Wants the point of buying this game? What do I get out of it?

With Project CARS, I know i'm getting a pure singleplayer game with touring, open-wheel, rally...

With Driveclub, I know i'm getting a completely original game with amazingly real cars and original circuits.

What am I getting with GTS? GT6 public lobbies part 2?

If you think at this point GTS is "public lobbies part 2" I guess the answer is easy: Play PC and DC. Looks like you'll enjoy them a lot.

A bit article from PSX SEA by Malaysian journalist. Mostly talk about things already said many times (graphics, HDR, car models etc) but at the end of article it said :

So, already two times it is being said there will be no microtransactions in GTS. Still waiting a video from the guy who met and had interview with Kaz yesterday for further detailed information. Probably he will upload it tomorrow since now is Sunday maybe he is catching break for a while.

What's the quote? Something along the lines of, "GTS will have all the features of previous games. We haven't dropped anything".

I wonder if microtransactions means to Kaz what it means in reality. Does he mean all DLC is free, DLC not being a microstransaction, or does he mean he won't be charging players for stickers and paint chips, which is what microtransactions really are?

We don't have detailed information regarding DLC's so far btw, so might be wait a little longer for that. I'm just give an evidence there is something new came from PSX SEA, and the absence of microtransactions is likely a good news for those concern of money grinding in game.

@bdj57 cool for microtransactions! I hate to see them in game, it makes the game like a cheap mobile game.

Yeah, me too. As someone who often played mobile game myself wasn't into P2P system had featured in most of them, just want to play with default features and content available (Tbh sometimes I've tried gacha if I want to and wish for the best lol). As for GTS imo it is a good decision to put away microtransactions because you already pay the price for what is on the game.

Very informative.

I've played Project CARS maybe twice in the past year, and I've played DriveClub maybe four times because of the free PSPlus edition.

I just hope there's a Gr.X race where the player is in the Tomahawk X, and the entire challenge is to see how far you can punt i3s.

In all honesty I think it'd be some silly fun to do an "economy" race, i3 vs. Tomahawk X, one tank/percentage of a tank of fuel, and see who can travel the most distance.

The i3 has a listed range of around 114 miles, and the SRT is doing 2,500+HP and over ~14,000 RPM, I legitimately don't know who'd be able to get the furthest...

And then the SRT has the added disadvantage of having to resist punting the i3, giving it some extra distance every minute or so when it laps the thing

This is amazing if true and can not be understated. At a time where any MP in gaming is being integrated with microtransactions, for PD to remove them is a great nod to the fans.

Its great that no microtransactions are confirmed. Its one step closer to free post launch dlc.

Come on dude. DLC still takes money and time to make. SCE/PD would only give it away for free if the game had microtransactions.

I have no issues paying $$ for silly visual/appearance trinkets, avatars, and things along those lines. If I like a studio, I'll throw a couple bucks their way here and there if it means some extra content will come out of it. Fortunately/unfortunately, the way GTS has been made, there's not much other than avatars/scapes that could be included with microtransations.

Some people seem to have skewed views of what microtranscations are and what they can be.

Because they know they cant deliver......
Will be interesting to see DLC prices. I guess you're right, Poly can't deliver on time. Kaz is so vague about future updates when all the other racing games are pretty clear. This is not how you sell a game^^

Are you new to gaming nowadays? Anything with a progression system and in game currency has potential for MTs.
