While it won't entirely be that, the races are likely to be few and far in between. It's really lookiing like the majority of it might be what your saying, with some races thrown in for good merit. Although, I wouldn't expect any significant style of races at this point in the career mode. You'd likely have to get your offline racing itch from Arcade mode.

I'm an online type of gamer myself but still like doing all the offline stuff in GT and it looks like I could do the lot in a weekend lol not much of a challenge for platinum

This has nothing to do with anything but, seeing as the La Ferrari is the game, will we see the Porsche 918 and the McLaren P1?

If only it worked like that. We might yet see them in the game, and it would make sense for the three of them to be there, but it's not as if they're part of any official series so they're not mutually dependent.

GTSport's marketing in Spain has been better than any country

Spain is Playstation territory by a mile. There are 7 PS4 for every XBOX One sold. Here in Spain, to play videogames you dont say "let's play videgames", you say "vamos a jugar a la play" that means "let's play playstation" (in spain we call the playstation "play", as you have already guessed, it's the first part of the word "playstation").

It's normal that the marketing push is bigger here, because the market is extremely solid and huge for them.

Spain and Germany are fortress Playstation and Granturismo (UK to an extent as well). But seems Kaz has a soft spot for Spain. Wasn't the 15th anniversary event there as well?

PD never change much is out the window with this game.
Ok, in that case

And assuming this
the economy is geared towards online participation.

Balancing the economy is going to be difficult if much of the player base doesn't spend large amounts of time online
Much of the player base** simply needs to get up to speed with the game, and play it as it's now been designed to be played.

** Pretty much the noisy people here on GT Planet,
which does not represent the majority of players around the world who are looking forward to the new game
and who do not care about grinding for days and completing out-of date events for the 7th time (GT1 through GT6)

In the Immortal words of Bob Dylan,

Your old road is Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one If you can't lend your hand
The times, they are a changin'

I'm excited for the online aspects. I believe a game like this will create a new era for racing competition. There's so much more joy to winning when you have to earn it. I believe there will be some really good competition and some solid races. If you like offline cpu then it's simple.... Go buy PC2 or Forza. This is going to be a solid game. Can't wait for it to come out.

Oh, what article did you happen to read?

Same in Argentina. "Vamos a jugar a la Play". XBox is practically non-existent here. PC non-existent, too, due to their high prices. And Logitech is the only peripheral company with warranty so it's G29 or nothing.

"PlayStation Portugal has announced through a press release sent to VideoGamer Portugal that on October 2nd, Monday, the Estoril Autodrome will be the stage of a special event dedicated to Gran Turismo Sport in which some Portuguese professional pilots will test the new driving simulator from Polyphony Digital.
Filipe Albuquerque, Pedro Couceiro, Pedro Lamy and Pedro Matos Chaves will be the drivers that will be present at the event, and in addition to showing what they are worth on the virtual tracks of the exclusive PlayStation 4, the drivers will also take the guests to participate in a " "by the Circuit of Estoril."

My portuguese is a bit rough but it says that the drivers will do some virtual laps in-game and will take invitees around Estoril IRL.

So Brands Hatch/Nurb/Tokyo fest all over again

No idea. About the soft spot, could be. But the only reason that comes to my mind is Lucas.

After a few days with PC2 online license system, I'm very curious how GT's will be.

IMO better in theory.

SONY Spain is preparing an event in Madrid to promote GT Sport. A Ferrari 488 Spider and 2 Lamborghinis Huracan will circulate on Thursday and Friday for Madrid and if you take a selfie with them you can win several packs with the game.
