:embarrassed:

I'd say a 'matter of days' is within a week, with a stretch to two weeks. However, this is PDI. Could mean absolutely anything.

Decided to ask GT if we were getting any news this in the coming weeks.

They said "Not this week, but "soon".

they know about the 'soon' joke oh my god

Well to be fair, this week is ending, they aren't quite at Sunday either so next week seems plausible. Whether or not something actually happens remains to be seen.

Well I just messaged them to find out if there will be an event in UK to reveal like GT6 but they won't say. Did get more information about time frame though: "Hi Saidur, I am afraid that is confidential information but we'll you'll hear from us soon, it's only a matter of max a couple of weeks or so now, fingers crossed."

Let's just hope it's not an announcement of an announcement, seems to be all the rage in gaming these days. "We're happy to announce that in a months time we'll announce something".

It will likely be "We're happy to announce there will be a big announcement at E3!"

(spoilers: the E3 announcement will be the release date of the already upcoming beta of GT Sport, and since we know of its existence that's not really much informative. That beta will be a preview of the said already upcoming and very much hyped spinoff game not part of the main series, which in turn is practically a preview of what we are actually waiting for, GT7. This new PR strategy of derailing is used so that people don't notice it will take them a whopping five years to release GT6's sequel, similar from GT4 to GT5).

Considering Sony has yet to confirm it's E3 press conference slot, that is not completely out of the picture. Well we can at least debate how much is a couple...:scared:

I think they (Sony) will wait the release of Uncharted 4.

In 2 or 3 weeks, it should be good, I think.

Pretty sure they're quite capable of promoting two very different games at the same time. Especially when one is a final game release and one is just expecting a free beta.

He or she has covered all bases in reply to people. Days, weeks and months have been mentioned.

Talk about being all things to all men....

I meant very recently, not in the last two quoted replies. I'm sure he/she said something along the lines of not next month (May) but the month after?

I could be remembering wrong though.

Point is that all bases have been covered and whatever the reality they will point to the correct reply.

So now saying "a few weeks or so" (emphasis mine) doesn't really change much.

We've cleared the six month mark without anything past the original trailer. The latest comments from the FB could point to E3, which is all well and good... but really, I imagine most of us simply expected the game to have a presence there. It also barely falls into the "Spring" timeline – which isn't even the spot PD themselves announced ("early 2016").

That timeline they originally announced was also a reference to the open beta, not the next official reveal of any information (unless the beta goes live simultaneously with E3, which would be a big surprise).

E3's the middle of June, less than three weeks before we start the second half of the year. I think it's safe to say the original timeline is no longer applicable, unfortunately.
