They will still get caught and kicked out anyway, the rating system will just make things easier.
I dont know why that is even a problem as long as the room managers are serious (as it should be). In spanish rooms there is no mercy for the dirty players (unless the room itself is dirty of course)
The rating system will actually make no difference in spotting the griefers if it continues to work the way it works now. They'll come into a room looking like a safe and careful driver based on their rating and only through observation and causing grief will they be identified. Only if the person reporting the incidents stays in the room and doesn't rage quit, and are trusted by the host, will it cause the griefers to be ejected. In other words, not much different from GT5/6 which was something we were hoping the SR system would help us with.

Something that's still been bugging me since the original announcement is how PD's managed to get so few layouts out of the amount of locations they have - the current official total at launch is 27 layouts over 19 locations.

So a maximum of eight tracks - less than half of them - will have more than one variant. That just seems shockingly small, especially considering that they've made several new original circuits for the game - it seems they didn't bother to make any alternative routes (as far a we know, anyways). By comparison, Forza will be landing 6-7 layouts per location - honestly I'm actually confused how they managed to cram that many in there, I can't think of many locations that even have that many routes.

But as for GT - on top of seeing in-depth demonstrations of a majority of the announced content (scapes, livery editor, career mode, etc.) I'm really hoping the added down time will have given some opportunities to add a little more track content, at minimum a bump in layouts.

You might not agree, but I don't consider any information from the Copper Box to be factual anymore. They've changed a lot since then, so I'm hoping they are taking the time to expand content.

The 50 tracks would be there and, say, 90% of the cars. Maybe $60 a year for a premium account which helps with grinding. And "premium" cars would not be so much. Low-class cars $5 and maybe up to $20/30 for exclusive high-tier racing machines.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I know times have changed but buying everything to make your game better is what has screwed up the video game industry. Companies happily sell you half a game for full price then charge for extra! I already pay for PS+ I shouldn't have to pay even more money for extras.
Games like iRacing or the Truck simulators can get away with it. They just continue to update or add stuff to the same game we originally purchased.

Games like GT or Forza don't deserve pay for DLC. I know GT doesn't follow the mainstream but most titles release a game every few years.

The cell phone game sales approach needs to end, sadly it won't cause all the developers see cash cows. I miss when we could buy a complete game.

Mobile games have totally screwed the industry over:irked:

Wow...if this trailer is anything to go by, the GT we once knew is pretty much a thing of the past.
TBH, it should have been like this instead:

GT NEW MEME.png

I know it's a "meme" but eh, this is how i felt when i saw the trailer first.

------
I hope PD don't just go quiet once again and leave us in the dark for several months.

Very nice trailer from PD - looked good, sounded good and gave us a few new cars/tracks/features. I'm very relieved that we get another Lamborghini besides the Veneno.

They didn't really drop any details, so I'm still left wondering:
1- What is the offline content going to be like (they emphasize PvP, but don't go as far as saying that it is the only means of game progression)?
2- They displayed night and early morning gameplay (I think), but how big is the time range, and will that range be available for all tracks?
3- Still no rain gameplay - are they going to do like they did in PS3 era and make us wait for release to see rain? Will rain be available in all tracks?

Can't wait to get my hands on this game :banghead::bowdown:

Edit: Do you think they caught on how everyone noticed that rain gameplay in GT5 looked better than GT6?

Upon closer inspection, this is actually a Honda NSX GR.3. The one in real life is only races in the states as an Acura.

Interestingly going back and looking at the trailer from April PlayStation Trailer closely, this does not appear to be the car that was in it (which leaves the possibility that the Acura NSX GT3 could still appear).

The car behind the Vette is the Peugeot, which is actually an RCZ GR.3. Looks like we have an actual replacement for the VGT.

Appears to be a Rallycross configuration of Northern Isle, which mimics some venues on the GRC schedule.

That's a 458. Car lacks the vents only present on the 488

Yep, that would be it

Horse Thief Mile is one of my favorite short tracks. I like the reverse layout a bit more. They must must must include both directions. To give us two tracks from Willow Springs and ignoring the third in GT6, they gotta make up for that, hmmph! Suzuka is expected to be in every racing game where applicable. One of the greatest tracks and arguably suitable for all types of cars. Glad they got that out of the way.

Now, I am and we ARE ready for El Capitan and a million Seattle hill jumps. Personally, I think Midway, Seattle, and El Capitan should be in future GT's. We've seen El Capitan in preparation for GT5 and Seattle in preparation for GT6. We shan't let them off easy if at least two of them don't return.

@ToyGTone also and I've not seen this mentioned else where but we have LMP1 cars. Toyota and Audi

I thought we already knew that?

But yeah, i didn't mention it.

Like @RACECAR said, that NSX does look different to the real life GT3 version

image4.jpg

mirrors are different, rear wing is a swan neck over-mount on the PD car, but the rest is pretty close.
And @RACECAR Thanks for correcting me.

Yes, there are GT Sport media sessions throughout the day with Kazunori.

I don't know if you can get an answer but if you could ask why development seems slow and troublesome for the outsiders it would be really great. I would love to get some more insights in why it is taking them so long and what hurdles they have/had to overcome.

It would surely add up to some more understanding.

These images that show the players status in the top right corner have a value of 2000 next to an "M" shaped icon.

My only thought was Tokens, but it would be a new symbol if so.

Any other ideas?
