How can you compere these games, playing Druveclub also every day and aftrr GT Sport ill still play it because they are diffrent games! ;)
I, personally, can't stand Driveclub. Steering wheel implementation is whack and no real world tracks. I can only stand to play it with a controller and vibration disabled. I would play it more if there was a traffic mod, which I've found out is in Assetto Corsa.

I need to try AC. That, I will compare to GTS: physics, visuals, accessibility. For some reason, I can pick up and play GT games better than Driveclub and FM. That's me. Subjective.

Edit -
DAMN IT. Sorry for double posting. Yes, I know about the multi-quote button. Human error.

We shall see. There's no way I'm downloading even 1/4 of them. I'll spend most of my time improving on taking good pictures rather than using as many scapes as possible.

As an example, I didn't use half of the cars (I'll say half of 700? unique cars) in GT5/6. It'll irritate me more than anything if I tried to use as many scapes as possible. It'll be a waste of time; time better used learning how to capture good images.

The thing is, Scapes are already partially composed photographs. You've got a limited amount of freedom to place your own personal touch on it, and that includes being skillful with photos. No doubt someone who is good will get a better shot than someone who is not, but I don't see people messing around in a single Scape for ages like we did with Photo Locations. Any single Scape is only good for a handful of shots, and then you're just repeating the same thing with different cars.

Of course, the flipside of Scapes is that while they're limited compositionally there's a metric truckload of them. However, that gets back to my earlier point. If you want to download the data even for a few hundred Scapes like yourself, that's probably a solid game's worth of downloading. I'd say for a non-trivial amount of people that's a problem, and even for people with fast, uncapped internet waiting a minute to load into your Scape of choice will be irritating. See how many people found the loading times in GT5 annoying.

Given the size of them I think not including them as part of the mandatory install is clever, but making them DLC is a mistake.

Damn, you left out the best part of it. The vibration on Driveclub works like a force feedback. Oversteering when turning to the right and the left part of the pad vibrates more that the right part.

For me Driveclub is the best pad control I've ever played (that I can remember). Although hardcore mode seems to me less enjoyble. Exactly the opposite with wheel: in the normal mode, the aids are extremely intrusive and it feels extremely unnatural but with the hardcore mode, it feels quite good for me.

I would agree, its no sim, but with hardcore mode and a wheel its got far more depth to the physics engine than many give it credit for.

Really? I hated GT5 and GT6 with a pad. I'd already got used to a wheel by then. GTS, on the other hand, was very good with the DS4 during the Beta. Driveclub was a lot better with a pad than GT5 or 6 for me.
Agreed. Driveclub is one of the best racing games in terms of pad implementation in my opinion. In GT6 it takes about half a second just to respond to the pad's input of turning full lock left to full lock right, making slides nigh on impossible to catch. In Driveclub, the response is so much quicker and smoother.

I used to play with the vibration enabled, but I went back to play DC without vibration enabled and I prefer it this way. It's distraction me. It's personal.

I dont know about GTS but completely disagree about GT6... the control is so precise and you can have full control of your car no matter how bad the handling is.
It is better to play it with the wheel of course, and you can go faster with it, but it's till great on pad.

From what I've read and seen so far I'll be sticking with Driveclub, with all the challenges still coming thick and fast and the replay value of all the DLC packs and tours, it's a game I play every day and still love, with probably the best tracks out of any racer I've ever played, it's still stunning to look at too.. just my humble opinion of course
I have actually played DC a bit. I like it, but I definitely prefer GT. Something about the handling in DC just feels weird to me. Maybe it's more realistic, I don't know.

Yet people shouldn't apply the offline mentality to an online race because you need to be prepared for defeat. I gather that some people are unaware of the reality and that detracts from the racing quality.
What people should do and what they actually do or their natural tendencies are, are quite often two entirely different things.

I liked the Motion Steer in the GTS Beta. Super smooth and responsive. also precise. Driveclub's Motion Steer is a little weird but I still use it sometimes. Mario Kart got me hooked on it and I bought the Move Racing Wheel for GT5 & GT6

Well, we had "AL1VE" debuting with GT6's Gamescom trailer, and there was no such trailer this year for GTS.

I'd say wait for TGS. We'll probably hear a new song there.

(Either that, or Daiki is not in this game at all, despite having an armada of his old stuff in the beta... @Shirrako?)
Music should be in the finalizing stages around this time, from my research, race music is being picked very late in the development cycle, around 2 months before release.
I don't know if Daiki is involved, I could dig around or try to get in touch, but I think i'll take those steps if he ends up not being involved, would be curious to ask the question "Why?".

All I know is...
GT Sport is a new Gen title, as which every Generation, Polyphony takes a different approach, since GT Sport is more of a reboot/spin-off, it's likely Polyphony are going for a different music feel than the original franchise, that's what I have been told from one of GT6 music vocalists, I'm curious to see what music choices we will see in the racing library.

PD needs to release their soundtracks.
