I have been out of the loop for a while, and I was wondering if there is a thread dedicated to all the different editions and pre-order bonuses available by region for GT Sport. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide a link if that exists, or info in general, as I am very interested in the collector's edition that comes with a die-cast model, but from my brief research I see it is not available for the US (my location).

A couple of "Feeder" tracks popped up on shuffle over the weekend, was taken right back to an older version of Gran Turismo......................

Can you imagine how long it would take for PD to actually do that though? lol

Edit: found this, I'm going to make my own playlist
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_of_the_Gran_Turismo_series
👍

There is one song that I can't find, for the lube (edit - life; I had to keep lube in. It's the best autocorrect ever) of me. Hopefully I can find it in that list. Shazam doesn't have it and I've searched the playlists @Shirrako has on YouTube.

Who would've thought that sounds played through musical instruments that feature in a video game would be considered fake music?
There's a fake news joke here but I'm too lazy to make it.

Edit: oh and btw this soundtrack is so bland it could be a box of muesli, it has it's moments but quite a lot of it just sounds like a generic royalty free YouTube channel composed the soundtrack.

Standing in line at PAX & looking forward to playing with a wheel.

Instead of the regular demo, which had one of the Tokyo highways from the beta, I ended up with the VR version, which was 3 laps around the "short" Willow Springs.

VR is amazing - I hadn't tried that before. As far as the driving goes, the best way to describe is that it felt very "Gran Turismo".

How was the AI?

How was the AI?
Unfortunately, I couldn't tell since there was only 1 other car on the track for the VR demo.

However, I also played demos for Forza 7 and Project Cars 2. The AI in those acted like you'd expect. Forza 7 drivatars were banging into each other like crazy (I was driving the new Porsche in Dubai), while the AI in Project Cars 2 (Formula Renault 3.5 @ COTA National) behaved professionally and reacted well to my somewhat poor driving.

Since my Pulse Elite Headset broke, i had to choose(decided to buy pcars 2 and gts on the realease).
GTS moves with my feelings, and PCars 2 seens to be a more completed game, I'll probably go to Pcars 2, but i'm didn't make my mind yet.

PS: Later i'll buy the other for sure.

May i ask you how your headset broke? Did it literally broke (into pieces) or did it just die? Have the same at home and dont want that 180 euro thing to stop working anytime sooner (or later)!

Acctually a friend of mine sitted on it months ago.

I fixed it with a clue called Araldite but now it broke again and some wires were damaged.

But the phones seens to break if you don't have enough care with it, my cousin had a pulse elite and it broke too.
Here in Brazil we can even buy some type of device to prevent it to break, but i never used, my headset lasted nore than 3 years, and the pusle version is really great!

Ah okay thats a reason for big fragile headphones to break

Seems i have to hide it from my 3 year old son since he is pretty throwy and jumpy little guy :D

I am also happy with the headphones, they are especially great for listening with my iphone as they can get very loud and have super clear highs and decent lows!

And to say something on topic: PDs marketing got pretty silent
I am eager to find out what exactly ,,custom race“ is - hope its big enough to tame peoples worries about offline gameplay :nervous:

Interesting discussion on GAF. What will be the biggest holiday exclusive this year. GT vs PUBG vs Super Mario Odyssey.

PUBG is huge but the fact it's on PC already might affect it. SMO has way less of an install base but should move a lot of units.

GT>PUBG>SMO for me.
WWII will steal the game this holidays IMO(I know its not ex) otherwise just the install base grants GT a win.

Yeah, I agree. All three high quality and varied titles btw. Go videogames.

Install base, the long wait, and name recognition will probably make GT top, but the other two will be huge also.

Who was at PAX West over the weekend? I got to play GT Sport with the PlayStation VR headset and it was incredible. I want a VR set now for my PS4 Pro. I also got to meet the North American producer for Gran Turismo and he was such a kind and warm person to talk with. Friendly and excited to speak with me. We talked a lot about other racing sims, general life stuff, and GT Sport. He was grateful that he got to talk with me and to learn that i'm such a huge fan of the GT series. I was very grateful for the opportunity myself to speak with him.
