McLaren VGT has good top speed, but imo the best car is Toyota TS050: very stable, fuel efficient (OP in endurance races) and handles a bit better than the Mac too
I bought the mclaren earlier :embarrassed: but i'm almost back to 1 million so i'll buy the TS050 next. :)

Ugh, it's that time of the year again, the holidays, I rather not be reminded to them (especially Christmas), but I do like this image that appeared when I started GT yesterday. Thanks PD, same to you.

Anyway...

Happy Holidays to all!
Gran Turismo™SPORT_20181207161104.png

Now back to wishing it was January again. I hate all those Christmas-themed commercials on TV right now, not that I have anything against people celebrating Christmas, just don't push it in my face, like a LOT of commercials do.
I do like it when people decorate everything with lots of colorful lights (like the picture above), but I just don't like the whole clinginess of Christmas because there are still so many people that feel down during these days because they have no one to celebrate with.
I was one of them for a few years as I didn't have any contact with my family back then, and I can tell you Christmas without anyone feels like a dagger piercing your hart everytime you get reminded of it, but thankfully the quarrel between me and my family cleared up a few years ago and now our relationship with each other is better then ever, so even though I don't really like the holidays, I'm kind of obligated to celebrate it with my family, partly against my will, but I appreciate that I don't have to be all by myself anymore during Christmas.

Nevertheless, I wish everyone happy holidays and that you will all get through well!

The Tesla is not good for drag races even with level 3 power and weight reduction

Real shame because I even went for that Gutted Tesla look, but I only get embarrassment at the drag strip...

The C2 Corvette and Trans-Am actually have top speeds that makes then race-worthy, the Corvette can reach 240km/h on its own and the Trans-Am can do 220 km/h. Which means that I don't even need to fiddle with settings and endure that annoying transmission whine to race with them on GT League and win...

...Unlike the embarrassment that the Mach 1 and Challenger R/T are in this game.

The livery seems different from the one in-game. However, there are some visible settings like the Jaguar E-type pic and the garage reminds me a cutscene in GTSport with added mirrors. Well done Poly, I don't know what is real or not^^

Edit : I think it's in-game  The garage and its lighting and even the reflections (guard rails) come from the cutscene.

I think its real beause that reflection on the rear wheel looks way too realistic for me,and it looks like the car jacks(is that the name) are activated because the front wheels are off the ground,i've never seen that happen in game.

Nope my heart can only take so much :D

PS5 gt is gonna be epic :)

@Auditore This is a presentation about real time graphics. We can recognize the garage, there is the same box for settings like in the Jaguar pic (which is clearly in-game). The added mirrors are there in order to showcase the new reflections.

"it looks like the car jacks(is that the name) are activated because the front wheels are off the ground,i've never seen that happen in game."
On this point, I agree. Maybe it's a bug. If it's some next gen tech, I don't think they will say "look at the new GT engine on PS5".

I would like to believe it's a game photo but it looks to real,my brain is having problems believing that's not real, although if i saw something from GT Sport back when GT5 launched i would also think it's a real photo or fake CGI.

The Tesla meta for drag racing is even more boring than the GT-R meta.

With the Tesla it's whoever can launch without spinning. It's a really boring race as well because it takes so long for it to cross the banner. Not to mention that it essentially bogs down at 90 mph.

The C2 Corvette is just as bad. The transmission requires a clutch and shifter setup which you can't achieve on a controller.

You can try to tune out the gaps but they are still present during the race.

I was honestly really disappointed with all the cars in the pack.

The Ferrari F50 surely must be among the most underrated super cars ever made. Yes, it might be slower around a circuit than the older F40, but that engine and that noise though. I’m in love.

I'm not sure if this is new or not but the GT website lists the Vulcan as a Gr.X car and is accurate "as of 05 December 2018" while in game it's still in N800. Could a class change be coming soon?

Edit: Also just noticed that the BMW i3 is classified as a N200 car.

Though oddly enough the Tesla is still a Gr.X car.

After a long grind i finally got my second p1 gtr :(:D:embarrassed::)

Now to start the grind for a third one :embarrassed::)
Makes Scapes much better ;)👍
Or it's potentially one less Gr.X track car that can race with the Zonda R and P1 GTR which undoubtedly are staying in Gr.X. We shall see.
If they're in the 900-1000hp club, Track car or not, they should be N-Class. Same with the 20mil classics.

I've found another flub with the list as the C2 Vette is listed as being in N200, but that could be chalked up to a typo much like the Gr.A debacle a while ago but going from N class to Gr.X and vice verca seems more deliberate to me. Or they could just be oopsies, who knows?

"We also demonstrate some recent development for the future."

I don't know about ray tracing, but one thing is for sure they work on new tech.

Sure they will have new techniques that will blow us away but the "reflections in real time with no need for hand made reflections" won't happen,Ray Tracing is still in baby phase, games on PC aren't even made with that in mind.

So as pointed out in the Undocumented Changes thread for 1.31, apparently the AI cars for N-class now actually correspond with the particular class you choose (ie. N300 no longer pits you against the Porsche 996, S-FR Racing, M4, etc.).

However I've noticed on Tokyo Expressway South in N300 that the X-Bow always gets away and it's practically impossible to catch up to it unless you're most likely in another X-Bow yourself... I've only tried with a stock Fugu Z on Sports Softs but the gap between the X-Bow in first and the other car in second just keeps increasing the further into the race you go.

Kinda makes me wish they could just make it so that the car choices are randomized as well, possibly corresponding to your car's weight as well or something.

Yeah, something definitely has been updated. I was racing versus the M4 in N300 just yesterday. Now, today at 540am, it shows only N300(I used the RX500).

I didn't get a chance to post this before the thread was locked, but the person who posted that Spa will be coming to GT Sport early next year is pretty big in the GT community and has been around for awhile

I'm not saying this is 100% proof but it seems interesting that someone this popular is saying this.

Someone's popularity doesn't make a rumour any more true. He didn't provide sources, and the rumour comes from 'someone who told me, and that person was told by someone else who is meant to be a good source'.
