I'll predict something.

1. I will 100% NOT buy GTS.
2. Then, I'll see replays of a Mini Cooper 1.3, get that fizzy feeling and buy a PS4 and the game.
3. I will overlook all shortcomings like: Spartan offline mode, not enough car customization, track count, etc.
4. I will play quietly and not speak of all the money I spent for just this one game when, I could have bought parts for my real Mini.
5. This will be a love hate relationship. For this will be the 3rd consecutive Gran Turismo that has not been a perfect 10(they feel like the prequels to Star Wars).
6. I will join in the forums, posting pics and typing in joyous throng, of the one in 60 races where the AI were a challenge. Then, curse the game in the whining and crying thread for the same thing.

I predict that as I've been doing with Real Racing 3, I'm gonna spend a lot of time in Livery editor

1. I'd like to think a delay won't happen, but you know that if it did, it'd be to push the NEO aspect more. :P
2. This comes down to the general schedule of racing, if anything: IIRC, the FIA awards presentation is in December, so there's no way one season will be done in time. It'd make sense for PD to push it come Spring 2017, though.
3. Heh, if that happens, I expect a whole storm to be kicked up in the community, especially if PD has the stones to charge for it.
4. Given Kaz's comments on the program (it's only about half done), yeah, they may be a constant.
5. Almost a given these days!
6. I hope it's not that big...
7. Agreed. They'll be amazing in the sense that they'll easily fool others into believing they're real pictures — you know, because other than the car models, that's precisely what they are — but there's a reason Photo Travel shots make up a tiny percentage of the shots over in the GT6 Photomode forum: there's just not much room for creativity.
8. This is the one part I keep hoping against. If there's nothing more than a few glorified license tests and an Arcade Mode, I'll be disappointed, in much the same way AC hasn't wowed me yet in terms of game-like features.
9. Hrrrm, perhaps. Part of me thinks it'll sell substantially less than GT6, given the tiny focus, so if it does even similar numbers to that game, it'd be quite a lot more than I expected. On the other hand, PD could be getting ahead of a curve some of us aren't expecting, and capitalizing on the eSports boom. I really don't know, it's such a huge change from what's come before.
10. For me, I hope I'll do the same. I gave up on GT6 very early on as it just didn't grab me like the previous games — even GT5 — so I'm really hoping GT Sport brings the fun back.

As a "casual" player, I don't want to play in a competitive way. Simply enjoying GT after a long day for example. I have absolutely zero interest in the online/eSport focus and I'm sure that most of GT players are like me with a gamepad. What about actual features? It's nice to see so many Gr3 cars but can we expect a event editor? A small part of the team can't spend a few hours to make a camapaign mode with hundreds of races? I know it's a trend to push people to play online (GTA V is the most obvious IMO)

I want to give them a chance with the new online focus but don't forget your main base. Please, if a member of GTPlanet has the opportunity to ask these kind of questions to Kaz, I will be grateful :)

Filthy casual :P

2) No matter how good the game is, some GTP members will find something to show everyone how this game sucks compared to other games

No matter how good ANY game is there will still be flaws and issues with it. They're going to get discussed. Yes, people just flat out saying "OMGZ THe GAME SUCKS" are not helpful or contributory but proper discussion of flaws and issues is going to happen, this is a balanced discussion forum. If you want wall to wall praise and sweeping any issues under the rug this isn't the place.

A modern day big release without a delay would be a shock to the system.

