It reads like they're working on the RX-7?

"Furthermore, even if all interior exterior finishes are finished, polyphony / digital car making still has not finished. Naturally, lights such as headlights need to be turned on, and it is necessary to move the needle of the meter and the wiper. Moreover, the opening and closing speeds of retractable headlights (retractable headlamps) installed in "Lamborghini Countach LP 500 S" and "Mazda RX - 7" are different depending on the car. And that kind of attention, everything from the movement of the wiper to the movement of the needle of the speedometer, is poured into every part, it takes time and effort anyway."
I can imagine a lot of players with their Mazdas, Hondas and Toyotas on Tokyo Expressway Central East Loop :D

Bloodborne reached over two million about two years ago. Something's up with that chart. I have to agree Shadow Fall was disappointing.

I was going to say that looks like a PSN Exclusive sales list but with BloodBourne missing, it's not even that. Several non-exclusive games had very strong ps4 numbers.

I said it in another thread and you just proved it.

Hey guys, look it's a turd with the GT Logo on it!

Shut up and take my money!

More irrefutable proof that sales alone mean diddly.

Not really a turd though, is it? Let's not be too extreme here.

And sales vs quality is a pretty redundant topic too, sometimes they match up, sometimes they don't.

For me, normally GT on brand recognition alone does well, but after two low par games, and a very long development well into the console's lifetime? Could affect things badly.

Who knows.

That's sounds a bit like the Ford and Chevrolet rivalry here in the US.
Yes, quite so. I haven't known a time where these two powerhouses weren't rivals!
Shadow fall did 2 million  . I found it to be atrocious.
I must admit this also came as a shock to me. I got the game with my PS4 but I never played it.

We really need these older vehicles in the game. I hope this actually confirms the existence of them in GT Sport. Fun fact: I owned both vehicle types in GT6. (Countach 25th Anniversary, RX-7 Spirit R Type A)

Not sure if serious. All they have to do is update the game with more features and content. I think the game will get good ratings overall and sales should also be better than the competition but we have to wait and see.

@sems4arsenal @jm79 @gtracedriver1 You completely missed my point. I didn't say GTS was a turd. I was saying that some people on these boards would react like that if it happened. For some people no matter what PDi do it can't be bad.

Fair, but the rhetoric was still a little bit provocative :)

Also, I really think these über fans you guys keep complaining about don't exist. It's a bizarre argument that someone would accept anything, no matter what, and more bizarre that these imaginary people would be so infuriating to you guys.

Honestly, I'm just a person who's looking forward to the game, I've enjoyed every single GT game in some way, so I'm confident in their abilities to make a fun driving game. That's it really. Please don't paint me, or others, as extremist PD zealots because of that. We can all see different faults. I've detailed mine before, I don't want to constantly do it to appease you lot.

Thanks for listening!

Also, more to the point: I'm not sure about sales accumulation, but DriveClub amassed a huge amount of extra goodwill and interest and critical appreciation from fans with their excellent and ongoing (and cruelly cut short) support.

GTS will almost certainly be a better prospect at launch, and if they come anywhere near DC levels of support, we're in for a fantastic, extended experience that gains in value, not diminishes.

I'm absolutely not talking about you or people like you. I was responding to someone saying that GT will sell huge numbers regardless of any faults it has because some people just don't care, it's GT so there! Not in as many words but that was the gist of it. Those are the people I'm referring to. And we do have a few of them around here.

The vast majority of us like GTS to differing degrees, I myself have recently written a post with my positives after being accused of only having negatives things to say. I've got zero problem with people being largely positive about the game as long as they can see the shortcomings of the game as well. You can have a dialogue with such people, you don't agree on everything, but you can discuss the pros and cons and reach some common ground. However, it's impossible to have any dialogue with those who will not say or hear a bad word about the game. Those are the people I hold particular scorn for as they are actually bad for the series.

Sorry if you got the idea of me accusing you being purely negative. I didn't mean that. I was talking in general.

Most consumers, or a vast majority fall into this category, not because they accept things for being inferior but because they just want the next big thing.

I would argue that its a few that you would be able to have constructive and informative conversations regarding a games pros and cons.

GTP's member count is only 177,000 which represents a minority in past GT sales, its fair to say the type of person that finds their way to GTP is already "more of a fan" I would disagree they are bad for the series, they represent a sale, a sale is a sale, whatever their opinion however rigid.

