It's definitley in.

So i was almost right :)
Maybe the M6 GT3 will be playable at Gamescom + a new trailer

Could this mean incoming new GTS trailer for Gamescom?
And a M6 GT3 reveal at Gamescom?
They working on a GT "movie" coming soon
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1139920239404740.1073741850.585599198170183&type=3

They also worked on the GTS trailer for Paris

PD are their clients and they worked also on the GTS trailer for Paris.
So could be possible.
Believe!

Are you positive about that? After all it was Kaz himself who said they could have called it GT7. Why did he make that statement? Sounds to me that GTSport was its name just cover up their incredibly slow development and a strategy to finally get a game out on the PS4 before they get a full game with a career mode, more tracks, more cars, better AI and sounds finished. Many wont agree, but they'll be the same people making excuses for GTSport in the lead up to GT7 on why GT7 will get it right this time etc etc, just my prediction and opinion of course. But bookmark this post and we'll come back to it in 2 or 3 years.

Unfortunately I think the above is true. A while back we had a comment from a senior Sony employee that GTS was more than a prologue and less than a full game, which fits in with the above.

So, as it's Assumption Day here in Spain, here's a few GTS assumptions:

1: it will be delayed
2: no damage
3: slick visuals, slicker photo mode
4: AC-ish physics (don't kill me for saying that, please!)
5: FIA stuff, penalty system, general driver level stuff is confused and messy.
6: weather and night FX to be awesome
7: disappointing sales figures.
8: good, fairly generous DLC

Some optimistic, some pessimistic, some based on evidence, some based on hope! All merely opinions!

What? delete that before you buried alive
And make a list with more bad things to make happy someone.

In the same spirit, I'll re-iterate one of my big assumptions for the game:

If it isn't delayed, I expect weather, damage, and/or VR to be missing on release. Whichever ones are missing, they will eventually be added in post-release, but it could be another TPE situation, where the wait could stretch to almost two years. Hopefully, it doesn't follow that features path of over-promising and under-delivering (the constant downgrading of the size of track available, GPS tie-in, etc etc).

I'm assuming Photomode will be the best in the genre, because GT6's is still the most in-depth. Scapes are a double-edged sword, though: they look sensational, but I imagine a lot of people that don't understand they're essentially photographs with car(s) plonked down in the middle will be disappointed they're not representative of the graphics in action.

I'll bite.

1. It'll release on time but missing some features like damage and weather to facilitate the release date.
2. See above.
3. Good visuals but I won't be surprised if they have to dial it back a bit on the generic PS4 to facilitate solid framerates and/or an option to dial it back for VR mode. Slick photo mode is a given. Neo will produce a better looking and more solid framerate experience. This game is designed for Neo IMO.
4. A casual gamer might be convinced of this regardless but one look at the HUD for tire temps and watching the drift behaviour of cars in a Tokyo race, tells me this is already a no. Every game looks great at 98% speed. It's at the absolute edges of grip and speed that a physics engine really shines and to me, AC shines brightest in that last 2%. It's not perfect by any means, but the risk/reward of pushing that last 2% in AC makes the most sense to me of any game I've ever played.
5. I think the driver rating system will work as designed but it remains to be seen if the design is effective in promoting good driving habits. Likely, most players will simply fall into the category the naturally would anyway. Not getting real time feedback and having to wait until the end of the race for a report is a major mistake IMO. What is missing from the system that I've seen so far, and may be included but we don't know about it, is a reward system for good driving. Multiplier reward bonuses for clean racing and monetary penalties for poor driving would probably be just as, if not more helpful, to produce clean racing, but combined with a good driver rating system, would be darn near perfect (slight exaggeration for dramatic effect).
6. See #1.
7. We won't know for years just like GT6. Disappointing is relative. I think a reasonable target is 5 million units and I think they'll hit that after 2 years. I'd guess that Kaz sees this as a complete reboot of the series and in that sense he deserves all the credit in the world for taking this bold step. Everyone else is creating traditional games and he's going in a different direction. I'd guess also that he's tempered expectations at Sony. The success or failure of this game is going to rely heavily on the driver rating system because outside of that, it has little to offer that is unique other than good visuals and a great photomode.
8. Unknown. I don't consider releasing GT5/6 premiums slightly brushed up as DLC but that's just me. In terms of new content, Forza has set an extremely high standard for DLC on console and I highly doubt PD will come close to that simply because I don't think they can handle the volume and add cars to the next game at the same time. If AC continues with their same levels of DLC they've had for 18 months that would be a tough standard for PD to meet as well. I would not be surprised if they relied heavily are nearly exclusively on brushed up GT5/6 models as their DLC program with 10-20 new cars thrown in for good measure in the first year, half of which are VGT.
9. The AI will be little improved.
10. Sounds will be little improved.
11. Camber and ride height issues will remain.
12. Tuning will be changed little if at all and won't mimic real world adjustments as completely or accurately as other sims like AC and PCars, especially on race cars. Talking about things like fast and slow rebound dampers, bump stops, caster, brake balancing, brake duct openings etc.
13. GTP GT fans will eat it up, continue trying to shout down anyone that says anything negative about their beloved franchise and it'll be the greatest thing since sliced bread to them, without equal in the sim world.
14. Everyone else will continue debating the good, the bad and the ugly with GTSport.;)

