GTPlanet, where you have to justify that you like Gran Turismo

If you are so intent on arguing that we are wrong and you are right, as you have repeatedly done, do you not think it would help your cause to justify your arguments?

It hardly helps your cause to turn up and say 'GT is the best, your wrong and I'm right'

Your free to like whatever you want. However, if you want to turn up and dismiss our well reasoned arguments as to why things are not all smelling of roses some justification would help turn you from a 'fan' into a 'critic'.

It's a weird one though isn't it? I remember, back in days of old, when the GTS trailer dropped, I was like 'wooooooooo Gran Turismoooooooo'

And then I remembered that I barely bothered with GT5 & 6, despite buying both day 1, because of so many different reasons that you guys can articulate way better than me.

I guess GT is that ex that you love hard, despite them being mean to you and deserving nothing but scorn.

I wonder how good the weather change will be in GTS, because in GT6 I think it was pretty nice! Great memories.

I hope all the tracks in GT:S or GT7 will have full 24 hour cycles. If Driveclub and Project Cars can do it, why can't GT? It would make the endurance races much more eventful.

Hopefully they get rid of the silly night skies with huge areas of bright stars and other things, it might have looked pretty but totally unrealistic in areas with heavy light pollution.

Its about that when someone's stating that he likes GT and everybody's telling him that its wrong to do so because this and that is sooo wrong in GT and sooo superior in other games. Then he should explain what he likes about GT and on and on.

Not everyone focuses on stuff he doesnt like, some people are actually able to enjoy the things they do like in favour of griping of the things they dont.

Everybody thinks different. But one should be allowed to "just like GT" without being foced to explain why and being told that other stuff is so much better again and again.

There is nothing wrong with saying you like GT, the issue comes when you make a claim that is false to support your position, such as in the past few pages suggesting GT5&6 were solid 60fps or that it was still smooth even with those drops.

However, Samus is right, light pollution kills stars bro. I wonder if new lighting tech would automatically create this effect...?

No one is forcing you to explain anything. You can go on liking GT just as much as you like. However, if you wan't to be involved in a discussion and tell the rest of us that we are wrong to not sing GT's praises at every opportunity then you damn well better be able to justify your position. If you don't want to have to justify your position, you don't have to but don't expect to have any credibility in this discussion. As I've already said simply stating 'GT is great and your wrong' is not a position that holds any credibility.

How many watts do you think the bulbs in that picture are outputting compared to the ones posted by others? Also do you have any experience of taking pictures of the milky way? Do you know the techniques used? Do you understand how it differs from how the human eye ball works?

I don't recall anyone behind told them are wrong for liking GT (and nor would I support such a statement), however I do recall members behind asked why (which is perfectly reasonable) or having inacurate claims of fact corrected (fps rates as an example).

It's not the first time I have said the following, and I'm sure it will not be the last.

This is a discussion board, if you post you do so with the understanding that others are going to comment and question on your post.

Trolling? No this is exactly what I'm talking about, you're trying to claim GT is not at fault whilst providing no evidence to suport it, just that "GT is right, it's always right, it must be right".

Hilarious. You should let all of the astronomers and stargazers know that they can ditch their expensive telescopes, cameras and whatnot. All they need to do is open their eyes and they can see half of the galaxy.

I've also attended enough night races to know that when floodlight are on you don't see the stars and you don't when your behind the wheel of a car unless you turn your headlights off.

And your evidence for that claim is?

Why not take a look at what a board that only permits positive feedback looks like and see how it destroys the credibility of the board. Take the project cars official forum, it does just that and has zero credibility, guess where people now come to openly discuss it.

Enforced bias, either way, will destroy GT Planet. Not critical discussion.

Oh and GT Planet is not dedicated to one thing.

If the forum is being destroyed the mods will take action. If you think it's being destroyed, report the posts that you think are destroying it. And if you think a discussion forum is only a place to discuss the good points of anything then you are sadly mistaken. There are thousands of other threads on this forum discussing all sorts of things. Broaden your horizons

So what are you saying, we should all just ignore any negatives in the games and only talk about the positives, all the time? A discussion forum of yes men gets very dull very quickly. You need opposing points and opinions for most discussions to continue. I mean how big would this thread be if nobody was posting their negative opinions about the long wait and no news? Or if when some news did appear the only responses were "Well, that's jolly good" and "Yes, isn't it"?

It would just be full of "I'm still waiting and happy, you?" "Yes, I'm happy and waiting as well, isn't this fun?"