See? That's the problem, because I believe you're talking to me. I didn't say GT will say regardless of any faults, I said it will sell like hell because is "the tendency". Now, the future can proove me wrong, no doubt about it, but considering how well GT6 sold even with all of the faults it had, that led me to believe that GTS will sell pretty damn well in my opinion, but that's just that, an opinion. That being said, as I said, "worse" games sold incredibly so, it can happen.
On the other hand, answering your thought that I, among others, will buy the game without even considering how good or bad is it, thing that, by the way, is massively subjective but anyway... If I buy any game, I buy it with my own money because I like it, simple as that. I said it a lot of times but not so much over here because I'm not commenting often in the forum but, I'm a photographer, I have a lot of work and one of the things I do, a lot in GT, is taking photographs. The new Scapes mode and the whole new camera is incredible, and is a big reason for me to buy the game, apart from the elegance that I adore of GT in general.
New sounds? Awesome. Better physics? Awesome. Amazing graphics? Great. I don't really have the time to be playing a game, even though is a game I really like, all day long, so, if this is enough for me, is enough for me, not for you, not for everybody.
So, yeah. That.

Gran Turismo Sport will be Sony’s next big exclusive on the PS4 and we’ll hopefully get a look at how the career mode works. The overall nature of it, which seems to indicate more training than an actual campaign, hasn’t rubbed fans the right way. Regardless, a presence at Gamescom will allow fans to see how it works while those interested in the multiplayer and online racing can also have something to try. That is, unless Sony brings an older build that doesn’t showcase the career mode.

I think it might be wise to get your head around the fact that there is no career mode in GTS. This campaign mode is a thinly veiled extended license test mode from all we've seen so far.

The best we can hope for, in my opinion, is an Arcade mode that offers the possibility to put together single races and racing series to your specifications.

List of best-selling PS4 games.

I think GTS will struggle to beat Uncharted 4 but could rival it. A solid second place.

This seems very outdated and is missing a ton of third party games.

Shadow fall did 2 million  . I found it to be atrocious.

Don't think GTS will catch UC4 (which should do 10 million ish) but if it has strong reviews and great post launch then who knows.

2.1 million in a couple of months iirc
It was a launch game.

Bloodborne reached over two million about two years ago. Something's up with that chart. I have to agree Shadow Fall was disappointing.

Edit -

I don't know about best selling. Naughty Dog has become one of the most revered. Take-two might be doing swell with GTA, but Naughty Dog for exclusive games is the better pick in my view.

ND is the most revered first party studio now. They have 2 10 million IPs now.

The point is that GT hardcore fans are readily prepared to lower their own standards of a GT logo is slapped on that turd.

GT fans: ahhh what a scam Forza 5 is, rubbish. 150 cars 17 tracks, laughable. ( or something along those lines).

4 years later

GT Fans: wooo GTS 17, tracks, wooo that half mile oval looks awesome, that other oval looks awesome too, dull Tokyo track looks awesome woo, 150 cars wooo love GT Vision cars, No career mode? Woooo so hyped for GTS.

Yea the turd example is spot on.

It only took 4 years to get here, how long do you want to wait for these possible feature that never may come?

More to the point, why do you need more features when GTS will have the most features than any previous GT game at launch? Source- Kaz.

You've got the wrong guy buddy.
I loved GT5P for its focus, and don't feel the need to slag off rival videogames like that.

And try to ease up on the generalising of members opinions in such a derogatory way. If you don't like a game feature or advertising campaign or whatever, you're welcome to slag it off, but maybe try not to drag huge swathes of random members into your unfocused criticisms of a videogame you don't happen to like.

Just a thought.

It was such a big, shared, sentiment when it came out that it's hard not to generalize it like that. The backlash against that game for doing exactly what is happening with GTS now was rather large, and it's interesting to see a lack of similar approach with this game, now.

I don't think there's a problem with generalizing so long as it's clear you are generalizing - which he is. Telling other people how they should post on the other hand....

I hope its ugly otherwise i have to buy it.....

I bought a PS4 Pro two months ago thanks to a good offer by Micromania - Gamestop in France -....

But if this version is beautiful, I will have to sell again my PS4 for the purchase and it bores me a lot! :D