My post was mostly a "fun" message. I understand most of the complains, and i'm agree with a lot of them, i was just making fun about the pessimism in some posts. I feel like some users post only negatives things about the game, and as you said, this is not helpful or contributory.
;)

1. Game will get delayed till December or Early 2017.
2. Free DLC will be VGT cars and cars from GT6, while paid DLC are cars new to the GT games.
3. Livery editor will be better than most will expect.
4. Damage will pretty much be the same as GT6's damage.
5. Sounds will be improved from what we heard at Copper Box and E3, but will still be below the level of most sims.
6. Physics will be a good improvement over GT6, but won't reach the depth of PC sim physics.
7. Frame rate won't reach a locked 60 FPS, but the FPS will stay around the 50-60 FPS range.
8. Sales figures for the game will be about the same as GT6's.
9. Online racing will probably be a bit cleaner with the sportsmanship system.
10. Game won't have 400-500 cars added that Kaz mentioned, but will have about 100-200 cars added post-release.

There are some people making predictions on what'll happen to GT Sport, so I'll make mine:

1. It would be a shame to delay the game due to pre-orders happening since the reveal last May, but if it were, there would need some good reason to delay it because of extra content.

2. On the day one, as shown on one video footage for the game, there will be races to be done through "Sport Mode", but no official FIA championships yet until like a month or so.

3. The car DLC, as Kaz says, is that GT Sport could potentially have up to 400 or 500 or such cars within a year (as PD used to do the slow and inefficient "shokunin" method in which one person is tasked with one car only, leading to six months for a full and high-quality car, but presumably with new management such as more manpower and presumably the removal of the "shokunin" concept, as well as the physical-based rendering, this could put cars out faster).

GT Sport should probably put all cars from Driveclub that are not in the game, and would likely please fans if Koenigsegg vehicles do end up in GT Sport post-release. I sometimes hear that Koenigsegg is the brand that fans want to be introduced to Gran Turismo besides Porsche. They were licensed to Sony because of Driveclub, so I guess putting Koenigsegg vehicles in Gran Turismo won't be a problem. Generally speaking about car DLC overall, the main problem is, will it be quick enough able to arrive within a year? And if so, would we need to pay a lot of money for them? Sometimes DLC releases could really hurt our wallets and would leave us waiting for ages. And for DLC, it would be best if a lot of real-life race cars (e.g. from NASCAR, Super GT, American Le Mans Series, Blancpain Endurance Series, modern 24 Hours of Le Mans GT race cars and prototypes, modern day Formula One and IndyCars, DTM, WRC, rallycross and hillclimb cars) would make it to the game, despite the game doing its best to stay true to the FIA partnership, but remain diverse in a list of cars. New future Vision cars would make it too, as the Hyundai and Bugatti Vision cars were actually the first few Vision cars released after GT6. I believe the DLC will be a mixture of returning cars from previous Gran Turismo games (most likely from GT6) and new cars entirely.

4. For tracks, despite us starting with only 15 environments and 27 layouts, could rise to probably double the environments and probably around 50-150 layouts. I could be proven wrong in the future though, but tracks are also highly expected besides cars. Think of cars as weapons and tracks as battlefields, and us players will be the ones manning these weapons on a battlefield.

5. The livery editor is expected to be richer and more powerful than Forza's livery editor, in many ways possible such as:

a. Numerous shapes, patterns, stickers and sponsor decals compared to Forza's

b. Multiple can be saved into a car and can also be downloaded for free, on any car, for use in Arcade/Free Play or other personal use

c. There will be a similar system to Forza where you can choose and obtain the livery you want to download, and save it to your livery database immediately unlike in Forza where it is saved as you buy or obtain the car.

6. Vehicle damage would probably be similar to GT5 in terms of visual and mechanical damage. It is better than GT6's damage, but is still far from perfect. This can be well applied to every car due to the "super-premium" detail.

7. Sounds will be beefed up, the roar of every single car will sound a whole lot nicer compared to the previous builds, but not as much as Forza's sounds, but hey, the new turbo blow-off valve sounds are actually pretty good.

8. GT6's physics were okay, but there was one major flaw, the fact that the speeds of some cars weren't actually portrayed properly. Given with the new physics of GT Sport, they'd better fix that somehow, as in GT6, some cars went way too fast in which it's beyond what they can handle (e.g. the C7 Vette and the Pagani Huayra). I heard from a few pages back that some reviewer said that the physics of the latest GT Sport build were similar to Assetto Corsa's physics.

