My post flew over both your heads. "let it go" was me saying let him have that (gtsport blowing everything away). We all know replying to biased comments like that is a waste because it leads to nothing but opinionated arguments. You both just proved my point :P
It didn't fly over my head, I got what you where saying. Why I posted that is the fact that you always have to chime in when people have two differing opinions, for no reason. It's just not necessary to complain about opinions, at all. Whether good or bad. So, just let it go, let people have their opinions either way.

So, as of yet. . . we're yet to see a single shred of non Youtube compressed actual 60fps footage?

Its bad enough the "captured on PS4" bits are 720P/30fps (thats what PS4 records at) blown up to 1080P for the trailers, Sony should just release an uncompressed Trailer 2 to the media.

Basically my thoughts as well.

Have you posted your impressions of the physics anywhere yet? I would love to see what your first thoughts on the game are.:)

I did post a tiny bit on physics in awhile back but not to much!

I was mainly hotlapping the Evora at Brands Hatch Indy as that was what was used for the qualifier in the tournament, so wanted to set a good time to see where I was vs the competition (And @Aderrrm :P), but then also tried out varying lines and techniques that I could potentially use in GT6 and also other games... The low end physics (Speed wise) have definitely changed there's no doubt about that, while the more top end of was going back to similar GT6 style of physics. But in my mind that's the '50% complete' quote that Kaz mentioned. At the low end I found it acted more realistic? I certainly couldn't do some of the things I could at druids in GT6 on GT Sport (Weird sliding, Really aggressive turn in while keeping it clean). The higher speeds I could do this but not to the extreme of GT6 e.g. Paddock hill bend.

In the crazy UK vs USA vs JAPAN (UK jumped in last minute) race that it was quite difficult to initially get an understanding of grip as we essentially just jumped on and went for it. One thing to note that has already been mentioned you do get punished for kerbs! As I found out binning it while in the lead at the Nurburgring! Coming off the foxhole section I was to far right so correct the initial oversteer, but by the time I had done that the kerb had come I hit it and it bounced me straight over to the left. Again another positive, and even throughout that entire race the kerbs were causing issues (I was pushing like hell to try catch up, but really hard when everyone is super quick) throughout the lap. I did find the carousel much trickier in GT Sport than I have ever done in any previous GT game. Not sure whether that's a positive or negative as I've never experienced it in real life.

Was going to do a video on it but my wheel is away at Thrustmaster at the moment being repaired so that's delayed, but the main things on the physics side are that the lower end has changed a lot. It may have just been the car I was in? I don't know, but I felt in the cars I did try it felt more realistic, or at least moving in the right direction! This was more so at lower speeds. At higher speeds I could slide a bit more but again, it was reduced from GT6! It's a positive step in the right direction, and I will always say GT Sport is looking very promising. When I spoke to the PD developers who were there, their passion came through when talking about the game and they understand some of the issues everyone mentions so can only assume they are taking these issues forward!

I love the eSports idea though, I'm a huge fan of eSports! I've tried it in multiple games getting close to the top in a couple and have always wanted it in Gran Turismo! Definitely happy about that aspect of it!

In the end the one nice thing we know about the development or what I've gathered from all the conversations / presentations / discussions happening is that I believe it's easier to develop on the PS4 compared to the PS3 so I would assume from that there would be far more developments in the same time scale compared to the previous releases of GT5 and GT6.

Wow.

Never thought recolored barriers could actually add life to the scenery.

Speaking of scenery, I wonder if the number plates for the pitboxes actually change depending on the car numbers currently on track, along with the amount of pit number plates depending on how many cars on track?

Just needs better IQ. Shadows and better AA are heavy on GPU though. Also Forza 6 have exactly the same IQ issues.

Well shadows are not a biggie really but poor AA in distant objects, fences etc can be distracting.

Not sure there will be power left to better those aspects. Might be a NEO thing to iron those out.

The compression in those videos make it looks like the IQ is worse than it actually is. Going by the high bitrate direct feed video from the London build the IQ was already good, just needed a little bit better AA on the cars.

But Polyphony should sacrifice whatever is necessary to achieve a very good IQ. There's no point in deliver good textures, geometry, lighting, shaders and other effects if you are going to ruin all this with aliasing and other jaggies.

You could take a real life picture, but if you add aliasing, it will look like ****.

Excellent IQ should be the number one target for all the games, especially those that try to recreate reality.

Of course you say that to me, but yet criticize someone's opinion on GTS being better than any other race game :ouch: Practice what you preach, guy. You can't have it both ways. If you actually 'got what I was saying' like you proclaim, you would understand that I was poking fun at greatbee's assumption (he's very pro GT even to the extreme). You're so quick to be criticial that you didn't even realize it. Context issue, maybe?

Show me where I've come in and pointed out that someone should stop discussing because opinions are opinions? Discussing an opinion is not in any way the same thing as telling people that we shouldn't be discussing an opinion.

Context? The context is that people where going back and forth, and like usual, you try to come in to stop people.

Also, GTS isn't even out yet, so of course I'll be critical on a comment declaring it the best.

You didn't get what I said, but you claim you did. I said "let it go" followed by a wink. I was talking about letting greatbee (who makes those types of comments on a regular basis) have that one cus it's pointless to argue it with him. You chimed in saying I meant something else entirely. That's why I said context issue. I'm not going to talk about it anymore. If you can't accept my explanation, sorry?

It was a context issue but more so the way your "joke" posts line up exactly like your serious ones. You also threw in winks in the other discussion when you told people that they shouldn't be allowed to post negatives unless they throw in a positive. Your winks are used more often followed after you post some snide witty remark. If this was a joke then it would be up to you to make it resemble such, since it looks no different than when you get into these discussions in the first place.

But please, don't forget to show me the post that you where referring to, the one where I've been apparently trying to hault people, like you do, so I can start practicing what I preach.
