American friends, I hope that you'll stream your achievments on Twitch during the beta for us little european guys...
IF by some miracle I get a code, I'll be streaming nonstop Friday - Sunday. I'd put my twitch but I forget if advertising your own stream is against the rules.

Edit: I'll just leave it in signature.

Was using US PSN but didn't received an email. :/ Both GT5 ang 6 has platinum trophy so i was expecting to get an email. :P

If they are looking at trophies as possible filtering, I assume they would be looking both for GT players (because they know how the game "works") but also be looking for people who play the competition: namely Project CARS and Assetto Corsa.

Beta starts tomorrow, codes will be sent out tomorrow.
No reason to give you today an unredeemable code, or greet you with a black screen with a countdown.

???

Folks can hope for videos and details to come out of the beta, but there isn't even a confirmation yet that it won't be the same content we've seen for the last ten months...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll be the same content.

Not the best idea : your PS ID below your username^^

"During the initial phase, our servers will be open for users during specific times across the day."
Well, they should tell them at least the schedule the day before. If not, the servers will be empty at the beginning because there are other things beside a beta. Curious to see if livery editor will be availabe : how Poly will deal with obscene liveries. (never was a problem with Forza for me)

It's pretty common in Beta testing nowadays to have a holding page so users can download the client before the servers go live e.g. Ghost Recon & For Honor most recently

I suspect they will deal with this by giving the player a limited number of pre-created bits and pieces to make a livery with, all of which can only be applied in certain areas and in certain ways. That would be the PD way: bland.

The plus side of this is that PD could work hard to pump out lots of good livery editor content (not bland) on a regular basis which could be obtained by various achievements - seasonal events, online racing etc. That could be a popular thing.

*edit* to say that I highly doubt custom liveries will be a part of the beta.

I'm going to add PSVR support for this as well. All I'm expecting are the tracks shown at demos along with the same cars shown. Anything extra is just a bonus to me.

When it is for Europeans? I sign in from Gran Turismo UK.

No date has been set for EU participation just yet, other than it will be imminent and after the US beta

"As the BETA begins to increase in size, those who have signed up within the EU BETA Portal or received a direct e-mail will be selected to participate in Phase 2 of the closed BETA. Spaces will be limited so, if you don’t get into Phase 2, make sure you stay tuned for future BETA activities in the run-up to launch!"

Someone will get an invite and just leak stuff for the sake of it. No matter the consequence. They just might be drunk enough to do it. It is St Patty's Day. Yes? :sly:

so no one received any messages or e-mails so far? i think it'd be ideal if they let people pre-load this beta, something tells me it's going to be quite large

GT Academy 2012 was a 3GB download.

You lost that race by a mile. @Lord Protector posted that three whole posts before you. Shame shame shame. 👍 :P

GT Academy 2012 did not have 4K assets in them
That's true. The GT Sport beta should be bigger.

I posted it for context. The GT HD Concept is 632MB. GT5 Spec 2.0 was 1192MB.

I'm not sure if we ever estimated the file size of an average Premium model.

Wouldn't have necessarily thought they'd have just emailed the codes/information for the closed beta already.

And whilst I can say much not taking part (but I'm just as eager to know myself ), I'd would assume that all the info regarding it will come tomorrow morning, as that seems logical IMO.
