If the beta is 120+, shouldn't that be worrisome for 500 GB users, since the beta is only a small portion of the game?

I expected them to release download codes in advance, like normal devs do, so people with crappy download speeds can pre-load and install in time for the beta period... But then I realized "this is PD we're talking about...".
Hopefully, it's size isn't too big, or it lasts more than a weekend. Because depending on these factors, I have friends who may miss the beta entirely...

With time sensitive things its even more important.
All of the Ubisoft betas on this generation have come out days before the beta opens, as did the Battleborn, DOOM and Halo one.
It's just common sense. With the way games are in size these days even demos can take hours.
With a likely noon release for a lot of players (especially since the beta is apparently shut down during the night for PD to work on) the first day could basically be a right off for a lot of people.
Also, the fact is with these things is you are gonna get late codes. People bitch about not getting their codes on time often with closed betas.

I've done many closed betas that allow us to download in advance. Many simply lock us out via server, requiring us to be logged in/connected to the Internet to obtain access. What's more, is that many will still necessitate updates before launch for last minute patches and throughout the beta period to ascertain issues and bugs found. Thus extending the download period even further. So yeah, it's not always done via pre-load, but w/ a game as ambitious as GT Sport, pre-loading should've been a given.
Regardless, here's hoping we all get in and are able to enjoy it.

I wished they would've given us a said time, yesterday. I may be wrong for feeling like this, but it seems, considering the backlash from fans in the past, that they'd rather say nothing at all, rather than give us a concrete date/time/info that they have to commit to. It prevents backlash if they have an issue and can't meet the planned date/time, but it makes them feel unreliable to me. Like at any point they can up & change their minds about things...
