It's not..why do people keep asking this? It's been known for ages. GT sport is not GT 7.

Kaz was asked the question about why it was called GT Sport and he said something like they could have called it GT7 but chose not to?

Edit: This question comes up in the Videogamer video posted on the previous page (390) @0:45 seconds.

An in-game shot with double the zoom vs a photomode studio image. Right, totally fair comparison. Come back to me with in-game vs in-game.
There have been previous comparisons made with GT6 and it stacks up well, there was one in this thread a day or so ago I believe.

Just watch the reviews... watch the critics on everything that happens with the game... watch the expectations before the presentation from yesterday. I didn't mean ONE PERSON wants all that, just that if you watch closely, you will see people asking for more cars on track AND 60 FPS AND top of the line graphics in both track and cars. Am I lying or something?
To expect less from a new console generations would be odd. What you describe its more like the minimum standard!

I am trying my hardest to find a comparison here. Sift through some GT6 shots, even on ps3 they were outclassing PCARS, this has been known for a while. Again, not in the whole graphics department, but car models, definitely.

Thats better than PCars
I'd like to know what level the AI was for that race. With average driving and running into the back of cars numerous times, he almost managed to clear the field in two laps. The AI behaviour pace seemed better in the corners compared to previous games but nowhere near the capabilities of the car.

Yeah, 6-10 guys with a tv and wheel in a hotel conference room or a shopping mall would look real professional.

You mean Kunos should do it exclusive, classy and full of fanfare like what PD did at expensive place, parties etc ? I don't think that's really needed.

A simple presentation similar to a seminar, with professional commentator, streamed online is all what it takes IMO, Kunos can do it at several cities in Europe and US, small invitation to well known AC regulars around the area. What matters most is the stream of the gameplay of AC players racing each other from different cities, then devs could do live Q&A via live chat with each cities. Invite modders and Youtube personalities ( racing sims ) near the area to do a special coverage and maybe partake in the driving too.

Oh, I meant 6-10 TV+PS4+wheel/rig :)

Looking forward to some hands on reports today. Just read the news article on the main page. Personally I was hoping for this kind of emphasis on the online competition aspect. Think the driver rating system looks good from the tiny amount I've seen. If the flag system works and it hopefully gets a working penalty system to go with it, I think online is really going to be this games strong point.

I have and while GTS is a step up from GT6, my early impression still has PCars as the better sim in terms of physics.

Did you check the tuning page if there's tire pressure there, caster, at least similar to Pcars ?

I would be interested if you could set the car with zero camber and see how it goes compared to with camber.

Oh, almost forgot, ride height  Make it rear up, and see if it does as it should :D

What really matters in FIA racing games, can you dial camber using temp reading across tire ? The basics, toe and camber affect the wear pattern of the tire and how heat is spread.

I don't think you realize the budget difference between Kunos and PD. They could do a lot of things but if you do it half assed and small it comes across as half assed and small. Especially after this event from GT, no casual fan is going to be impressed by a livestream of a handful of guys sitting around monitors playing the game. What casual fan watches a livestream anyway? I'd guess they see it as a waste of time and resources and with many downsides and little upside.

Weird how we have heard absolutely nothing about tuning.

I expect there is no tuning (or very basic) and that it solely focusses on the racingpart (equality for all). Maybe fuel consumption and tirewear but not too sure on that either.
