Keep at it JT, you'll get the car where you need it :-)

Got in a lot of good work today...
Last week was the result of me being a lazy dog..Thought I could slap on a fast tune and be good.. Nope..
Might sound crazy, but I went back to GV East for a good hour to fix what was wrong there first...
I was able to get it a TON better around there..And now ready for Apricot Hill...

Gentlemen, it's dinner time here in Calif and going to do that, and will see you in a couple hours..

So what kind of lap times are we looking at for Apricot hill? What is the guesstimated pole lap time? I'll most likely do my normal thing of showing up in a practice room half an hour before the race to try to get my car dialed and just hope for the best. I just can't find much time to get on anymore :(

If there's any way I can help I will..
My PB last night 1:24.175, and did it with my body stiffened car, but not convinced it's better though..
I ran similar laps in the other non stiffened car.. I prepped two fresh cars yesterday and started out with a blank sheet of paper..I goofed badly in a couple of specific areas with the other tune from last week though, and still keeping the notes from that.

@miata13B was running around the high 22's low 23's. With all this weight added my times went down to a PB of 1.28:8xx while drafting.

Is that really a 1:28? or did you mean 1:22.8?

Thanks buddy. I might be able to get on tonight to do a little bit of testing if you wanted to come on and we can maybe help get the car running properly. If I do get on, it will be after ~6PM PDT. I just realized you live only 20mins from me lol

I got nominated for an All Star Race in my other league through peer voting. Only the second time for me and most likely the last time.. I'd still like to race it though at 6PST tonight.. I need to do it for all the guys that voted for me..
If your still on around 8PST I will be there..

he only lives 15 from me :dopey:

Nice win Miata, I got within 6 tents of your fastest lap, figure out I was taking last corners to slow, nice turnout, gd racing.
It was a great race. I had the car down to 21's practicing once I got low fuel and changed tires. The car is on par with the original GTTCC Roadster Touring Car on this track for me. 6/10s of a sec with 40 kg Ballast added is very good you would have given a good fight if you had none on your car :-).

Now everyone can call me lard - arse :-).

Coming up on JT, Flip and Socal was awesome. Split an extremely tough fight the three of them were having. I feel bad about splitting the battle up while passing though.

Anyways Team IOUW is now Team Applying to the Biggest Loser TV Show lol.

Hit the grass and spun "again", for the third race in a row.. And the learning curve on the steering wheel is proving to be VERY hard for me.. Almost four months now on the wheel and still having a hard time with it..
Last night had to make a last minute switch to a DFGT Wheelstand setup, which I got last year but never used because I didn't like it as much as the controller.. January I got the T300RS, but Wednesday night the stock pedals set failed at the brake arm.. So just one more in a string of unfortunate events lately..

You know, I look at how much some of us invest in our peripherals, wheels, add on's, cockpits, etc. along with some of the put downs and derogatory comments received elsewhere (not here) from certain people about using a controller..
And I now realize how ignorant that really is.. Dual Shock 3 or 4 only costs 60 bucks, and they don't fail..
They just wear out slowly over time, but work very well if you know how to use one..
And no, not as "immersive" as they say, but still.. Just sayin..

I had been using one since GT3, around 12+ years, and switching over to the wheel is very much akin to starting over.
So for now I've got either a DS3 or DFGT to use for a while until my new pedals set arrives..

Off we go to Midfield then...

I had a hard time switching too. I was much slower and not that I'm fast to begin with, but just commit and stick to it. I will try the ds3 sometimes to knock out a seasonal real quick and its really a challenge so I am impressed by those guys.

I had to use the controller for the seasonal with the Ferrari F-40 at Apricot Hill..
Couldn't even make it through the first sector with that thing on the wheel..
