Sadly, I'm doubting we'll see the Yellowbird in GTS. :(

Very possible. And that brings my biggest fear: if GTS has only modern cars there won't be Honda NSX either. Well, maybe we'll get a' Legendary Machines DLC pack' after the launch including all time favourites. One can only hope.

Obviously we've only seen modern stuff so far but if they're able to mix zany VGT cars and real world racers into the same group I'm sure they could manage it with older cars as well, they could have a few. No reason why the old 80s + 90s LeMans cars can't be made into Gr.1 machines.

It would be silly, but no sillier than what they've already done IMO.

The next event we could see news from is the FIA Sport Conference which starts on Tuesday.

http://www.fia.com/2016-fia-sport-conference

The FIA partnership was initially announced at this same event two years ago.

I wouldn't expect anything new from Pikes Peak or Goodwood given that neither venue are likely to be included in the game.

FIA: I don't see GT Sports in the calendar. But we will see.
Pikes Peak: Kaz will participate but I don't think we will have news.
Goodwood : https://www.gtplanet.net/win-tickets-to-the-2016-goodwood-festival-of-speed-with-gt-sport-gtplanet/

I don't think Sony is attending GamesCom again, so TGS in September most likely, then I guess Paris Games Week in October, maybe.

Maybe no conference for Sony but that doesn't mean there will be no news.

I think Sony will be this time, they need somehow to unveil the NEO! And, after Goodwood, there will not be any known GT-related news (skipping GT academy) until August (Gamescom). We already saw what PD could do for E3, having 2 events behind it with a 2 weeks lapse time each. After goodwood, PD has more than a month to give us a better build. So, don't count Sony out of Gamescom yet :)

How much GTS cars were show until now? With more than 120 cars confirmed, there's still a lot to be show. I think that there's a good chance of old racing cars and even street cars to get into the game.

But only time will tell, i don't hope for nothing now, i'll just wait and after everything is clarified, i'll make a opnion about the car count.

I remember PCars at launch and with a little more than 100 cars, the game did gave a good time(excpet about the fact i had to set the FFB everytime i got a car for the first time, and it was really painfull).

Ok, I've never heard tire sqeal like in FM6 is. I've always heard screech in real life, but I don't know how racing
tires sound.
This is because you are only familiar with the tyre screech of road car tyres when they lock up. You can't tell us what a race cars tyres sound like because you haven't heard them, even the drivers in the race car can't hear them. Go watch a whole bunch of onboard GT3 videos and try to listen to the tyres, once you are done watch electric race car videos and see if you can hear the tyres with less engine sound.

Different tyres do have different sounds and some race tyres do have more of a roaring sound than a screeching sound but most of us are most familiar with street car tyre screeching so that is what most people think tyres should sound like in a game. It would be more accurate if we could hear transmission whine and not tyres but in most sims tyre sound is important to provide missing information due to a lack of seat of the pants feel. Unfortunately tyre sounds have been mostly useless in Gran Turismo but hopefully they are a bit more useful this time. What I will say is I can hear the sounds are improved but still terrible, hopefully they will be greatly improved for launch.

I wholeheartedly think Gran Turismo Sport, is just an in between game, and Polyphony will release Gran Turismo 7. Gran Turismo Sport is a fundamentally solid game from seeing it. However it lacks so many things from previous Gran Turismo's like the original tracks, and everything else. Gran Turismo Sport, logically, must be a game to kill time for Gran Turismo fans until the larger game. It just doesn't make sense for Polyphony to kill their bread and butter model that has made them a success.

Gran Turismo Sport lacks the tracks from the very first game like, Special Stage Route, High Speed Ring, Grand Valley Speed Ring, Autumn Ring, Deep Forest. Gran Turismo Sport also severely lacks the wide selection of cars of various classes. It also lacks the in-depth career mode, and many many other things.

