About the tesla : (because it is so far the only i have tried from the pack)

Its horrid on the handling front because its too heavy and accelaration is very slow and not really helping considering EV Are usually torquey
Agreed.
As a former P85 owner, this does not represent the feeling and handling of the car. It does feel proper quick irl.
The new 75D I even quicker than the old p85. The P100D ludicrous+ is painfully quick. 2.7 sec 0-100km/t is just stupid quick for a normal car.
I’m waiting for my new model 3 performance and I hope we’ll see it in GTS. That car has track mode.

Wanted to try the F50, but I'm a million short. I figured it would cost 500,000. I don't play very often.

Do Sport Mode races pay out pretty big these days? I swore an oath to never race Sport Mode again, but I'll break it if I can earn a mil in 30 mins. That's how quick match was in GT6, though they had that log in bonus multiplier which I don't seem to see in GTS.

Right off the bat I did all of that, all of the school, and most of the missions before they start to become time consuming and/or annoying. I was floating on that wad of cash for a long time but it's been drying up steadily with each update. I've been fortunate that I haven't really cared for many of the most expensive cars.

It's really lame that you don't get anything for selling prize cars.

@Vspectra and @queleuleu don’t forget that shaders/textures can be/can look better in future games without touching the models at all. And that makes so much difference, you can see that on some of the cars that were brought to GTS from GT6 without much work done on them. They simply look so much better in GTS simply because of new rendering techniques.

Plus, if PS5 has enough power, they can also use real-time tesselation even in-game, not just for photos.

I simply do not think they’ll ever need to work on some of the models.
They look too good now, too good to the point where a forzavista mode isn't possible on PS4.

I really like the older cars like the F50 and McLaren F1. They don’t or rotate as quickly as some of the new ones, but once you find the right rhythm, they are really enjoyable to drive.

Also, they seems to have endless potential. I can keep getting faster and faster times with these older cars, but seem to hit a wall after a few laps with the newer ones.

Yip I agree on all fronts. Love the design of the 90s supercars. All the Diablos, Vector, Ferraris, Astons, Jags, Spectre, Lister, Isdera, XJ220, etc. Thank NFS haha.
Also I agree on the somewhat endless potential. I guess that just shows how hard it actually is to drive these cars on the absolute limit. So in that sense I would have to disagree with people saying the F50 is easy to drive. It definatly isnt on the Ring at the limit. I constantly need to fight the wheel. And I love it. Gonna upload some 60+ Nordschleife hot laps to yt sometime in January btw. All street sports cars stock. I love testing cars :)

The Fugu Z is a disappointment to drive. Rear end squirms everywhere and body roll is atrocious even after hardening suspension to maximum all around. Definitely doesn't feel like a tuner car. If you change your mindset and treat it like a stock 1970s Datsun it's much more believable, but in its current state it's not a good promotion at all for Greddy.

F50 on the other hand drives sublimely. Engine note could be better though. Love driving in cockpit view for the multicolour speedo alone (NFS II SE memories :D).

Tesla still very slow off the line even at max power min weight. Guess some things never change in PD land physics.

Definitely.

Anyone that thinks AC has better sound than GT Sport has completely broken ears. One area that no other sim is even close is external sounds when outside the car. Nobody captures the way the sound falls off and reverberates like GT Sport does.

I never said anything about external sounds. AC is known to have weird reverb in chase cam and replays. I'm talking about bumper/interior view, and AC trumps GTS in this regards. Nobody who takes driving seriously uses chase cam anyway so it's a small price to pay.

What is BOV?

Blow off valve. That hissing sound the turbo wastegates make when letting off the throttle.

Seriously people, in today's age of information technology it doesn't take long to google answers to simple stuff like this. You would've probably gotten the answer quicker, and learnt more things than waiting for a reply in a gaming forum.

We need reverse layouts of the new Tokyo South tracks.

You can't have reverse layouts of Tokyo because those roads IRL are run in one direction. The Outer/Inner is supposed to be the "forward/reverse" variant. They're dual carriageways going in opposite directions (except for some section where they share the same road like the hairpin).

Tackled the Gr.3 Endurance Race at the new Tokyo track, loaded the Ridge Racer soundtrack on YouTube and went for the Atenza as it looks most like the original Ridge Racer car out of all the Group 3 cars (though none really looks like it). I'm having a lot of fun.

Finally had a chance to drive the new track on the GT-R GT League event and, wow... I nearly crashed when I saw the flashing light on the building in the background when you turn right after the long start straight... Not driven the new track(s) in daytime yet, but at night in a GT-R... the only way I can describe it is - this *is* Gran Turismo.

Also, for those who say there is "nothing to do" with the new cars, I haven't bought the P1 GTR yet, but the other 6 cars ALL qualify for the Real Circuit Tours events in GT League.

In fact, there are so many cars available for those races now, they very much feel like the "new" Sunday Cup to me.

Those are the main races I do in GT League. Feels like a track day to me. I get to mix it with modern GT cars, classics, "Group A" cars. Should be available for Custom Races.

I wasnt too huge a fan of the two new tracks at first but you get into the flow and work out where you can chain corners and such... they arent bad.

They have a Gran Turismo Japanese feel.

