^^^^^Hmmm, look at the shelf to his right, red for Premium (Ferrari Rosso), and Blue for Classic, sold seperately. Just an observation. Sorry if its been brought up before.

Dimitrov: You know, youre probably right about that. Though its hard to tell, the PS2 signs that are every where give it away, my mistake.

It also says PS2 on the racks.... :-)

On another note, what is KY talking about this thing with Ferrari? I didnt like the 1 year bit, does this mean that they will only have the licence for GT5?
No they were talking about a 1 year marketing deal, probalby sponsorship of some kind. GT5 logo's on some Ferrari race cars, maybe a Ferrari demo of GT5 like the BMW 1 series demo's of GT4 that came out that sort of thing.

Well, well, well. It looks like those who want GT5 compatiable with the G25 will get their wish. But I thought the G25 wasn't out until next month.

Guessing it's due to Logitech's close relations to Polyphony. And I must agree, that helmet is awesome.:dopey:

The screenshots look amazing. As LoudMusic has already stated, I'll believe this when I see it. Release dates come and go as fast as newbies are banned.

I better not be paying for Ferrari and prettier cars, I hope this "professional" handling mode lives up to the name and we FINALLY get online mode.

It would suck if Polyphony held out on some of the features we should have had for GT4 to market this new game....

I thought that video was of real cars.
Well, they sure as hell aint real cars. Possibly CG, but I was thinking GT5 models.

*about the movie with the Nismo GTR, S2000, Tom's Supra, Ford GT and F430.

I want this helmet... Anyone know how I could get my hands on one of these? ;)

Unless of course the owner custom-made it...

here are all the 1920x1080 screens in that gran-turismo page link, on one screen. lots of data, here, do not click if you are on 56k (also, sorry if you are :) )

The textures and car reflections could use some work. Especially the car reflections, which look plasticky at worst and last-gen quality at best, and are easier (I assume) to improve than textures are.

I knew they would be relying on sheer resolution to get "oohs" and "aahs" from players, but this is still a bit worse than what I was expecting.

Of course you realise with those shots of 'Eiger' means it's probably a update of the excellent 'Grindelwald' track from GT2. The resort of Grindlewald is at the foot of the Eiger mountain. The Hotel Bellevue is just outside Grindelwald and can be seen in the background of some of the Eiger screenshots.

Hey, was just browsing IGN, and they had a small story called "Yamauchi on Gran Turismo". It doesn't give a whole lot of new info, but it confirms a few things. Here it is:

"September 25, 2006 - One of the most assured pieces of gaming vaporware may see release after all. Famitsu.com, reporting from the Tokyo Game Show, got confirmation from Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi that development on Gran Turismo for Boys is still underway. We haven't heard anything about this PS2-based kids oriented GT title since Yamauchi announced it over a year ago at a Gran Turismo 4 party, causing concern that Yamauchi had been drunk at the time.

Now on to another vaporware candidate, Gran Turismo 4 Mobile. Development on the PSP entry in the Gran Turismo series still seems to be under way. Said Yamauchi regarding this game, "We're of course considering PlayStation 3 and PSP connectivity, similar to how a PC connects with a cell phone. I still can't comment though."

So in addition to Gran Turismo HD (Japanese PS3 release in December) and Gran Turismo 5 (planned for PS3 release in 2008), keep Gran Turismo for Boys and Gran Turismo 4 Mobile on your release calendar.

Famitsu also scored commentary from Yamauchi on a variety of Gran Turismo topics. The producer joked that the upcoming GT HD download service would be like iTunes, referring to it as a GT Tunes. He also provided some relief for those worried about the expense of downloading cars and tracks for GT HD. Polyphony hopes to make content that has been downloaded for GT HD available for use in the next GT.

Yamauchi also explained some of the reasoning behind making car damage and advanced opponent AI available as downloads rather than as part of the December GT HD release. With online games, it's difficult to follow the current development practice of adding more and more features to a game prior to its release, explained Yamauchi. Instead, although as a developer it's difficult and feels a little strange, it's best to start service on something, no matter how small, and build it up with players.

If it means getting the next Gran Turismo title in a little over two months, you won't find us complaining."

I still think the whole thing looks great. I can't wait to get it.

I don't know why people are complaining about paying for cars... Obviously, PD and Sony are businesses, and they are going to try to make as much money as they can... If people pay, they'll keep it... if not, they'll try something else.

To much like real life?
Ummm... A Ferarri costs a bit more than .50 cents IRL...

Consider this:

In order to play GTHD (and eventually GT5) I'll have to buy:

1. A PS3... around $500.00
2. A HD TV... around $1,000.00 (I'm using a computer monitor for GT4)

Note that I play no other console games and I have no use for a television... so the above expenses are JUST to play GTHD & GT5.

So I'll have to spend at least $1500.00 BEFORE I EVEN GET THE GAME.

Not to mention I'll probably upgrade my DFP to whatever the next gen wheel is (add another $150.00+)

Plus (as I'm not a 13 year old living with mom and dad) I need to actually pay RENT to have a room to put it in and the ELECTRIC BILL to keep the disk spinning...

And you guys are complaining about $.50 for a car?

Get over it. Get a life. GET A JOB!
