I love the game, but it needs work. By work I mean bugs, and needed online features such as "Party" for "Sports Mode". Would love to race an actual good online race with friends instead of randoms only. Yes friends would have to meet same qualifications that are implemented via the matchmaking system.

Sports mode needs more than three races and is God awful for loading times as well.

The manual save needs fixing along with servers and connectivity issues. Five minute black screes are not acceptable.

Where are the tune shops with Turbos with stages, Super chaging, port polish, triple plate clutch, engine balancing, ect? The prebaked is kinda cool, but not the same.

As for the Livery editor, please allow my design for all cars I get. I don't want to remake for every car. Also how about "Mirror Duplication " per/ all layers.

As for progression, please allow my career stuff ,cars, money, exp, everything to transfer over to full game (if we should call it that), if I get it. if issues are fixed. I don't wanna redo stuff I spent hours on. It can be done.

Plase fix as I want GT to keep the crown. Bad enough "Career" is laughable and driving school is a waste of time. If you cannot race you will lose. You will learn that way. Plain and simple.

I miss the car wash and oil change as well.

I hope Polyphony see's and addresses this. I wanna remain a fan. GT on PSX was the start, I don't want this to be the end.

I am sure many of you have experienced the same if not more. Please state them so we can get this sorted out REAL SOON.

Thank you.

For those wondering, the Veyron Gr.4 has great potential. Came 2nd out of 20 at Magiorre in the daily race, only being beat by a 650S Gr.4.

I saw that at the end of the race and I was impressed. I have a hard time getting good lap times out of it.

Its all about consistency and working out your pit strategy early on and sticking to it. To win I turned the fuel map down to 6 and made it a 2 stop race, stretching out two long stints on the hard tyres and using exclusively the lowest fuel map before speeding up for the final stint on mediums. I was able to get 13 useful laps out of a tank of fuel, and did one stint of 13, then one of 11 and a final of 6.
Thanks for the help man ima definitely try that out !

1/3 crash for me. Yes indeed, my day of has been these 3 races all day.......

IF the manual save was offline it wouldnt NEED fixing.

Ah yes classic GT...this is like the McDonalds of racing. All the stores/food/staff look/taste exactly the same every visit only the customers change

SECOND THIS! Plus add a text editor to add lines of text instead of 1 char at a time. Unless I'm missing something?

As for progression, please allow my career stuff ,cars, money, exp, everything to transfer over to full game (if we should call it that), if I get it. if issues are fixed. I don't wanna redo stuff I spent hours on. It can be done.
I think it does IF we do....

The emperor has no clothes but he runs fast naked. Even with clothes he has no personality at all.

I miss the car wash and oil change as well.
Well maybe not the car wash...dirt=driving history!

I can remain a fan if I DONT count this as a regular GT game, and they leave online OUT of GT7 to make up for it, so we would have 2 concurrent titles, one for the legions of old timer fans, and one for the speed kings (you Aliens know who Im talking about!) and boy racers.

I am sure many of you have experienced the same if not more. Please state them so we can get this sorted out REAL SOON.

Thank you.

I edited the actual quote above - not sure how to do it line by line here

OH,.,,I finally got my A in SR..yay....although now as a D almost C rank in DR I will never EVER get higher than 15th on the podium from now on.

I just played some more, literally got off now. The demo is still up. Now getting back to the game:

Hate to sound like a jerk, but guys ignore the negativity. If this game had serious flaws I would mention them. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is this is the most refined GT I've ever played. The new reward system is neat, has three categories now. The menu and menu music is very refined. The backgrounds in the menu are awesome as well, random live shots of cars driving by. Random historical facts pop up. Very chill menu music. Zero glitches what so ever(besides demo closing down, only happened once so far, and not an issue with full game). There is a friggin watch museum too! I didn't look at it yet but will in the full game, lol. The graphics are really good, the lighting is really good. The tracks are more vibrant. Maybe not as alive as Forza but getting close. The physics everyone will be happy with. It's not like other hardcore sims, but it has it's own style which is both realistic(for most part), fun and a bit easier than other hardcore sims. The AI is competitive now. Not bat$hit crazy like AC AI which will bring you to tears. The 'campaign' portion is very fun, that's actually I've been playing.

There are three sections and you have to progress to unlock more and more levels. It's a good amount of content that will keep you happy for awhile. I can't comment on the track list since I don't know where to access it. You can customize your cars and driver. They really focused on quality and you will notice it. They took their time and it actually paid off this time, unlike previous titles which seemed rushed.

This game is very fun too. GT is our playstation exclusive and you guys should go out and support it. It's not a hardcore sim only like other titles, this is a sim that is also fun and has many unique features to it.

The only genuine issue I see right now, is the car list. There is not a great variety. They have addresses and will put forth free dlc. Another thing that would be nice if they could add more events to the 'campaign' mode in the future to keep us occupied. Now I would like to publish my initial car dlc wishlist:

-Chevrolet: Camaro SS 1LE, Camaro ZL1 1LE, Standard Z06, future ZR1
-Ford: Mustang GT350, future GT500, Focus RS(new one, unless it's already in the game, forgot)
-Ferrari: 430 or 430 scuderia, 488 GTB, 812, 599 GTB or GTO, F50
-Lamborghini: Aventador, LP640, Diablo
-Nissan: 370z Nismo and GTR nismo
-Porsche: Turbo 911, GT2 RS
-Audi: v10 r8 plus, s5-s7?
-Mercedes: Need some AMG coupes and sedans(c63s, e63, cls 63), Slr 722
-BMW: M3, M5, M6, i8?

.....
.....

