These images that show the players status in the top right corner have a value of 2000 next to an "M" shaped icon.

My only thought was Tokens, but it would be a new symbol if so.

Any other ideas?

Global/country ranking?

To me it resembles the driving licence symbols seen in previous games.

Some of the car class groupings continue to baffle me from the trailer and screenshots.
  • Mazda 6 should be Gr.4 or some TC spec instead of Gr.3
  • RCZ should really be in Gr.4 rather than Gr.3. I can excuse the Gr.B version.
  • Who's idea was it to put a Veyron in Gr.4?
  • PD probably couldn't get the 911 GT3-R so they made a Gr.3 Beetle thinking nobody would notice the difference. #ClarksonJokes

Yes, there are GT Sport media sessions throughout the day with Kazunori.

Could you ask him if rain is in the game, and is that foggy weather in the trailer playable?

Can you confirm Suzuka in GT Sport ?
It seems we can see some part of this track in the trailer but there isn't photos...

It's in the game. The photos don't show the new Tokyo track either.

RCZ and R35 Gr. B cars look amazing!

Also so happy to see all the Photo-Mode settings, we can even make panning shots :embarrassed:
Was 3 cars in Photo-Mode always known or is it new? From what I remember they always showed 1 or 2 cars in there.

The only limitation is the size of location now. We know it since Copper Box event.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I know times have changed but buying everything to make your game better is what has screwed up the video game industry. Companies happily sell you half a game for full price then charge for extra! I already pay for PS+ I shouldn't have to pay even more money for extras.
Games like iRacing or the Truck simulators can get away with it. They just continue to update or add stuff to the same game we originally purchased.

Games like GT or Forza don't deserve pay for DLC. I know GT doesn't follow the mainstream but most titles release a game every few years.

The cell phone game sales approach needs to end, sadly it won't cause all the developers see cash cows. I miss when we could buy a complete game.

Maybe a lot of people aren't familiar with how WoT works, but you don't have to buy anything. The game can be platinumed without spending a penny. And you don't miss anything if you don't spend money. You still get the 200-odd tanks, the 74 maps, all battle modes. The only thing paying money does is reduce the grind. The game is free and it's great. The support is fantastic. It's constantly updated and new (free) content is added every month. Where Wargaming.net makes its money is from the tank collectors buying premium tanks and from the grinders buying premium account time which awards 50% more XP and Silver (credits).

As car freaks I could see a lot of collecting going on as well in GTS, especially since there is no offline mode. If PD went the free-to-play route then rare cars, exclusive liveries, photoscapes, etc... could be sold for a few dollars each. And maybe sell a permanent online pass for $10 or $20 to participate in private lobbies. I am amazed at how many people spend money in WoT and I think car freaks like us would also pay now and then to have something cool. And if you don't want to spend money, well, you're still playing the same game as everyone else and not handicapped in any way.

Special events awarding clean racing could be held to award some of the goodies for free. It creates an incentive to be clean and also fills up the servers.

I have spent $100 on WoT. Got a 1-year premium account and a few premium tanks. I don't feel the need to spend more. I have been playing for a few hundred hours with no end in sight, even though I am close to the platinum. The game is that good (if you're into strategic real-time FPS wargames). It's just addicting, and that $100 I spent is about what GTS + Season Pass would cost.

It's just an idea, and IMHO obviously, but I am finding it really hard for me to spend $60 on a 95% online game with such limited game modes. If PS+ ends up being a requirement then GTS is going to really shrink its user base. And God knows how much DLC they will end up releasing, and at what price point.

What a great post!

Is this some sort of camera on the side of this Veyron? The full picture is the second one in the GT Sport E3 Blowout news article.

I think you are correct. There seems to be one on the rear wing strut.

Thought it might be something GTS related, but it just seems to be part of the car.

I shake my head at times with GT's social media efforts.

Credit where credit is due, the Facebook account managed to update the cover photo. ;)
But then decided the latest trailer isn't worth posting, but a few snaps of some clothing is.

Honestly.

How about posting the trailer and throwing us a bone or two giving some little bits of extra info.
I wouldn't have thought it was that hard.

This was known for quite some time. As soon as the first pre-orders hit, they where announcing 1mil credits as a perk for pre-ordering.
I'm very curious how they are going to make this game economy work with the severely limited offline portion of the game. The average finish is going to be 7th or 8th online, assuming full rooms, and half the racers are going to be 9th to 16th every race. Payouts for those positions were meagre to say the least in previous games, so some sort of adjustment to prize winnings is going to be crucial to advancement through the game. In a game focused on eSports and racing online, a game economy doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Perhaps there are lots of free cars to be given out for various events and accomplishments?

I'm a bit stumped on it as well. What on a vehicle is able to be purchased for customization? If theres little to none than I'm not sure why they'd need an in game economy. Unless there are just going to be cars that are locked behind a large cash wall, where they feel it would be better to grind your way towards unlocking it. Still, thats very little use as I see it. Hopefully they reveal more later.

The only thing I can think of for higher pay outs is if they re-introduce something like the Seasonals, or, like you mention, adjusting payout prizes.

Might be a hint of the classic GT single player mode where credits are necessity to buy cars, parts, and maintenance ( oil change, body rigidity ) or not.
Well, yeah, credits should be necessary to buy cars, if its in the game lol. Maybe some car wash too? Although I can't see much with maintenance going on since the game is supposed to be BoP. It can work with offline, I suppose, but I'm sure they'd also like to keep a layer of evenness there too.

What i hate is that icant pre order the game still in PS Store

When does the floor is open for public so we can see some new gameplay maybe?

Let's not forget the "buy and sell" tab. I know my chances of the podium are few and far so I'm just going to take my 1 million pre-order credits and open up a dealership. I know I can succeed as a sleazy used car salesman :lol::lol:

BOP is only for Sport mode AFAIK. There's public lobby, so I guess everyone can tune their own cars to their liking and host these lobby just like in GT5/6, Thinking about credits makes me think about unique single players events like in GT4 ( manufacturer races, region specific events etc )

That can work, but we've seen so little that has to do with actual modifications that I'm wondering if there is going to be any.

That's the dilemma with Manufacturers Cup. If you have to have a car for a manufacturer in a certain class which car can you pick, if they don't produce a car that fits?

Bugatti essentially has only the Veyron. So take that for Gr4 or drop Bugatti from the Cup?

The RCZ-R is the most powerful production Peugeot ever. So it's the natural choice also for Gr3. I'd rather have this than a VGT.
