I want to know about the unlock time , does it similar to steam that we need to decrpyting the game files before play (means a handful of minutes to wait after they're unlocked to play)

or just when the countdown goes to 0 I can straightly jumped into the game?

how do you set your downloadoptions?
1. Go to
settings-icon-01-ps4-eu-22jul15.gif
[Settings] > [Power Saving Settings] > [Set Features Available in Rest Mode] > Tick the check box next to [Stay Connected to the Internet] and [Enable Turning On of PS4 from Network]:

2. Go to
settings-icon-01-ps4-eu-22jul15.gif
[Settings] > [System] > [Automatic Downloads] > Tick the check box next to [Application Update Files].

3. Press and hold the PS button and select [Enter Rest Mode]. The power indicator on the PlayStation 4 system will turn orange.

You may have to give it a nudge if it doesn’t start by going to the Store and manually selecting download.

163 cars (+2 missing Lotus)

Lot of them are just different versions of one model and don't get me started on VGT cars...so the number should be around 120/130 more or less . PD did a good job with the game but they waste time because if Kudos release cars so fast i don't see how PD can't do the same since their cars have less advanced handling model . Same thing for tracks .

So I still have the demo on my PS4 and GTS full game already downloaded and locked. Can I delete the demo or do I need to hang onto it in order to receive the cars and credits? I'm guessing I can delete the demo because everything is saved on servers now but looking to see if anyone knew for sure.

noone knows for sure but I think we can agree that you can delete the demo ;) I did too

Keep it on there until full game is live

Just to back @Lord Protector up, I also deleted the Demo too. So just go for it haha, I don't think it'll be needed anymore as the save data is saved on the servers* now or for the time being. (Hopefully)

Here it is!

Good to see that Lewis is impressed by the game in the same way that I am, also his earlier years he used to play GT like I'm sure a lot of us did. Maybe school, GT then homework though. I really want a T-GT now. Lewis getting into F1 and making the impact he did got me interested in GT again and how to drive competitively around the time when GT5P came out. I think he played that game online too. I realised with time observing how he drives and what he says, how simple it actually is. Not as complex as I first thought and you don't need to have superhuman powers to drive well to an extent.

Main things are braking as late as possible while barrelling as much speed into corner and getting good clean early exits keeping the minimum speed as high as possible. Feels really good when you hook up a lap where you don't really break traction but drive to a point where you are just about to while nailing every apex, rare occurence though at least for me. :dopey:

Anyway, so frickin' awesome that Lewis approached PDI to be in the game. Good to see other drivers like Kamui and Carlos also being involved with GT. GT Sport seems like a best of GT game, nostalgia executed well. 👍

I do think future GT games will be better on PS5 though, but as a significant milestone in GT history, this one I think will be very hard to beat.

I'm not going to start a new thread cringing about how unfair this is because I understand racing isn’t always fair. However, I’m curious how the guy I’m racing against runs super late on the brakes, punts me off the track and I receive a 10 second penalty!! Who decided that running wide garnered that big of a penalty? I was already serving one for running it too late on the brakes into turn one lap one, my fault yes, still too much of a penalty but the 2nd one for 10 seconds was a bit excessive.

Any kind of contact can result in a penalty, even if it's from behind. I think the level of punishment relates to the velocity of the impact. It's not perfect, but I think it will improve. Try and race without contact to get your SR improved, then you will be matched with cleaner racers.

I thought "s" was the highest rating?

There will be always some level of perceived unfairness in every decision like this. Even in F1 with multiple stewards and TV replays, it's never completely clear all the time.

Perhaps try looking at the race replay again, and see what happened to the guy before he hit you? Perhaps he was hit first by someone else, or there was just a random pile up that affected you...?

And of course, there are no stewards here, it's a system and no system outside Skynet is foolproof. Just keep racing and if you do it generally clean, over time it will be noticed.

Maybe :)

Yeah those penalties from behind need addressing for sure. I had 20 seconds worth before I got out of the Senna-S on the first lap in one race. Spent the next 3.8 laps anxiously looking over my shoulder like a Hollywood producer.

For me SR is not the problem here. Take as much as they like I know I will get it back up there. It's asking me to slow down that is the problem. Like you said, it's not perfect, it's never going to be even close to perfect as there are too many variables but in the demo it felt too punishing some of the time.

I can't watch the replay at the moment. Did the following driver also receive a penalty?

You didn't slow down for either of the penalties you were given (which would have removed them) and effectively ran for almost the entire race with marshalls waving this...

...at you, and you ignoring them.

GTS is rather mild in just giving you 10 seconds at the end, stick all the flag rules on in iRacing or PC2 and you would have got either a drive through or a DQ out of it.

I have issues with GTS' penalty system, but this was down to the driving ignoring the warning and little else.

Love the Analogy :)

Do you have the race replay to show the incident from the other drivers POV?