9. With the new online sportsmanship and etiquette rating system, GT Sport will provide an incentive to anyone playing online to play like real human drivers, not like zoo animals in Forza, in which when playing online in Forza, the races are so violent and chaotic that it's like a wild and reckless stock car race or a game of bumper cars.

10. The AI would be smarter than in GT6, but still not as lively, but it shouldn't be as aggressive, chaotic and idiotic like Forza's AI which will tend to piss players off. Forza's Drivatar AI will always do whatever they can to ruin the race for you.

11. Going back to DLC, I bet there will be expansions, adding probably new features such as new career events, new game modes and so on and so forth.

12. Given the fact that in-game currency is there, it would make total sense to have absolutely no limits on cars and saved liveries. If there were limits there would be a lot of petitions for that to go away.

13. Arcade/Free Play mode will be similar to GT6, only this time, you could choose out of all the existing cars in the entire game as rental cars. There should be a way to create and tune a set-up for rental cars, though and manage them like in the Xbox 360-era Forza games. As shown on game footage you can choose the available manufacturer factory colors depending on the car, but if we can also choose saved liveries as well, that would be great.

14. Total game size at launch is expected to be around 35-55GB. For those of you out there, if you have a lot of games in your PS4 and have little free space left, it's time to change to a bigger hard drive. The future of GT Sport could possibly be around 100GB, post-release.

Added bonus prediction: No matter which cars you're gonna expect, three highly expected cars, the Toyota S-FR concept, the 2016 Acura NSX and the Bugatti Chiron will likely be there, either it be in launch or as post-release DLC remains unknown. It is also unknown whether we'll see both the Hyundai Veloster Turbo and/or the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus P/45 Competizione as well, despite them being modeled by Polyphony way back.

Teach the randoms all you want and you'll still be racing in the "African savanna" 9 out of 10 times!

The main difference between GT of the past(and hopefully the future) and Forza is that in GT you have user created lobbies, and you're able to select from a list of them. You're also allowed to self-moderate said lobbies, resulting in a cleaner racing experience. Whereas in Forza, you're thrown into a room with a random selection of people and have no choice in the matter, other than deciding what kind of race you'd like to enter. You're also stuck with a horrible Vote-To-Kick system that never works, so the bad people usually always stick around. In Forza 4 when you where able to select your own server, and even host your own for the public to see, it was very much running in a similar situation.

Let's not kid ourselves, there are awful drivers in all console racing games online and there will be plenty of them in GT Sport. There is no teaching some people.

This.

There's also the fact that you simply have people who don't want to learn, the only purpose they have for being there IS to ruin other people's time.

I hope the Nurb video is not the only thing for Gamescom. A new trailer would be welcomed with new stuff.

I certainly hope not given that 95% of it is not actually about the game. It's been three months since the initial reveal and except for a few cars we've seen the same content since, surely now is the time to show off new tracks, new cars, new features. If we don't, questions will have to be asked.

Will it be delayed? :D

Opinion and Predictions for GTS
1. Wont be delayed but some of the major feature will be missing at launch. Eg. Liverry editor.(Like how the course maker was advertised on the previous GT and never had it at launch)
2. Visual Damage will be the same as before as mentioned by Kaz numerous of times. ( Car manufacturer don’t like their car to get smashed) Mechanical Damage will be better, probably due to the seriousness of GTS
3.A Wow visual for PS4 but won’t be as eye-candy like as Drive-Club, probably downgraded elements in graphics department from current build to have a constant 60Fps for PS4 and PSVR Night-time, weather and damage have yet to be implemented so that’s a “Definitely” for me.PS4 Neo will have the same graphics in normal mode but with constant 60fps. In NEO mode all eye-candyness will tuned up and still hit constant 60fps.
4. Physics are improved over GT6, Won’t reach how AC feels like. Why? Because we had seen plenty of competitions footage, running over the curbs doesn’t feels as punishing as most “true-sims” does.