Again, I think Gran Turismo Sport is a game to kill time, in between Gran Turismo 6 and Gran Turismo 7. I also think Gran Turismo Sport is going to help generate revenue and fund development for Gran Turismo 7.

IF they are actually going to have a robust system, using the class, level and sportsmanship parameters, that after initially qualifying for offline, a couple of weeks of online play, it will effectively sort me into Div 31 bronze driver, be fed great clean daily, weekly and monthly races and championships I could drop in and out of or hammer endlessly to work my way up with a bit of offline and full arcade mode, I think I'll have got what I'm seeing.

And I think I'll like it.
But I'll still want my car collecting GT.

And I think this might go into what maybe the realms Kaz wants/has to go.

To ramp up the online feature of GT he's had to make a game out of it.

Maybe.

To ramp up car customisation, large car list and world driving (GT7 by any other name) he might have to make a game out of it.

To ramp up photography, brand identities (Senna also), concepts (cough VGTs) etc. he might have to make a game out of it.

I'm just spitballing but could we now one day see GTSport, GTWorld and GTArt?!?!

Wow dude are you from the future

I am not sure what you mean.

What we see in Gran Turismo Sport, is what we will get in November. Gran Turismo Sport at this point, is nearly feature complete and the code is being stabilized, like any other software. Gran Turismo Sport being a FIA E-Sport game will likely not get any of the original tracks, now or in the future.

Again, I believe Gran Turismo Sport is a 'in between game. I think, due to the high cost of development, is going to help the development of Gran Turismo 7.

I cannot fathom Gran Turismo Sport is Gran Turismo 7. It lacks SO many elements from previous Gran Turismo games. It would be a mistake of epic proportions for Polyphony to just abandon the Gran Turismo Model that has worked for them and their fans for years.

What makes Gran Turismo a unique and an extraordinary game is the 1000+ cars of different types, the wide selection of tracks, and the amazing simulation mode.

If Gran Turismo Sport is in fact Gran Turismo 7. I am going to just continue to play the older Gran Turismo games, and move onto other racing sim games.

I think he meant that we saw only a small part of the game, and that we don't what else it will have or have not.

But aparrently, you do know...

Based on GT6, I think Apricot Hill, Autumn Ring, High Speed Ring, and Midfield Raceway would make the return on GTS.

Those tracks are really "Premium"-ish compared to other classic track (Trial Mountain, Grand Valley, and Deep Forest)

But you're assumming original tracks won't show up when two new ones have been shown already, and we don't know the rest of the tracks.

I think that is a major problem in Polyphony's marketing, and will hurt the game, if tracks are appearing after the announcement of the game. It is because people made their minds up after the presentation of Gran Turismo Sport.

To be fair, the original tracks could show up in Gran Turismo Sport. My expectations of that are extremely low. It is because of all the promises Polyphony has made, and has failed to deliver. Gran Turismo Sport is an E-Sports game sanctioned by FIA.

Gran Turismo Sport looks to be a nice looking game, but I am not going to buy it. I am a long time fan of Gran Turismo and have bought every single game, but I don't find Gran Turismo Sport compelling enough to buy, unfortunately. I will have to pay to access the online functionality, which I have no desire to do.

These boards are full of people adopting a "wait and see" attitude towards buying GTS so apparently it is possible to change your mind post announcement. In case you need further proof, here's 94 people that might change their minds regarding purchasing GTS, all of whom already own a PS4.

In the first FIA finals at London the first race was on the new partially fictional Tokyo track. So I don't think PD will forget the legacy tracks.

By the way you can get a two week PS+ free trial as a first timer. Why not try? Or wait for the reviews after the launch and test it then the legit way if you like it.

@GTchicken 1000+ cars in a single payment $60 game are most likely just history...
It's too expensive and time consuming to do, especially with the super high quality people expect nowadays in a sim racer.

Also, your chat about the tracks is a bit premature, don't you think? No one outside of PD knows what tracks to expect in the full release. The mix of fantasy and real-world so far doesn't exclude anything.
