Because people can't stop posting in it even though there's been nothing to discuss since October.

They just speculating. That's all. It's sad though that majority of those post are speciation and not discussing anything else like a car list, track list, career mode, release date and etc because PD are taking all day.

I like how PD claim outright that "The graphics, sound and physics engine will be the most realistic ever experienced in a driving simulator thanks to the new platform and the new technologies".

It's a bold claim to say the least...

That's not the topic of the thread though. Speculation has nothing to do with GTS media releases.

Idk if anyone has seen this in the OP since I have updated it a month ago, but:
Just a few things,
1. Keep the speculation to a minimum. Don't want to make false rumors spread.
2. If you find anything new, please make sure the source is legitimate. Again, don't want false rumors spreading
3. You may talk about other things concerning GT, but keep it as on-topic as possible

Thanks!

Just a little reminder for everyone. I don't want this thread to have the potential of being taken down

This is what I saw on amazon whuch could possibly show that GTS is going to be game that is released around it typical time.

It's a placeholder. Amazon don't know the release date, all they know is that the game is releasing in 2016. They need to have some date in their system though, so they choose the last day of 2016 because it's (barring delays) the last possible release date. Think about it; if they chose, say, January 1, 2016 as the promised release date instead, tons of people would be disappointed and complain because as we know, the game isn't coming out until later on in the year. Amazon are playing it safe.

(I'm going to keep quoting this post every time someone posts the Amazon release date from now on)

Lesson for anyone else that thinks they have a exclusive scoop regarding date: If it hasn't even been announced by Sony, Its not real. Just because its on Amazon or some retailer doesn't mean its a real date. Seriously, how many times does this need to be said?

Until PD start talkin', but I don't think that'll be enough either. :sly:

To be fair, the existence of GT Sport itself was leaked by a retailer several months before the game was announced. But yeah, retailers' dates should be assumed to be either conjecture or placeholders until otherwise proven.

Most of the pages were produced in less then a single year, building up towards the release on the 24th of November 2010. Each point in the graph below represents 100 pages, except the first and the last points which represents the first and the last pages.

As for GT Sport, just check the Trailers thread. Even though just one short trailer has been released so far and not much is known, it's already up at 2000+ posts. When more information is shared, I'm sure that thread will kick off as well.

It's also worth noting that back in 2010, there was no like-feature, so a number of posts was probably of the "thumbs up" or "+1" kind.
... there's a small uptick from when I joined GTP...

My only worry about this is whether the server will be stable during FIA races. I want to buy it, but I'm considering purchasing a PC for iRacing in the future

IMO I don't recommend iRacing. It's not worth for how much it costs. Don't take my opinion into too much consideration though since it's not my decision.

Anyways, back on topic with the servers. I do hope they have actual servers, or more stable console to console connection and not just 4 mic channels. Just some of the major issues GT6 online lobbies had.

I'd be surprised if they ran the upper levels of the FIA series on P2P servers. I'd expect them to be run on dedicated servers.

I wonder how many staff the other devs have working on AI? Kunos just had an AI update and they are quite good at this point. I doubt they even have one guy full time on it.

PD needs to replace or add more car build/data engineer, so many things went wrong on the cars , can't even get most of the specs accurate.

Unrelated to GTSport but...

If you hated the horrible A.I, you could just blame this guy...
Now i can see why the A.I is crap in GT5 and GT6...:P
The fact there is only one guy is the problem. In a team as big as PD, there should be more than one person working on something as important as AI.
And that's up to date so he's probably doing the A.I. for GTS alone too. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

Please note that they have interviewed and profiled one staff member per department for the new website. This is not indicative of the number of members of staff in each department.

For the most up to date publication of their staff size and their specific roles, I recommend checking the GT6 credits.

I did at the time, it was one name.

Like that'll stop people from finding who to blame.
