Codename for the Evora. That's what the car was known as during development, PD was the first to debut this car back in GT5 Prologue about 10 years ago like they did the C7, the 458, the California, the SLS and the 599 over the series history.

Forza also names its cover cars in codenames internally within the game files. Examples such as the Bellisima (Centenario), Phoenix (Ford GT) and Wellington (McLaren Senna).

Fair enough! I didn't know about the code name.

Interesting that these cars still remain in the game after all this time, maybe they'll add them to brand central when the lotus license conditions change, if ever for this game.

That's a negative. They are the only two Lotus vehicles in the files that I've seen:

If there were anymore listed in any text databases, I'm unable to read them (yet) because PoDi has encrypted them this time around...
Oh hey.

Thanks for the reply though. I really appreciate that you're looking for cut content in GTS. Hopefully there might be more secrets lying there. :)

Unfortunately that looks to be all for now. This is just on the base game version, which is long past us now. Everything published on The Cutting Room Floor is just from the base game version at the moment; hopefully I can check out what lies on updated versions of the game.

Welcome back! I just came back this year as well.
Thank you!

I was kinda apprehensive about it, what with the focus on online racing and all... But with all the additions PD made since launch, I really couldn't resist. Needed a new driving fix anyway and GTS at 20 bucks certainly beats Forza 7 at 50 bucks (plus an arm and a leg for the DLCs, I guess).

Found myself enjoying the game far more than I expected, especially the Gr. 4 races. I might actually dive in a little deeper than I wanted once I shake of the rust.

Seems to be a blue Zonda S 7.3 like the one from GT Concept.

Edit: Correction it seems to be a Zonda S Roadster, although this is probably for recording purposes and not representative of the car they'll actually use.

Exactly. That #roadster.

Anyway, wasn't that 7.2 Zonda in the UCD, the rarest one? It cycled after a long while.

Now I wonder if we would get Zonda R or Huayra returning in GTS... Or any recent Pagani's...

Edit : Recently found on my Instagram feed, someone who owned NSX revealed that his car was used for the GTS sound recording. Possibly it is sound sample for recently added NSX-R but if you noticed the car used for recording sample is an Acura though :

However, this is probably the most interesting piece as someone asked to him :

I wonder what "open and closing doors" for to be honest...

Hold on: #acura. So, it may be the '91 Acura NSX in the hidden code. California plates would confirm that, as no Type Rs were imported to the USA in 1992. Unless, it meets that 25year law thing.

Could it be the finished sound sample later is adjusted with software to match NSX-R engine noise by the way? As I remember standard NSX and NSX-R both sounds pretty similiar with Type R having slightly aggresive exhaust noise I think.

Isn't it supposed to be easier for PD to find right Honda in Japan instead of recording Acura in USA?

It is indeed easier to find NSX in Japan, especially NSX Type R so probably you are right though. Just wondering for such theory because the NSX owner posted this in which a week after the September update was added that include NSX-R so wonder if this whole thing is related. That was just my personal thought by the way.

So, perhaps this is actually another sound sample for later and upcoming car addition then?

Yes, I'd think it's the USA car. Spoon Sports have a few Hondas in their garage. Namely, the coveted NSX-R GT.
Also, he says it was a while ago. Can't remember when the '91 NSX code was found.

I'd imagine that the sound from the car would change with the doors open versus when they are closed as some of it must be leaking into the cabin. With all of the acoustic variances they're capturing it makes me think that they do some level of interpreting and mixing of various acoustic perspectives to create the finished sounds.

But what concerns me is how they're recording the audio without much regard for the background as they seemed to have just pulled a car halfway into a garage. The reverb of that would be horrible for a recording like that.

The lack of track acoustics always bothered me in the game. When I drive against a wall, the acoustic bounce back should be drastically changing the engine sound. Conversely, an engine on an open track sounds drastically different than in a garage.

That could be the point, but he mentioned open and closing doors which specifically means toward door sound mechanism. That leads me to think we might have Forzavista style showcase in GT, not sure whether that is going to came to GTS or future title.
