That third Oval race was total bull----. Worst driving I've ever seen, with a crash on Lap 2 and got punted into the wall TWICE! I'm thankful my SR didn't go down but man I'm livid.

I never saw anyone from the forum until tonight. I raced with @BrainsBush , @PJTierney and the one and only @Zlork ! Hopefully get a chance to race with them and more forum users in the future.

There are some truly stupid racers who just don't care about anybody one else on the track. Particularly people who rejoin the track right in front of you without waiting for you to pass. I'm so close to level C, I just hope the racing is better in the higher classes.
I recognised the GTP_ prefix ;)

Had some good races today, never get tired of the Nürburgring.

Not really participating in the GTP forum yet (I'll follow the NDA even if nobody else will) though if you're in the Beta forum I occasionally post there.

@PzR Slim - I was actually in one of your Nurb races today but hadn't qualified so I was stuck at the back of the pack trying to make my way through.

The chaos that ensues at the rear-end of the grid is crazy, some guys just throw themselves head-first into anything, a particular point of note came when Mr.Miguel decided to throw all caution to the wind - causing a 3-wide entry into a fast corner. It went...well. :scared:

Is it just me, or does the G29 have a horrible brake? I have to force the pedal down just to slow my Lancer.

Not a big fan of it for any car. Thinking about swapping it with my G27 pedal set.

The G29 pedals feel like they go from nothing to locked in an instant. The pedal icon says I've got half applied but I swear the car is barely slowing down until I press into the last 1/8 of the travel available. Seems to be working as intended, so maybe it will take time to get used to.

All three Brands Hatch races actually went well, lots of battling and a gain to 72 SR 👍

Time for GR.3...*Gulp*

Edit: Well despite being ARCA braked at the final turn on the first lap, I still managed a 5th after starting 8th so...

The G29 pedal has a big lump of rubber in it, makes getting to 100% brake very tough, it can be removed though it will take a bit of time with a screwdriver and some Allen keys, there are vids on YouTube though.

F:censored: sake that was a trash race. Idk how 70 ping is lagging but whatever.

And then the final race I get rammed off track at first chicane... I don't know what's aggravating me more; those that stop caring for a race, or the smart guy in the GTR who kept ramming me and accused me of ramming him when he spun himself.

Last two races were surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting. Even had a actual battle with a guy I thought was another moronic wrecker, but he actually didn't punt me out the way or run me into the wall.

Damn you were lucky there. Could've been much worse.

Yes, the Senors and Senoritas do appear to be a step above when it comes to the quality of racing! Would never have guessed it was you from the PSN ID. Will chuck you a friends request when I'm next on and hope to race with you again.

I didn't like the G29 brake right away, so I 'm using the pedals from my G25. So much better.

I've raced against @BrainsBush and I was in the same race as @Sjaak last night. By the time i got through the dross, I was catching Sjaak up in one race but would have needed about another 10 laps to get there! Was in the same field as him again, but it disconnected.

Double post, I know, but I must give apologies to @richroo for spinning him out last night. I thought I was further alongside and that you'd turned into me, but on examining the video replay, I wasn't as far alongside as I thought I was. Sorry. :embarrassed:

Nah,you were at least a second faster a lap then me,three more laps and you had catched me.
It crossed my mind to wait for you but was afraid you were in a pack company and wanted to protect my hard to get SR points.

It took me ten races to get from 47 to 50
The first three Gr4 races went well, good and clean racing. The next three gr3 races I dropped back in points, mainly due off track pushes and chicane pile up by others.oh ,And one major brake failure at the first corner by myself.
Ended up at 47 again the same I started the day with.

Surprisingly,we had a new range of races in the evening.
First race at BH indy went well in my scirocco, good clean racing by the the D pack.
Second race the pack was devided in D And E racers and it was all back to horror.
Thanks to the FF Volkswagen I dropped back in the start between the E rookies, got pinballed to position 15.
Luckily those guys managed to take each other and themself out real quick so got me self back at seven or eight place.
One E racer finished with one SR point.
Third race again divided with low SR points E racers and me at the grid in seventh place with my slow starting VW,no thanks.
I bailed out.:embarrassed:

Second gr3 races at the Dragon, again with half the grid D and E.
This time My Mercedes GT3 is very fast in starting in second gear so could stay away of the wolfpack.
First corner at least four cars never braked, but ghosted on a big pile in the sand.
Second and last race I saw David and his BMW next to me and coasted to the 50 points, third race we DC.

Lots of fun.:gtpflag:

Would be nice to have more clarification behind the race selection method. In the afternoon all races were almost the same DR and SR rating. In the evening it was a mix of everything. In one race c,d,e and also low and high SR's.

They're testing a lot more then only the online server loads

Just watched the replay back and I took 2 seconds out of you on the last lap. I realise you weren't pushing and I was, but I was pleased with that.

Very, I was fortunate to come out unscathed and a position up...There's actually a very impressive example of the ghosting mechanic when Miguel tried to cut me off after blasting through - for a spilt second it changed us both to ghosts allowing him to pay for his mistake and myself to regain stability.

Obviously, in the higher ranks it would have ended in pain.

I like what I presume they are trying to do with the SR thing but it has a lot of work required on it.

Just had a race on Nurburgring in the N300s but I hadn't qualified so I started at the back, beat the other guy at the back off the line but he just rammed me out of the way when I was trying to avoid doing the same to the cars in front and my SR decreased. Then another guy in a Focus was weaving all over the place down the straights, kept going off hitting the barrier and then just diving back onto the track, every time he hit me and I got an SR decrease.

Overall I'm increasing every time I race but I'm seeing people who are racing dirty and theirs is increasing as well which seems odd.

Likewise I've overtaken people after they've had massive accidents when they've been miles ahead of me (so not a possible lag hit on my part or anything) and my SR has dropped then as well.

Also is anyone else having issues with the Beta forums? I get access denied messages if I try to visit it and I can't find any other way to get in touch with them for access.

Damn, I'd only done 4 or 5 online races.

Did Brands in the Gr.4 SLS starting from last as I hadn't qualified and finished 6th. So did a qualifying run and thought I'd have a nice start somewhere near the front and it's moved me to class d and I'm near the back but this time I've got a qualifying time in.

I was hoping for a semi easy run.

6 hours of races yesterday and I was able to participate in just 1 (race). Northern Isle, finished last. Got lapped by half of the field but at least it was clean for the most part. Basically stayed out of the way for the leaders, but by the time the mid pack started to pass they just ran me over or ghosted through. Still gained two points on the SR (62).

I think the only way to rise in DR is qualifying better and finishing better (like on Nurb which I can do), however starting in the front doesn't necessarily mean a clean race result especially in the Group 4 races with the GT-R's all banging their way to the first corner. What to do, what to do.

Am I only that unlucky that in every Brands Indy race I took part I got rammed of the track? (5 races so far, in every race I got rammed on 1st/2nd lap and lost at least 4-5 postions). Class D, 35 SR.

On Dragon Trail it's complete opposite, started the race 2nd, finished 2nd. Clean battle for 1st place (lost) + noone rammed me from the back.