Can't think of more right now, if anyone wants to add to the list please do so.
I'm sorry, what? Are you suggesting GTS is a hardcore sim that is also fun unlike others? Its as hardcore as Driveclub. I it's also pretty damn boring ,every car feels the same, just with less/more speed and grip.

Wow never played a racing sim that controls this good with a controller. I have a wheel just was curious and I was surprised. Never knew you can flash your headlights by clicking L3.

Hey yall quick question, is there any need at all for the credits in game right now? Besides for transferring over 1M, can we use any at all in the demo? Thanks!

I really miss car wash and oil changes too. I always wished they would go further into that kind of stuff, it gives you a nice feel of ownership for the cars.

Im telling my wife “look how photorealistic this game is!” and she like “Its okay but I can tell the difference if it’s real or not”.
So we bet. I showed her three pictures, if she can tell where is what - two was real, one was from gt sport.
She called all of them wrong. 3 out of 3!
Kaz you are genius!

Friend sent this from Washington. Will ask him for further details.

Not sure if you're being serious or... Cause that Drive Club comment made me lol.

My experience is completely different from yours. In no way does a Peugeot RCZ feel anything like the Ford Mustang. Just like the LC500 feels nothing like the GTR they gave me. All four have required decidedly different suspension tunes that have been successful (to varying degrees) in emphasising the good whilst mitigating the bad.

For the record, I drive with nothing on with a controller. Not even ABS. Everything off.

The one thing I would say as a blanket statement is that on the expert level driving style, which retains TCS, ABS, and ASM (I think), the cars tend to be more likely to snap oversteer as opposed to the default numb push of understeer from GT5/GT6.

In a past life, I was a computer capacity planner. Surprises like this cut both ways!

Congratulations to Kaz and the PD team

I was not expecting so many people to download it. This bodes well for the total game sales.

WE NEED F1 SOON AND BE NEW MODEL !!!!

Hyper one coming to GTSport? maybe the new F1 racer?

Man PD are going big with the marketing.

Could it possibly be a Lewis Hamilton challenge like the seb vettel X1 challenge. The reward car could be the mercedes project one the new hyper car.
What if you get nothing? I wouldn't hold my breath for a really special Mercedes Benz being added. His input may not signify the inclusion of a new car. I know everyone would want it but I can't see it happening. It seems to me that he is simply contributing his racing knowledge to GT Sport.

In the past day, has anyone noticed on any single player things that the cars are easier to handle and the AI is a little more lax? I did all of the single player stuff available to me a second time. (I did it all once, and when I opened up the demo again, all of my credits, mileage points, experience, and single player stuff was reset, but silver lining: I got to keep all of my cars and liveries.) I'm not sure what happened or if it was the servers screwing up, but anyway, I did the single-player stuff to get more cars.

All of the challenges feel significantly easier than when I first did them a couple of nights ago. I was struggling to keep control of the cars, every one of them felt like the Cizeta V16 from previous games: prone to snap oversteer at the slightest provocation. The AI was kind of aggressive and would leave me in the dust if they got past me. Tonight, it felt like a nice calm drive through a lot of them. There were tense moments, sure, but overall it felt a lot more comfortable, ESPECIALLY mission 6-8. I had to restart that half a dozen times a night or so ago, and I just about lost my cool when a couple of laps towards the end, I make one little mistake that sends my Porsche chasing its tail and it sends me from first all the way down to about 7th.

I just finished it again tonight, and while the Huracan, the McLaren, and the M6 got a little persistent behind me, the car felt a lot more composed and I only really goofed once or twice, easily taking the win. (The last few laps were a wee bit tense, because that M6 would not let up behind me.) I'm wondering if something changed with the servers or what. I think experience and comfort with the controls (moving from PS3 to PS4 controls felt like a little more of a jump than I was expecting) owes to a little bit of that, but not all of it. (After doing 60+ laps around Lago Maggiore, I feel like I know that track pretty well now, that's for certain.) Any idea if they tweaked anything?

Did my first race at the Italian track, forgot the name of it. I only did one qualifying run, on a track I've never been on before. Somehow I was P6. Managed to work up to P4, and from my point of view it was pretty clean. On the last lap, the 2nd place person spun out, and P3-P5 caught up to them. Then on the last corner, they had a wide entry to the corner, and drove down to the apex, hitting the car next to them, and they spun out. It's how I got to P4, lol.

I'm pretty pleased, with no track knowledge, and no FFB at all with my Fanatec wheel.

I am enjoying the demo and am happy to see it extended by a day. I didn't play as much as I wanted as the house painting needed finishing before the weather turns.

Cannot wait until I get stuck into the Livery Editor. That will wait until Christmas as I have enough games to keep me more than occupied until then.

Hey guys, I didn't want to start a new thread for this as I expect it would've already been discussed at length. Sorry for the dumb question, but...

Which PS4 would you recommend? I just want to make sure I can play this release and any possible subsequent releases for PS4 from PD. PD is the only stuff I've bought since the ATARI 2600 days, and I only upgrade my PS console for it, and obviously only install PD! I know, I've always had it bad.

So, do I need a fancy, schmancy-chipped version or do you think that in the unlikely event we see another PD release for PS4, it'll support the v1 console? Any disadvantages right now in running GTS on the v1 console?

Thank you so much. I was gonna hold out maybe 'til next year in case a GT7 appeared, but this looks far-too-good to pass up on or even wait too long for...

PS4 Pro features will be limited to higher res/frame rate type things. Sony has mandated that game-play features or games cannot be PS4 Pro exclusive.
If your new to PlayStation 4, maybe the Pro is just better because it'll run the games 'the best', but a standard PS4 will play all the same games and this doesn't look likely to change for the foreseeable future.
