Possibly to point out the view you originally had that FH3 is nothing but fantasy/fast cars in comparison to GT Sport.

Which was ironic on the fact alone that GT Sport has its fair share of fantasy VGT cars to begin with.
Yup. Some of which being in the same class as LMP1 cars as well. Pure fantasy.

...You do know that 959 was conceived as a Group B rally car, right?
Not quite, it was a homologated Group B car, which covered both circuit and rally events.

As such it was designed to compete in both environments, not just on the dirt.

Sorry to be rude/harsh. But it seems Kazunori needs to be replaced. He is not seeing Forza (Motorsport) and other simulators as a direct competitor. If he keeps himself like this, GT future will be doomed. Sony wont have any good racing franchises again. His vision is unclear other than asking us to drive for another 100 years in motorsport world. GT future is now unclear with him. He is too old for this kind of stuff (video games).

We players are stuck in situation where they playing god (oh we hate GT because of delays but you will still buy it so no worries for sony/pd/kaz).

Sigh

Will be interesting to see how many copies FH3 sells in relation to the 'racing genre going down the pan' theory...

Getting back on topic (FH3 and GTS), you are ultimately comparing the experience with either game rather than inherent features, and this can apply to whatever racing games you compare

I think the main thing that Forza Horizon does really well is be heaps of fun to play. There's just so many "that was :censored:ing cool!" or "I wanna do this awesome thing" moments that it's very refreshing.

I'd love GTS to have some of that passion for cars and driving in it. I find that there are few moments in the PS3 games where I think to myself "that was :censored:ing cool!" Maybe they hope for online to provide that engagement.

True. A game with so many good reviews. I can tell you if it was a ps4 game, it would be a huge seller. Now, XboxOne I don't know.

Could be quite a system seller in the holiday season though, especially if they do a bundle...

My "that was freaking cool!" moments from GT were:

the RM cars in GT1,

the BTCC and Super wagons and Saleen Mustang and Pikes Peak and Rufs and DTM Alfa and BMWs in GT2,

the Super GT500 cars and RGT and Mine's Skyline in GT3,

Spoon S2000 and FPV Falcons and McLaren F1 long tail and Citta de Aria and Trial Celica in GT4 and Stealth cars

Not much in GT5 & GT6(I did think the team up with KW and the wheel size customisation would lead to something, but that was all smoke and mirrors).

I have not seen anything in what is to be GTS, make me think this is freaking awesome.

Odd we're still doing the whole 'ultimate-secrecy-except-actually-showcasing-the-games-at-events' thing.

Perhaps the game has been delayed till late next year and this GT Sport isn't representative of the final product even more-so than a usual preview build.

No more arrows for the blind spot indicators. Now there are two discs in the center HUD, one by side. (Awful roof cam as always...)

I acctualy like the roof cam ins GTS.

In GT6 a moment "it's freaking awsome moment for me was the Ayrton Senna's challenge. As a brazillian and Senna fan, see such a great tribute and racing with the cars he used was amazing.

And ask to delete the photos taken from the game is so ridiculous! Why show the game to the open public anyway?!

I will never understand this seemingly PD-only policy of:

Please look at our game!
(don't take pictures of our game)

Like people have posted...

...to have this ready by November, by their own team, too much for them to handle. I even wonder if it could be done by the end of next year...

Yeah it was obvious that it would happen. I'm not really suprised by the delay. But it seems to be no minor issues, since they didn't even give any particular reason nor another release date. Either there are some serious Problems or they have to redesign the game in someway.

Not to get into a deep vs but just to illustrate your point this is Forza's idea of goofy fun:

This is GTs:

I know, I know, one is arcade but it still shows their differences in ideas.

Lol, that reliant video is funny, but since when has GT been goofy fun?

Does AC do similar? PCars? Who gives a toss?

With GT5/6 people tried to create their own goofy fun. Cops and robbers was a very popular online lobby and illustrates that point. Some people were playing a version of car soccer at the Top Gear Track in GT5. Dirty Nascar was also a popular event. I'd add cruise lobbies into that mix as well. How many people really like drifting? We have official drift events in the game but no purpose built drift tracks like we've seen on tv or YT. So the answer is yes, GT is also about goofy fun. I have no doubt, given an open world area or two, many, many, many GT players would also engage in the type of fun you see above but, as a minimum, would also like to see official Cops and Robbers, Cruise and other "fun" lobbies online.