Caveat: Opinions and predictions only.

Ah you were doing well there, until 13 & 14! I was with you until that... :( Why can't you just let it lie?

Not many positive points :P
Depends on your perspective. I don't see anything negative about 1-8. Personally I don't have a problem with games releasing with missing features. I'd rather play without damage and weather than wait 6 months to play the game, especially if they are features I care little about. IMO visual damage and weather are two of the most dramatically overrated features of any serious racing sim. Physics are what they are, I don't expect them to be at AC's level, 7 to 77 and all that, and that's fine. I'd prefer that tuning actually works as intended even if the physics are less accurate but predictable. 9 and 10 are based on what I've seen in videos so far. 11 is based on the fact that they didn't correct either of those issues through the 10+ years of development of GT5/6 and a couple of issues, camber and aero specifically, worked well enough in GT5 and didn't properly in GT6, so they actually went backwards. Not much of a stretch to say the trend will continue:lol:. 12 is based on the intended audience. Trying to tune 8 fast and slow rebound dampers + 4 bump stops + 4 ride heights + 4 springs + 4 packer rates + 4 toes + 4 cambers + 4 casters + 2 aero + 2 brake duct openings + 3 LSD parameters + brake balance and more, isn't for the faint of heart or the casual player:indiff: which I believe is the intended audience.

13 and 14 are like predicting the sun will rise in the east and set in the west:cheers:

Predictions/Assumptions:

1. The game will be delayed.
2. FIA Championships won't be ready to go on release, will arrive 3-6 months into the game's lifecycle
3. DLC will be packs of cars that were already in GT6
4. Vision GT cars will continue to be provided during the life-cycle
5. Servers won't be able to handle the player load at launch
6. ~5GB day one patch
7. Scapes will quickly become boring due to being so manufactured, fun of taking a brilliant photo won't really transfer
8. What we've seen so far is what we'll get. There won't be some single player experience we haven't had a glimpse of so far.
9. Will sell a lot more than expected.
10. I'll still play it for a ridiculous amount of time despite all of the above and love every second of it.

You think this game will be a 3.5/10 game? lol :yuck:

You think this game will be a 3.5/10 game? lol :yuck:
Not at all! I like to think all the assumptions I've made are pretty fair:

-Online only games generally struggle at launch
-The FIA Championships will rely on the server stability being in place
-The premiums from GT6 would make easy money for PD
-Vision GT is still clearly a focus so I expect more of those
-Day one patches are pretty much the norm now
-Whilst impressive, Scapes is perhaps too impressive. The 'game' aspect of taking the perfect photo may be removed
-Nothing to suggest the single player isn't just those missions we've seen.
-GT is historically a good seller, even GT6 hitting 5 mil is numbers many driving series can only dream of
-Gran Turismo always bloody pulls me back in.

PCars camber is still broken, so AC should be a good measure against GTS, if it's not 'broken' with issues when released on PS4. So far I haven't got any solid response about console testing for AC, did 505 Games do the testing ? or Kunos themselves ? Stability ? Glitches and physics bugs or exploits ( I have been told quite a number of them, not sure if they are gone for console release version, and the different tire model between cars - v7 to v10, camber/tire pressure/temp/peak slip angle stuff ? ) ? None of these have been certain to me. GTS also the same, very few details have been shown about the physics or tuning, it could be GT6 all over again  and we need to separate physics and FFB ( for most console players with DS4, FFB means diddly squat  )

Me also!

-True
-I'm sure it won't be that far after release.
-Agreed.
-It's a project they thought of. It maybe annoying to see a tomahawk here and there but it's there to show the future of motorsports.
-True as it happened with GT6.
-Scapes is photo mode Just like in the past GT's there's locations, but it's not in 3D. Race photo mode is to take pictures of races.

