Kind of bummed there is no Dash cam like the one in Driveclub or Dirt Rally.

Damnnn... What is your source? In Dirt it's so intensive and good view for driving on dash cam. Hopefully we got anyway adjustable interior cam which could make it almost as good as Dirt's dash cam don't you think so too?

It's reality of current gaming. Personally I'm not buying a game in first 1-3 month, because it's almost always unfinished.

That's not true. I know there are some games that release broken, but most are fine and patches are there to streamline the experience or add features. In the recent months games like Uncharted, Halo 5, Tomb Raider, Forza 6 were all great experiences at launch.

Do you really think they are going off pure improv?

No, but I don't think it's unreasonable to say the guy was not communicating very clearly during the stream. So it was hard to tell if what he intended to say was what actually came across.

Speaking of not having the right to do so, you're in not position to make that statement.

I don't understand, what excludes me from making that argument?

I never said that is always like that. Look at Nintendo games - they are perfect at launch. However I think it's a good compromise between release deadline and quality. I love to feel improvement by myself! :sly: (GT5 and Driveclub says HI)

RE: 50% development

If I'm not mistaken, it was the Spanish host who said that, and considering he seemed to struggle with even the basic details of the series, I think we should not think too much of it.

I think it's clear that the game is further into development, it's just that some people try to use that made up figure as an excuse for the poor state of GTS.

Sure they can! But since they don't because it would sacrifice some quality, semi-dynamic wouldn't sacrifice anything because then it would be coded from the start instead of being totally random. :)
I'm fairly certain it wouldn't work like that. That would be working the same as a dynamic scenario, except that it'll just be selectable. The environment will be changing in the same way.

when they seemingly have no right to do so.
This, you are in no position to decide who is allowed to do what.

Everyone booed and hissed when pCars dropped. I wasn't convinced by it but, I did take notice of the cars list, race options, AI, etc.

When I finally bought it and tried it, with the awesome pioneers help here in gtplanet figuring out the controller settings :D , I will not accept anything less than this particular game.

IF GTS is PD starting Gran Turismo from scratch, what I do expect is an immersive racing experience. 50% or 100% complete doesn't matter. Car count doesn't matter. Graphics don't matter. It's like a superhero movie today, if a proper story can't be told, it's garbage. This is what PD have to do with GTS: Make the game entertaining. Under promise and over deliver. Basic business sense.

I'm glad there is a livery editor.
I'm glad there are some new features for online.
I'm glad there are only fully rendered vehicles.
I'm worried about that offline "to do list".
I'm worried about the AI.
I'm worried about this game being a failure and wishing PD should have just rebooted GT2.

Sure, November may come and there will be improvements. Thing is, improvements in what areas that make this game highly entertaining?

Y'all pessimists ...... check yo self.

What has PD done to earn the benefit of the doubt? People are judging what they have chosen to show for a big reveal, and people are not impressed, ask yourself if this is the best PD has for a big reveal, what state is the game it? It all was disappointing.

PD has taken gigantic risks with this game. I believe they will faithfully stick with their "quality first" thing because they know they're playing a game that, they might have huge chances losing if they hesitate in their moves. PD just did a radical philosophy change, let's hope they will make it work this time.

Risks? LOL where? Features every other game has had for years?

This, you are in no position to decide who is allowed to do what.

I think you misunderstood, I wasn't saying people had no right to say it, I was saying I think the information is absurd/unreliable enough to have no business being part of the discussion. I wasn't "deciding" anything, for anyone.

No body came out and said it but watching through the videos of people changing cameras it doesn't seem to be there.

Pity there's no dynamic weather. N24/Le Mans just needs dynamic weather in my opinion, makes the races much more interesting. Also I don't get why the quality would suffer. If it's possible to do on a PS3 (with some performance problems) then why not on the PS4 (no problems because it's way more powerful). I thought with the PS4 every performance related problem GT5/6 had could be solved. But if they're making too much eye candy of the new cars and tracks which result in omitting pretty integral parts to realistic racing then that's a step back.

Learning curve = HIGH! .. You must practice [at length] to perfect your skills now. The whole driving experience does feel a little bit slower [tyre model perhaps], but [IMHO] pedal precision and a much smoother accumulative steering angle that is far beyond GT6 capabilities is what will get you the perfect lap.

Try forcing 16 randoms into the pit lane and see what happens.

He talks about the FIA connection in that video but when you think about it, FIA involvement and contribution seems very toned down over the initial announcement. Obviously the cups are still there and the license thing but I don't see much influence otherwise. None of the official series in full, not in the menus, no visual presence in the cups, instead a ton of Playstation branding. You could almost forget about their involvement watching most of the coverage and gameplay.

I think the FIA will come into it more with the live events which they did not say too much about. One thing Kaz did add at his presentation/Q&A today was that in addition to the 3 drivers at the live event for the manufacturer fan cup, there may a 4th real world driver included to the lineup from the respective manufacturer.

I'm sure that many people are bothered by the sound that Gran Turismo usually has because they have

A. An expensive sound system.

B. An expensive pair of headphones or earbuds.

An expensive set of headphones or a sound system will never fix the awful sound that cars has always had in GT. It will just make it louder, clearer and more obvious of how incorrect it is. It's not going to fix all the cars shifting like they have double clutch transmissions, it will not fix the lack of exhaust, the flatness of the sounds, and most certainly (and more importantly) it won't fix the hundreds of cars that have an engine sound nowhere near the type of engine they actually have (V8's sounding like V6's... you know; the typical PD sound idiocies).

As for the actual sound in the game, the surround effects are very good. Doppler and distance effect in GT6 was about the best I ever heard. No game has come close since. But what got it is if the cars themselves sound horrible?

Correct.
"Mr Yamauchi said that the game is about 50% of their development"
50:30 of this clip.

Ah, so could it even be what he (Kaz) meant was GTS was taking up 50% of their development time and GT7, which we know they are working on concurrently, is taking up the other half of their time?!

PD really should clarify themselves because they are two hugely different statements and we can't be sure the Spanish guy correctly interpreted what he meant.

50% of development. In other words, delayed to Soon

After looking at your posting history, I'm beginning to think that the sole reason you signed up was to slam PD and those who enjoy the series. I'm sorry, what was that you said in the other thread about fair criticism?
