I love Forza, but what they did with DLC in the first half of FM5's life was unacceptable. But it got a lot better, and I hope PD don't try anything similar.

It's obvious that PD gutted 450 models or so to sell to you guys after release, just you see all those old models popup soon after release, and certainly not for free. Probably the same for tracks. Selling a complete package for $60 is not a good deal for developers these days.
I would say they did scrap them from sick ambition, not greed.

- Its Gran Turismo Sport, Not Gran Turismo 7. To keep making claims that its the end of the series because it doesn't contain any of the elements of the regular numbered games (SHOCKER!) have when the game isn't even out IS beyond absurd. How many times does it have to be made clear that it isn't like the regular titles?

- Last I checked, you also have to pay to use the online features Period on PlayStation and the same for Xbox, Its not exclusive to GT. In fact, you have to pay for internet period regardless of platform, its not free.

Seems your "stand" only comes from your rosy feelings based on what you see and less on the facts that are right in front of you.

Yeah, how dare PD or even Turn 10 and SMS try to cater to those little filthy casuals!!!

I have read ALOT of conflicting information from this forum and news across the web, that Gran Turismo Sport is a main part of the series, and that it maybe in fact Gran Turismo 7.

However, logically, it cannot be.

It is a specialty version of Gran Turismo (FIA edition), and lacks a wide variety of elements from previous games. Most especially like, the career mode, 100s of cars, the original and most world tracks.

Also, in regards to paying for online content. Yes, of course you have to pay to use online services on the Xbox One and PS4. However, Gran Turismo Sport is a mainly online game, whereas Forza heavily tilts toward offline content.

So where Forza you can pay $60 and get a ton of offline racing career. You are paying $60 for Gran Turismo Sport for mainly online content, with the addition of PSN subscription.

Gran Turismo Sport looks to be a great game. It is personally not for me. I am a veteran fan, and I just don't find Gran Turismo Sport a compelling game in series.

That is the policy of turn10
Since when did PD start employing T10 tactics?
Its an unfortunate side-effect when you try to start your modelling over on a new gen when you just came from such a large roster. If DLC is to be implemented on a timely scale, than it is the most likeliest of scenarios, really. However, T10 has all but got that out of the way with their fresh introduction to the current gen. Their packs now are pretty damn nifty. That is likely the route that will be followed here.

Also, you guys need to realize that PD has had some odd paid-optional-content at one time before as well.. They've sold us one-use-paint-chips.

Not that I am saying you're lying, but I do not remember having to pay money for paint in a GT game.

Is there no way to re-download them?
They are one use only, and tied specifically to the single account that ordered them.

I'd probably one to get them if they spanned over all your accounts and allowed an infinite amount of uses. However, that is not the case. My point was just to illustrate that PD is not a Saint in this particular situation.

...which came back in the next game as Seasonal prizes (now can be used indefinitely). However, in event of GT6's server shutting down, everyone will be locked out of those paint chips, except for those who already did the seasonals and got the paint chips. ;)

Oh, so very much how T10 handled this same exact situation we're talking about? They offered DLC as an optional extra, and then we got those cars in the base game in the next iteration. Or are we just going to ignore that part in favor of PD, even though its a very similar situation?

However, you're missing the point. PD does not shy away from these money-grabbing tactics, that people like to point at T10 for doing.

With GT SPORT "real dricing simulator" they need to make sure handling feels proper on a wheel and not make a hash of it.
There are gonna be some good games on PS4 by the years end, I hope GT sport is better then all of those, but only if they cater it towards the passionate racing fans.

It's the needs of the casual game that ruins the fell of the handling
I didn't know Gran Turismo was for the elites only.

If anything PD's GT6 paid content was/is amongst the worst value for money out there - just try buying some credits!!!!
Eh, I dont mind microtransactions as long as they are implemented in a way that isn't detrimental to those that don't want to use them. Have them there for people who don't have time to get into the game for long periods of time, but don't destroy the game economy to try to get people to buy into them to avoid a grindfest.

Which doesn't change that they were paid, one-use paint chips in GT5.

On a similar note, all of the FM5 DLC cars that had already been in FM4 came back to the vanilla game in FM6. It doesn't excuse the really poor FM5 DLC program, though, nor does the similar situation with the paint chips in GT6 excuse the silliness of GT5's.

I was openly critical of FM5's unfortunate DLC program, but FM6's turned that right around, with almost exclusively brand-new-to-the-series content each and every month. If GTS gets a similar program, I'd be all for it.

It remains to be seen what GTS' DLC program will consist of. But just as it has been with the about-face on dynamic time/weather and large car rosters, the response from the community should be interesting.

*cough* GTA *cough*

Anywho, considering that much more is learned about this game, what else is there to be expected? There's more tracks as well as the question of whether or not there will be some sort of damage present...

Visibly, the latest build, there was a big update on physics. It promises to be excellent ! Also according to him, sounds are good and much better than the previous episodes.

And graphics are, as we thought, exceptional. Although there is still some work to do on AA and other minor technical issues.

:)
Holy input lag Batman:odd:

I will quote one of you, the rest of you - read this and understand. Apologize to @jpbonadio and let him continue post his gifs. They're awesome. As you guys said, it slows down the page some times. Nothing do do with internet speed etc, just because it gets too heavy on the page.
But if he posts the gifs in a spoiler, then it gets on demand like some of you mentioned. Then those of you who don't want them don't get them, and those that do want them, like me, get them.
Problem solved. @jpbonadio. Keep doing what you do man. I support you.

Thanks for quoting my post there @syntex123! Maybe what I said is not quite right I'am sorry for that. But I don't blame him for what he did in this thread though. Instead he give us a showcase of GT Sport greatness, make us hyped and this thread going wild!. We're really need a person like him to keep update with some good stuff on the newer build of the game.

As one of a member what I'm gonna say @jpbonadio is I and all of guys here are really sorry and apologize if there's some words that hurt you so much. We didn't mean to be like that. You can keep post what you like (and next time always keep aware to the number of post/images you posted :D) because you're also contributing a lot for this thread ;). And as for @syntex123 once again I really appreciate your response 👍
Thanks.
