An interesting way to make road cars more like racecars would be if they added a windshield banner alongside with race numbers. And if they made banners change depending what championship or track you are driving on. They already done a great job in GT6 with adding adjustable wings, numbers, dashboard instruments... so I think something like this would be plaussible

I haven't seen that on any racecars in real life yet.

What if they keep the number of road cars so low (30/40) that they all have a race mod available?

I was half paying attention to the thread, honestly I don't think racing mods for road cars would make any sense to me, road cars and race cars should be seprate

Maybe they could have different sets of RMs that apply to different regulations. Maybe a track day one that performs light weight reductions, rollcage, suspension, and tyre mods, and then a sort of fully stripped out, high performance race variant with aero parts, and maybe a rally one if mixed surface racing appears in the game. That way, you can sort of create classes within the game by giving road cars of similar performance and competitive ability RMs designed to be raced together.

Most cars either have their main sponsor or just manufactrer name there, but seeing it could be cool to see logo of the track or something on there

So you mean went you go to track A the logo of track A would show instead of sponsor X?

I just hope one class ain't lacking compare to other class's. Like for example, it's only two cars in one class and like 10 in the other. Hopefully it's balanced out.

If there's going to be standards in the game, they better be on par with the current car models, like when the M4 was first added, and not GT4/PSP ports.
Also someone tell us about the new cars and tracks please

I just hope to have Super GT.
Pretty sure there will be Super GT, because GT sponsors it . Besides, all main GTs had (for their times) current GT500/GT300 cars, so super GT's are a pseudo-confirmed thing in GT. I want D1GP cars, that's a category that PD needs to add more cars, and the Pikes Peak ones as well

Right, that's why we have every car, track and event PD/GT sponsor...oh wait, we don't.

Them sponsoring something is no guarantee of it being on the game.
You are right in that, but super gts are a category GT always supported since the beginning, and again, super gts always got featured in a gt game, so it will be no surprise if GTS will feature them. Maybe PD will feature them at London, maybe don't, but super gts can be a high possibility in GTS

You! Are making me slobber.

I've been thinking about the sports cars in the game, and sports car events. And for a game oriented towards eSports, they seem more like a diversion from eSports. Like enthusiast track days compared to SCCA Pro racing. They may be there as the usual Gran Turismo beginner league stuff, but really... in a FIA sanctioned eSports oriented game?

I'm hoping there's more involved than the typical Sunday Cup where you race your Fit and Miata. I'm beginning to think that maybe, just maybe... there could be something akin to Race Modded cars and basic selections of liveries. Maybe just tuners, but something that sets these street cars one click into the motorsports world. Can I dream a bit here? :D

The number of cars might not be reaching 200, minus individual or custom liveries, but there should be enough to flesh out an SCCA-like racing infrastructure. Miatas and Cappucchinos. Focuses, 350Zs and Mazda 3s. Mustangs and Camaros. BMWs, Mercedes Benz and Audis. 300ZXs and S2000s. Supras, Skylines and GTRs. Corvettes, Vipers, Ford GTs, Ferraris, RUFs (Porsches?) and Lamborghinis. And more. And racing versions of all, or most. Tracks, I'm not expecting a few, at least 15, and some with variations like Grand Valley.

They're also spending a lot of money and effort to present... GRAN TURISMO 6.5! So I'm expecting something pretty special.

I wish to not interrupt your wishful thinking but a thing that GT had always done ( and i alwayshated it) was putting a separate car model PER LIVERY. This trick enriched the car count while the simplest of the things was to just put a base model with all the liveries to buy in aftermarket. I do not expect many liveries in fact.
The track list is something i'm looking forward, just curious to know if they'll all have time and weather cycles.

I honestly just want a BMW E36. It's so disappointing to play GT and never get to drive my car.

Could not agree more.

I had one too, til 2013. An M Line coupè E36. What a great car. Shame on GT (and many others, i remember this car only in Forza and NFS Shift 2)

BTW, I hope there will be many stock cars in GTS. We already seen a Mercedes, an Alfa and some others. I hope it will be at least 50/50.
