session's best time, but for some reason when you hit the finish line, it tells you how your lap was compared to YOUR personal best for your time on track. Why it switches, I have no idea.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I just couldn't believe I was losing that much in the hairpin. Going to have to work on that.
How do you set up for that, is it all gearing?

Yes hit a sweet gearing set up with vertu ally no lag in between gears. On the light home now ready to leave chicago. Hope it's on time for me to make the spine race.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you guys that I am pulling out of the GTGC (for now) Just got too much stuff on my plate to run competitvely and have fun on thursdays. I am not leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth, as this is a pretty kick ass league with a bunch of pretty kick ass people. I apologise in advance for the team championship title @Kgffy, keep WestCoast Mazda running strong! Have fun guys, I'll be back!