5. Driver rating system will worked well if the Stupid collision detection model in GT6 is fixed and if real time notification are given to players when they hit someone

6. Weather and Night won’t be available at launch. Would be implement in an update .Not sure how Weathers would crippled the frame rates thou.

7. It will sells great. People would buy GT because it’s a GT game. To play it or not that’s a different story. And since it’s the first GT on PS4. I would say Yes.
8.DLC? Detailed and Brushed Gt6 premiums for free. New Cars wil had paid or free DLC.

9. AI will be improved by a tiny margin

10. Sounds are not vacumm cleaner anymore but still lacks tons of details like ambient sound, chassis noise, brake grind and stuff.

11.Tuning will be the same like GTPSP quick tune menu with options simplified. Wont be as detailed and realistic as hardcore sim.

12. Everyone else will continue debating the good, the bad and the ugly with GTSport.

I'd be very surprised if it's significantly delayed. Maybe a week or two, but they'll want to hit that holiday sales season. They'd do a GT6 and release without features before they pushed it past Christmas.

I tried every combination of audio output and still it sounded the same. From IEM ,PC multimedia speaker to Home theatre 5.1 surround output. The difference is just like from a handheld vacumm cleaner to a industrial usage vacumm cleaner.

Alright everybody - after almost 72 hours, I'm finally going to detail my experience with GT Sport at the GT Academy event in the city on Sunday.

Let me start by saying that the event was fantastic (it was displayed on the massive screen above the stand!). I would never have expected the chance to play GT Sport before it's official release, and I can't believe I actually got to play on the controller. Bloody hell man, talk about going above a beyond! I even played it on a massive TV, so there. Unbelievable.

But what you guys really want to know is how the game plays on a controller, rather than a steering wheel and pedals, so what I say may not apply to those who have tried it with a wheel and pedals.

First thing that I will talk about is the graphics - as always, they are fantastic, no problems at all. I couldn't even see any frame drops whilst I set my time on Brands Hatch GP in the Shulze Nissan GTR GT3.

This one is the biggie - the PHYSICS. What I'll say next might cause some controversy and not everyone will agree with the statements. For starters, the car felt FAR more weighted in the corners than it ever did in GT6, making the experience far more lively in the process. Yes, I will say that there is a very obvious improvement over GT6 and I will not call it a small one either. Shocking I know, but that is genuinely what I think. Let me continue - the car's performance at low speed is more realistic. There is less grip present, so it's easier to spin out when you are not careful on the throttle, and getting the car going again is much harder than the past games. Heck, I did it several times at Druids and I was truly amazed at how the car reacted. Felt like no other GT game. The sensation of speed - well, it's basically non-existent but it did not take away from the challenge that was presented to me. The tyres have less grip, trail braking is much harder to pull off without crashing, and everything about the car just felt RIGHT. It was the greatest feeling ever and I'm calling it - the physics IMO are BETTER than Project Cars. Especially on a controller. Honestly, this game is set to be the BEST EVER. The magic is back everybody...

As for sounds, I can't really say but through the speakers around the stand, it sounded solid and better than ever before. Really, really promising stuff.

And now I'm getting a free copy of GT Sport... Yup. Just for making the effort and making the arrangement to make the spectacular day happen. I'm so thrilled because my experience was totally unexpected and awesome. I thank all the guys who made the event possible. I didn't think GT needed this kind of exposure, but hell yeah it does... it's all part of Kaz' vision to make racing games accessible for everyone, no matter who they are. That was demonstrated at the event, and I'm even more excited for this game now.

Let me add - all driving aids were turned off, excluding ABS.

Let me correct you. There are awful drivers in any racing game, period. This is not something exclusive to console games.
