Is it new?

Remember it might just be 18 drivers like we have now and the rest can only watch the race in spectator view. ;) Would be crazy to have 32 cars on track. Would love to see it, but is it even possible? I mean, with the 18 cars we have now there's already not enough space at the pitboxes, how are they going to handle 32?

SR is way too easy to gain at the moment. There are a few who I frequently see getting negative or neutral SR at the end of races, yet they still have S rating.

I don't think I've met either of those you mention before, but I did have the misfortune to tangle with Lucky_Joice in the last 'ring race today. I'd overtaken him quite cleanly, with only a little bump because he turned in on me, we both stayed on the road fine. Little later he belts up the inside taking us both off the track, and I must admit as we both got going again I took the chance for revenge  I mention it now because @Lord Protector might have video, but only of the revenge!
Oh don't you worry the race was freaking crazy... everyone was drunk-like driving

2 cars for 1 team (and 1 pit slot) or something like that :)

Hmm, seems unlikely that they'd do 32 players actually playing. I could see 24+observers or something like that. I've been in big races like that and it's a handful, especially at the start. I'm not sure that a 32 player race would actually be a positive for the game.

A 32 player race in the context of Gran Turismo online, sounds awful to me. You'll just have people crashing into each other, ramming each other off the road(intentional and by accident) and a plethora of other problems. And if there's lag, that's a whole lotta nope. The max amount of players they have now is good enough, to me at least.

E3 predictions time:

I'm going for a September release date (late September), we will get a release date at the end of an impressive trailer that showcases new cars (will include Porsche) and new tracks (will include Interlagos and Yas Marina).

We will also get an info blow out and we will see a new feature (guessing VR or Scapes related) and both car/track list will increase. Open GT academy beta in July/August. What else..... oh improved damage model maybe and hopefully more single player content.

Maybe the usual 20 cars for the daily races and 32 cars for the Sport events with dedicated servers? Could be a typo but I can't imagine a steady framerate with 32 cars on track.

@WheelmanSteve @Quakebass i hate that bug too. It's not happening in qualification runs. Only when I'm racing online against others.
I'm not using any help (just standard ABS) and like you said, it's like the ds4 is getting cut off for a second.
I did 2 races last night but I'll not race again till this gets fixed. It's really annoying to drive a corner nearly perfect and when you want to accelerate out of it and pass another car there is nothing... no force, no acceleration... I hate it. the car is accelerating in bursts...for 1-2 seconds. I think I have to make a video to explain it better.

I think it is related more to online lobbies than Sport mode.
Perhaps the max number of people in a room?

I dont know how new it was then, but I posted about it in April.

Some how, just because it was the same day as the Porsche+new tracks+EU beta announcements, it got lost.
No idea why. :P

I played online race today and its literally unplayable, brake often dont work, throtle also, and opponents have no engine sound, just very very loud wind noise, and the lags are huge.

Sounds about right!

I will add a big focus on weather and night conditions in the trailer...

i wont play online till this gets fixed!
glad my Dirt4 copy arrived today... ;)

N300 is still ridiculous.. Feels like driving a boat - just sliding more..

I've had the same thought since day 1. Compared to their GT6 equivalents, the N300 cars are weak sounding, kind of wheezy and seem to handle like poofy pillows; or floaty, without any handling sharpness. Don't like. Even the manual H-shifting seems mild without much direction or certainty.

I think that guy makes a lot of people not want to race. I don't understand how such a dirty driver can have an S Sportsmanship Rating.
Because SR is kind of a joke? SR should be harder to gain than DR, and time penalties should not go away just because you lifted for a few seconds...

All depends on how they weight incidents vs time driven clean. Once people figure out the tradeoff it'll be easy enough to just bump someone off here and there and maintain a good rating.

We need action! I don't care about the FIA or GT Academy, I want to see Seattle at sunset with jumping cars, it's time to show off! No more soporific trailers and more action please.

Yeah, there's no way they get 32 players working with their P2P architecture. 16 was pushing it on PS3 as I recall. With dedicated servers maybe, but I still think that they asking for trouble purely because of the number of things players can do to make it awful, even if all the technical problems are solved.

Yep. The idea is that at the highest level the average number of incidents that a good player would have trying to drive clean against fair opposition should come out just positive over the length of the race. That way any intentional contact is likely to be losing you rating, long term.

It's been a while since I played iRacing, but as I recall a 25-ish minute race allowed you one decent shunt or a handful of offtracks/cut corners to stay even on rating at A-class. Given that any of those can happen in 25 minutes through no real fault of your own, using one intentionally was just burning rating. Unless you were A4.00 or higher you didn't even bother trying to get into those situations.

This may be more to your liking. ;)

Just got an email with a countdown timer from Playstation about E3.
In the backround we can see GT Sport!
Anyone else who got this email too?:D
