Here's another trippy thing about lack of wet weather in GTS. In GT6, when it rained, front & rear fog lights were activated. In GTS, we have the option to turn on Rain lights. For Scapes only, but PD see fit, to enable cars so equipped. Weird one.

We also only have one mission challenge where there is rain, or rather where the stage is completely soaked.

It was weird... It's not enough to properly judge how the car feels. Plus all I heard was water being picked up by the tires; almost drowned out the engine noise.

(This is Mission Challenge "Chapter 7" - Rally Exhibition stage )

I was an A rated driver with a score of 32,715. I did one daily race B tonight and it dropped to 15,000.....the next race it dropped to 7,000. The next race I finished 1st and my score dropped to 6,730. These races included some minor bumping and penalties but nothing abnormal.....

Has this happened to anyone else?
Oh, yeah. It's happened to me several times, mostly because I can't seem to keep my nose clean. Either I rear-end too many people, because I suck at braking, or because I get vengeful and look to pay back the trolls (when the same guy hits me enough times that it's obviously not accidental).

After having my DR reset enough times, due to SR, I quit taking DR seriously. Some have argued that DR is the ultimate indicator of a driver's speed. It's not. There are extremely fast guys with low ratings. And, yes I do realize the opposite it not true. There aren't any slow drivers at A+.

Some have argued that DR is the ultimate indicator of a driver's speed.

It is, when combined with SR.

A quick driver with low SR and low DR because of DR resets is that very driver that everyone moans about - there are no quick drivers with a low DR becuse they are unable to get around without hitting the moving obstacles that are other racers, what your describing is fast hot lappers under qualifying conditions with no one around, that is not a fast racer.

So they've started handing out the Victory Bonuses based on the results of the FIA World Finals at Monaco.

Pleasantly surprised and thankful for the light credit boost!

I believe this applies for both the Nations Cup and Manufacturer's Series, so you'll be awarded money if you're from Brazil, Germany or Australia and if you've signed up for Lexus, Toyota or Aston Martin.

Me waiting for that notice from PD:

So why the hell is it shown as 1,000,000 on the website?

I'm waiting for my Toyota bonus of 150.000 Cr.

The Cutting Room Floor brings you an early Christmas present:

Found in Version 1.13, I believe this course is not used at all. It looks nothing like any previous course I've seen so far in the Gran Turismo series, yet the layout is familiar to me for some reason, like a hybrid of Kyoto Driving Park, Fisherman's Ranch, and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

EDIT: See the posts below for the debunking of what this course actually is. No wonder why it's "unused".

Maybe?

I think this could be correct. After examining the accompanying textures and piecing together some areas of the course, this very-well could be the "trailer course" used to advertise the new cars of an update. Why it's a circut rather than a point-to-point course is a mystery, but why not, I guess.

To connect the pieces of the puzzle, the video above, at the 2:07-2:10 time stamp, with the Nissan GT-R, the foilage and shrubs in the background behind the right side of the car are actually textures that always face the camera, one of the oldest tricks in the Computer Graphics book still being effectively used today by PoDi.

I agree about the Daytona. Worth the grind and Cr. Exciting car to steer. Try a One Make at Bathurst. Do one lap or multiple. Doesn't matter. Start from 20th. ;)

Also, 1.13 is the first update with car showcase like this, so pretty much confirmed.

I guess since there's no info about it at all, PD never thought of releasing this as nice time trial and photomode track for players.

UPD: I'm wrong

"Lastly, it was announced that the e-sports "Porsche E Racing Japan" with the Gran Turismo SPORT software for PlayStation 4 will be held.

Porsche has also made an active attitude in the e-sports field, and overseas has held an e-race using Microsoft's racing game "Forza".

Regarding deployment in Japan, I will use the Gran Turismo SPORT instead of Forza, and I will implement the one-make e race "Porsche E Racing Japan" within 2019."

We've already negotiated with the Formula-E staffs, so there'll undoubtedly be FE cars in GTS.

Yea, you're right

Well, in that case, I'm not so sure about what this map is. Layout still looks similar ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The problem with that 'track' is that it looks single lane.

And the only 'track' that can get away with it is Gunma Cycle Park and you know what that track is used for.

Not that I'm against that kind of 'motorsport' and its certainly a Japanese invention.

@elston87 There's something I wanna know about, is there any chance that the MX-5 N200 and VW GTI Supersport VGT Gr.B are still within the game files? Just curious since after all you found the hidden Lotuses.

Nice. Real nice.
The Nissan FE has to make an appearance. Think I posted one on here a while back.

I forgot to look for those! As for the answer:

The Volkswagen seems to have been scrapped early on, as I found absolutely no traces of it. As for the Roadster, however, in the game's TEST folder, the only remaining evidence was this thumbnail depicting a top-down shot of the car:

EDIT: I lied... o:

Interesting. Reason why I suddenly asked this is I was watching a video someone exploring the Copperbox/Unveiling/public beta build of GT Sport then when I saw the MX-5 N200, I had to ask you whether if you can find traces of it and here we are. It's also interesting to see that top down picture. Part of me feels like they have more plans for that car.

And sad that there are no traces of the VW GTI Supersport Gr.B.

But thanks for the answer. Keep it up with those finds. :)
