Re: the GIF argument. I agree it's a pain, but more so people who quote the whole post without deleting the gifs. I only have 2GB RAM here so it's always a massive struggle.

Top tip: for those posting NEW gifs, put them in spoiler tags. For those QUOTING gifs, delete them please, we don't need to see them again when they're just a few posts above.

I think AC looks amazing, and I will definitely buy it, so not a slant against the game, but 12 people? I'm sorry, but I don't believe that.

As you know from the last few GT games quality =/= quantity. Most of PD's 200 strong team is car/track modellers and it shows: GT has way more cars and tracks than AC. As for physics, sounds, UI, etc it surprisingly only takes 1-2 people at most.

LFS is famously only made by 2 people - 1 in charge of car/track modelling, and the other in charge of physics/programming/everything else. It looks dated but driving quality can still hang with the best sims in the market now despite being first released in 2003.

I honestly don't see how AC getting Porsche affects GTS in a negative way. GT already has RUF planned in, so I'm thinking there really won't be a way for them to cram Porsche in.

AC also already has RUF. It doesn't affect whether you can get Porsche or not. Just like GT has Nissan but also have Mine's, Nismo, etc.

Besides, the RUFs in GT are all standards and outdated. I'd love to see some modern premium RUFs but Porsche is more likely to get the premium treatment.

Doesn't it still load, even within spoiler tags?
But yeah, deleting them in replies, for sure.

Not louder. It doesn't sound like friction of tire against asphalt at all to me. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I admit I don't know how it explain in english. I'm very sorry.

It's not perfect but it's a heck of a lot more realistic than GT's generic noises so I don't know how you can claim it's much worse.

I'm not sure how it works, but I imagine if your computer doesn't have to display it straightaway then it won't load unless you click to open the spoiler. Someone can try and find out :P

No, spoiler tags only hide them from displaying on the page, they are still loaded by the browser because it doesn't pay attention to CSS rules that say things are not to be seen. You could make the entire page hidden from view, it'd still be loaded. You just wouldn't see it.

Well that answers it then. Guess I just need to get a faster computer

Remember playing this, and spoiled for choice.... Genuinely tho gt5 and gt6 are hugely impressive in comparison.....

Now PD will move it on with better everything. Happy days.

As will sms and kunos. Best to always buy every racing game out and then be content with the collection.

The video you posted GTS obviously look better. Sounds are also good but kinda muffled. TBH if they can just make it louder I think people will be happy

Although, the car sounds in Gran Turismo 3 sound more robust than in Gran Turismo 6. The sounds in Gran Turismo 6 sound like they were recorded with a smartphone. I wouldn't be shocked if they did hold an iPhone to every car to get the sounds.

That is a very specific example you've chosen there. The problem is, not all cars are big heavy trucks with poor handling that makes the tyres scream in pain when they see a corner.

Ok, I've never heard tire sqeal like in FM6 is. I've always heard screech in real life, but I don't know how racing
tires sound.

GT has way more cars and tracks than AC? AC is going to release in a couple of months with 11 or 12 laser scanned tracks + alternate layouts. Add to that a non-laser scanned circuit, 2 historic circuits, a hill climb, a drag strip and drift circuit. It'll probably be around 100 unique cars + step variants at release although we don't have an exact car list yet. The numbers seem very, very close to me.

And then my PS4 will slowly succumb to exceeding memory failure with all these geegs. GTS, AC, other racing games...

Anyone knows if we'll be able to use livery editor in road cars or just race-rm cars?

I honestly feel like it would be road cars. You saw the Audi R8 in the livery editor, right? That was a road car becoming a custom 'race car.' Maybe we'll be able to edit a race cars' current livery. I'm not entirely sure, after all I'm only speculating.

LFS is still on my laptop, regularly played with keyboard, and even with that, I can still feel the grip, the tire flexing, which is amazing for such an old game. I usually play the autocross doing gymkhana with keyboard ( using clutch too :P )

For Porsche, PD may have difficulty, not just about cost, but Porsche may be reluctant to license the cars to PD ( remembers the past GT5P/5 with PD close ties to Nissan - GTR were in the spotlight on release, a car built to beat the Porsche at the Ring )

As for tire squeal, even on low power car with budget road tires ( Rolla Seca ), it squeals all the time when I'm really pushing it :D

Even if it doesn't play immediately on mobile as it does on a desktop, it's essentially treated like an auto-play video (though if you download it from imgur, you get the original gif). Mobile users don't get a choice: the page loads the entire file.

Your attitude in the earlier post is not needed.

If we're going by likes... :P

You're right though: he isn't/wasn't breaking any rules. I never suggested otherwise. It was simply a reminder that media-heavy posts can be a problem for other users, and we should all try to take that into consideration in a thread titled General Discussion, especially when there's another thread constantly near the top of the pile dedicated to media.

It's disappointing that the response to this suggestion is to pack up and leave the forum.

Y'know, if that's nothing but Scape shots, I'd be moe than fine with it. I've got a few coffee table books on cars, much to my girlfriend's chagrin, and I've been toying with the idea of printing out one filled with my own Photomode stuff from all the games I've played. One curated by Polyphony would hardly be a bad thing...

But ugh, "The Gran Turismo Magazine Apex" is more than a little awkward in its wording!
Well, it doesnt load at all on GTP for me, i see only the first frame of the GIF, even how long i stay on the current page
Yes sorry for my first comment
