No, I mean that you're cherry picking what you'll put up against that GTS video so that you can come to the conclusion that you want to.

You mean this?

Have you actually bothered to play pCARS, or are you just tagging onto the general negativity surrounding it? pCARS has many problems, but looking bad isn't one of them. That video that I posted was absolutely a reasonable example of what the game looks like.

You're still trying to narrow the field so that you can conclude that GTS rivals the best or is the best looking game on PS4. It's a good looking game, but it's not particularly any better than any other major racing game this gen.

It is not, for example, like comparing GT5: Prologue to Forza Motorsport 2.

You know you can adjust that, right? You can also make real photos and video look awful by messing with the colour settings.

A little confused. How is matching weather conditions cherry picking? And surely the same could be argued for saying 'when it rains driveclub looks better'?

I have owned PCARS since launch. It's in no way an ugly game at all, but it doesn't always look like that. The same could be very true of GTS, I am aware of this.

Well that was going to be my point, the only thing you could describe as staggering was the 1000+ photo locations. Nothing else.

Unfortunately for me, that's in the sense that I'm staggered they spent so much time on it, when there's clearly a lot of other stuff that needs doing... to, you know, make a game. Scapes could've waited 'til GT7, I think it fits much better with the mainline game.

Most of these arguments would play out so damn differently if they were face to face.

It seeems weather is in but isn't dynamic. We can pick weather condition before start of race. I'm using google translate so if any Japanese fluent members can translate better and include more interesting bits in the article, would be great.

- Whether the weather changes that were in the previous work also supports the work now?

For the weather changes, it is expected to be to choose the weather before the race. Although I was able to as the weather changes during the race so far in the series, to be honest, or take a degree of freedom, it is one of the balance take the quality. Which elements or their own is important, consider the place called, was so does not change the weather.

Well after catching only the first half hour of the livestream and now having watched the rest, I doubt I'll be able to actally read through over 50 pages of everyone's impressions.. (or the many depressions).. I scanned through and clearly, high negativity had to arise and make a game so beautifully presented with staggering amounts of new content, seem like it's all a pile of dung. Typical. This is the first glimpse with a lot more to come people..

What bothers me the most? Well clearly we still have a physics problem as it stands. There's still a magical force that's keeping the car glued to the ground under certain circumstances that would absolutely have a car breaking loose in RL. The drivers.. ya, they were nowhere near as clean and mature as I had hoped, I think a good portion of this community has had far more exciting, pinpoint accurate and highly sportsman like racing online.

The biggest thing is, and I saw a bunch of comments about the tire squeal being too annoying, I personally have been a fan of GT's tire squeal as it's extreamly important to have that slightly overbearing sound relative to RL in a sim, which in my opinion is better than Forza PCars and AC. The problem is, it never ends and during fast changing track chamber or generally quick weight shifts from wrong steering input the cars inherit this F1 downforce ability out of nowhere to keep sticking, moving in this unrealistic rapid left to right / right to left motion, is what's keeping things from being realistic and race with perfect lines and finesse. Right now you can do what you can in GT6 and get away with it. So probably still a tire model issue in short.

Even in GT6 if you pay close attention to how you drive and and how fast you dive into corners, there IS a way to drive a turn perfect and fast without having the tires squeal from start to finish, and driving like that is what would represent how you'd drive in real life. Maybe with new fresh rubber you could pull that off a couple dozen times (or if you've been good on the tires a few corners or extreme breaking when it counts throughout the total tire-life), but again, that's gotta change and would produce much more clean proffessional driving game.

Anywho, a bit of a ramble, I'm am otherwise hyped about the game, lot of wonderful work that's gone into the photomode and the impeccable modelling/lighting throughout... there are clearly stacks of content they're currently working on or have completed we will still see over the next while..

I expected SRF and other assists to not be included in the game, being a simulator and all. Guess I was wrong: it's the default setting, at least from what was shown on the stream.

If GT Sport 1.00 comes with SRF as an option, then it officially won't be a simulator. As you said, it's just magic grip introduced with the express intention of being against the laws of physics.

I think I'd rather have them do it right on all tracks than only at a few. Still, if it's something the competition (e.g. PCARS) managed to do and with more cars on track this is still quite the disappointment. Dynamic weather is epic when done right.

TBH the Ferrari sounds even better than i heard from the stream.
little ot: i love the fact that people still reads my post

You and I may have a stance or two that varies, but I did enjoy the fact that you gave us the good and the bad. I appreciate that level of posting because there is always positives and negatives to be found.

Well, here's something that'll please a good portion of people: I've seen GT Sport with my own eyes and it looks damn good as currently presented.

That actually pleases me a lot.

Then again what's being presented isn't representative of the final product that'll be available in November.

No offense to those who have opinions on the game, but I tend to put more stock in someone like T12 when it comes to GTS because he has actually seen the game.

I would venture to say that 99% of all the internet postings are nothing more than knee-jerk reactions.

I appreciate your last two posts, now... what about weather and time change?

LOL, been hearing this since GT5...this is what they decided to show as their major reveal, this was the BEST they had...think about that. Why would anyone give KAZ and PD the benefit of the doubt is beyond me.

I say that only because it's a feature that's already been introduced in previous installments..

I shook Kaz's hand...

He's so polite, right?

Funny story: When @Jordan, @Terronium-12 and I met up in 2013, Jordan introduced us to Kaz. We got some pictures, and I asked him to sign my GT1 instruction manual. We were at a garage in Manhattan, surrounded by some delicious-looking cars. Kaz took the Sharpie and the booklet, looked around for a surface to sign it on... and casually plunked it on the roof of a Ford GT40, easily worth a few million.
