That might be the issue: you're insistent on people seeing things the same way as you. As @PzR Slim has said on this page, other people have limits to what they deem acceptable. For some, this 2017 delay will be the straw that broke the camel's backs. They're not right or wrong for choosing that; it's just up to them. And they're allowed to be that way.

This isn't a situation unique to GT and/or GTPlanet. Look at any community focused on not only games, but any other form of entertainment, and you will see a similar outbreak of bitterness and upset when news like this breaks. And, just as @Samus said, there will be those that are more understanding.

Despite what you may want to believe, that was the case here with previous PS generations too. I've been here for 13 years (to the day, actually); it's not new.

Why is it that whenever PD announces a delay, it's "**** YOU PD YOU'RE A BUNCH OF SCRUBS KYS" but when another dev does the same, it's, "darn it, but thanks for letting us know"?

Okay look. Perhaps you don't understand the mindset of the "whiners/complainers/etc," but we are most definitely not mentally upset when we "focus" on the negatives. We are only being realistic and conveying what we see. We are not emotionally invested in the well-being of the game, and our criticism only allows the things that need to be fixed to be brought into light. Sure we might feel disappointment but it's nothing we can't handle especially when it only pertains to a video game.

You on the other hand are probably thinking that everyone becomes as distressed as you get when you start thinking about the negatives and need to block that off somehow even if it makes hiding away reality. We're not.

Also, delays happen, even if the reasoning turns out to be crappy. So get over it. It's a freaking video game for Christ's sake. If a Forza game got delayed, I'd be pissed, but I'd just get on with life as normal.

Be lucky Jim Sterling hasn't made a Jimquisition about the hardcore minority of the GT fanbase.

You're also — yet again — assuming people are focusing on this news. Nevermind that that relies on some unknown level that you yourself decide — what's the difference between them just commenting on it, and focusing too much on it — but yet again, it's a situation of complaining about something you yourself have done. Unless you're going to tell me you've never expressed displeasure or disappointment in any game you've played.

People are fully within their rights to be upset by this news. You can continue being personally affected by that — it's your choice, after all — or you can just accept that other people have different views than your own.

Personally, I plan to sell my PS4 to buy a PS4 Neo.

What I'm saying is that GT Sport will use power of PS4 Neo more than expected. As Horizon Zero Dawn, which was also delay to 2017.

But I still don't expect a huge difference. PS4 Neo isn't a PS5.

Regarding release date, I'm disappointed by delay. But I remain optimistic. I'm optimist person anyway, I'm happy in life.

Only one thing would get me angry about this delay eventually. (as i expected delay to at least spring '17)

And That thing is adding a VR mode. Mode which will use only lets say 5% of all people who will buy the game.
I really hope its not the ''not yet revealed mode''.

300 more after a hypothetical 6 month delay is probably expecting too much, but it wouldn't surprise me if the car count gets a significant boost after this delay. That's certainly one thing they can do to lift spirits and make people think the delay was worth it. And I don't really trust PD on why the car count is so low to begin with. I doubt they are remodeling all the cars from scratch. I just think its taking them some time to update all the cars to work with the livery editor, damage, along with some polishing. While other cars (Japanese Kei cars for one) simply aren't needed in a GT Sport type game.

Ah, my mistake; I thought you were seriously thinking that Polyphony was somehow going to be able to model 300+ cars within a year from scratch. That's something I could actually agree with, the most likely scenario for GT Sport to get a significant car increase would be giving models from GT6 an update for GT Sport.

Insinuating I become distressed when I think of negatives? No. I do not. However I do choose to move past them and focus on stuff I like, which is healthier for me in the long run.

All of my efforts to get people to see any flaws in the way people behave and treat others in this community have done nothing. FWIW, I think I see what you're getting at. If you go to a restaurant and have a bad meal and complain is one thing, to basically go back to the same restaurant every night, and repeatedly, and loudly, make the same complaints over and over again in the presence of diners that were perfectly happy with it, would be a total waste of time (and an ass-hat thing to do) - you could just find another restaurant and enjoy the food there.

If you go to a restaurant and have a bad meal and complain is one thing, to basically go back to the same restaurant every night, and repeatedly, and loudly, make the same complaints over and over again in the presence of diners that were perfectly happy with it, would be a total waste of time (and an ass-hat thing to do) - you could just find another restaurant and enjoy the food there.

What if it was your favourite restaurant, you had many amazing meals their, it has inspired your love of good cuisine but in recent years mismanagement had seen it decline to such a level that it had become a bit of a joke, would you be wrong to keep pointing out it's flaws if you just longed for it to return to its previous glory?