I think maybe we wont be seeing reverse layouts as the pit doesnt work in reverse? Or maybe it does? Your thoughts?

It would need a barricade at reverse pit exit. Other than that, it would still work well.

I'm not taking the tunnel section fast enough. I keep getting off the gas, thinking I need to touch the brakes like at the other Tokyo circuits. The AI just pull away.
Funny, when we had the old SS circuits, they were permanently set at night. The First inner and outer loop circuits I set to day. Now, I only like the new Tokyo circuits at night. Go figure.

Firebird Trans Am: Cool car. Sounds really heavy. Wish they bring the body kit also.

Corvette Stingray C2: Also has a heavy V8 sound. Seems like PD has an obsession to it.

BMW M3 Coupe: Bit odd addition. Nothing to say but it is the last M3 generation with V8. So cool I guess.

Tesla Model S: A novelty item. Not really go as fast as the horsepower indicates (plus that heavy weight) except for the couple of seconds of acceleration, just like real life. Why they put the RR version instead of 4WD though. I often slide on the medium corner.
Hey atleast it's quiet outside.

Got 1 dislike moment I uploaded that. Guess people do hate electric cars.

Driving the Tesla you really understand how important sound is in a driving simulator. IRL you can feel what the car is doing, but in a simulator you have to rely on other things to understand the car's behaviour and the lack of sound really makes it difficult.
Tried one custom race with it, but didn't finish since it was a pretty bad driving experience.
Bought the F50 yesterday but haven't driven it yet. The M3 is great and the Fugu Z is awesome. Can easily race against N500 cars and the handling is really predictable with SS tires.
The new tracks are nice, not as nice as the R246 was, but a huge improvement over the previous Tokyo tracks.

Does anyone think that the F50 is a little easy to drive?
Since the intro of The Prancing horse to GT the halo cars have been sons of 🤬 to drive, OK so the 458 GT3 is a little too ridiculous, but surely the F50 should be a little bit more of a challenge.
As a sidebar I haven't driven any of LaFerrari, Enzo, F40 or GTO in GTS yet so I haven't got any scale for referencing them.
Any thoughts and observations are welcome
What did you expect? If the cars in GTS would handle exactly the way their real life counterparts do most people would just stop playing the game because of discouragement. Do you expect the mercedes W08 to be even driveable for 99% of the players? I don't think most of us would even be able to get it to move. If all the cars in racing games were as hard to drive as they are in real life, the racing game market would be non existent in a couple of days.

I know, I know, the game still has the subtitle "The real driving simulator" but (luckily) in the end of the day it is just a racing game, enabling us to experience the thrill racing drivers have, well, at least, some of it :-)

In what ways does the F50 not handle like the real thing? Please elaborate instead of going off topic to imply that the entire game is dumbed down in areas that never mattered anyway, such as setting a hybrid F1 car into drive mode.

I only have the Tesla so far, but I enjoyed a couple laps in it around the Ring to get my daily workout. Very quiet outside as you'd expect, but more audible warp factor noises inside. Great acceleration in the mid range and whilst it has grip, it turns well. It's just the way it looses grip in lower transitions that is unnerving.

The F50 sticks like glue on the corners has to be the best Road car I have driven in the game.

The current Nascar cars are an abomination. A Camaro nose on what is otherwise the same generic body they've been running for 20 years is freaking hideous. Nascar hasn't been fun to watch since the 80's, when they actually use cars that resembled their street car counterparts.

On topic, I would like to see more Gr4 cars added to the game, like a Camaro. :sly:

I don't know what NASCAR is thinking, they could easily run a competition using road cars,GT3 uses Mercedes and Audis original body not a generic body with decals that resembles the real car,put a Camaro and a Dodge there.

I struggled a bit in a few of the Catalunya circuit experience segments, but not where I expected to. it was my first time on the track in GT.

In Assetto Corsa, there are certain parts of that track that feel extra slippery. The same spots give the same kinds trouble in GT, but overall driving a GT3 car on the track in GT is totally different vs. AC. Had to handle a few areas much differently.

Technically, since NASCAR owns IMSA and therefore the Weathertech SportsCar Championship which has a GTE (GTLM) and a GT3 (GTD) class, you could say they already do.

The Tesla is surprisingly fast enough to beat an Alpine A110 Premiere Edition in the Nurburgring, I tested both using the stock setup and with Racing: Super Soft tires, in which the Tesla can do a 7:41 and the Alpine can do a 7:43.

Spent some time in the E92 M3 last night. While heavy, the car turns in great and will understeer on power. Changing direction quickly can upset the car but the tendency to understeer makes its easier to manage. Very composed and balanced car.

PD did a great job on the BMW's V8 also btw.

I'm not a fan of the new P1 at all, not my kind of rig. The other cars I've been tuning have been a blast. The Firebird I think will be a great drift car for those that do that.

A side question, did we reach the end of the colors? I haven't had to buy any for weeks now.

Just got to say. Tokyo at night looks simply stunning and it's the best of all those layouts imo.

I cannot leave the new m3 alone. Stock, or fully tune on sports hard at Tokyo is joy. The balance of this car is sublime.

I have a 2011 coupe msport (can't afford to buy or run a real m3) IRL so I'm kinda bias lol