Agreed..
The two trailers we saw are only showcasing little to no info about the game.
I wouldn't say it's going to be GT6 in a new shape, but PD won't mess the whole series like they did in GT6. Sadly, GT6 will be left incomplete & the vision GT project will continue on PS4. Not to mention that when PCars first came out it had a hell lot of issues & they were all need to be fixed. Despite that I still think GT won't be as bad as PCars when it's going to have its release.

PCars camber is still broken? Can't tell if it's a mistake or not but your link leads to the biggest trolling site on sim racing run by a known troll who's been caught numerous times simply making things up to attract clicks. Photoshopped visuals of lap times and camber setups and no full tunes posted for testing? One single camber setting vs. zero camber? That's your source for camber not working? Have you played the game extensively and tested yourself? Personally, I put a lot more emphasis on the feedback from a known uber alien, holder of too many world records in PCars to count and a member of Darren Cox's eSports and cars professional sim racing team. Camber is broken but he's consistently posting tunes from world record lap times running camber like here and here and here.

I know not from PRC, that link was put not long ago just for fun ( but kind of confirming it as the tests results were similar ), while the broken camber sig was from long time ago ( did you ever noticed ?), right after the supposedly camber fix. I got confirmation from @Mike_grpA when he did extensive testing for the Mad Mike MX5 drift car. I don't know if he is okay with me taking snapshot of the convo. The camber issue after the fix has been discussed on official forum but got swept under the rug.

EDIT :

Just a note on that after driving a few different cars with the latest patch.

Some cars I've noticed the difficulty getting heat into tyres is still there, the Lotus 25 is a good example. Tyres barely get into their optimum temp, and never exceed it. I literally parked the front end against a guardrail and did a burnout until the engine blew, and the rear tyres were green lol.

Some cars get quickly into optimum temps, but once there the temps don't seem to climb much when pushed hard.

Some cars are capable of overheating their tyres though, these ones feel good.

Another thing I noticed in the Lotus 25, the softer tyre is still far slower than the hard.

Also, camber still doesn't affect cornering speeds, or tyre temp, and the tyre inside/middle/outside temps are still completely unresponsive to any setup changes.

For such an advanced tyre model, it sure seems to have a lot of unrealistic characteristics now.

Saw you post on AC thread, you've gone jimbag now :sly:  I'm immune :P

1/2 - I don't see the game being delayed, but I do see the features such as night racing and other racing coming out in updates.
3/4 - I can agree with both of those but I also see some "new" cars being thrown into the mix.
5/6 - Agreed. Welcome to modern age of gaming.
7 - I am taking a wait and see approach with that. Might be better than we realize, or worse.
8 - Agreed.
9 - Indeed. GT Sport will most likely any game in the genre although I don't see it reaching the plateau set by GT5.
10 - 👍

My predictions :

1) I want this game badly but i'm broke
2) No matter how good the game is, some GTP members will find something to show everyone how this game sucks compared to other games
3) It will not be delayed
4) FIA Championship will be ready for release
5) Most of the DLC are gonna be free
6) It will look and sell well
7) AI and sounds will be improved but still under most games
8) 6GB day one patch
9) The Epic whining and crying thread will be epic

:D

1. I'd like to think a delay won't happen, but you know that if it did, it'd be to push the NEO aspect more. :P
2. This comes down to the general schedule of racing, if anything: IIRC, the FIA awards presentation is in December, so there's no way one season will be done in time. It'd make sense for PD to push it come Spring 2017, though.
3. Heh, if that happens, I expect a whole storm to be kicked up in the community, especially if PD has the stones to charge for it.
4. Given Kaz's comments on the program (it's only about half done), yeah, they may be a constant.
5. Almost a given these days!
6. I hope it's not that big...
7. Agreed. They'll be amazing in the sense that they'll easily fool others into believing they're real pictures — you know, because other than the car models, that's precisely what they are — but there's a reason Photo Travel shots make up a tiny percentage of the shots over in the GT6 Photomode forum: there's just not much room for creativity.
8. This is the one part I keep hoping against. If there's nothing more than a few glorified license tests and an Arcade Mode, I'll be disappointed, in much the same way AC hasn't wowed me yet in terms of game-like features.
9. Hrrrm, perhaps. Part of me thinks it'll sell substantially less than GT6, given the tiny focus, so if it does even similar numbers to that game, it'd be quite a lot more than I expected. On the other hand, PD could be getting ahead of a curve some of us aren't expecting, and capitalizing on the eSports boom. I really don't know, it's such a huge change from what's come before.
10. For me, I hope I'll do the same. I gave up on GT6 very early on as it just didn't grab me like the previous games — even GT5 — so I'm really hoping GT Sport brings the fun back.
