After the FH3 demo and now all the good reviews, it's not a bad thing that GT is delayed. There is so many things wrong with GTSPORT at the moment like collisions, career mode, "dull" graphics like empty/lifeless tracks...
And now FOUR Forza on Xbox One! All from good to amazing. Poly, I don't care about HDR, PBR or 4k, bring back the fun, the jawdropping graphics and the rock music please.

Again, the original proposition was beautiful graphics and advanced physics are not possible. No one said anything about rain, weather, massive car counts etc.
Goal posts will be moved if you swipe the original argument. There's no doubt in my mind that the PS4 Pro will be able to run PCARS at 1080p/60FPS locked with some of the settings raised as well for 99% of the time. Note: this does not mean you might not get a dip in the most extreme circumstances: e.g. at the start of a full LeMans grid (56 cars all packed very close on the grid, and on-screen too) with thunderstorm makes my i7/GTX970 weep, so I don't expect that to be different on consoles.

You mean that teenage style rock Kaz seems to fancy? I'd prefer the Jazzy atmosphere of the first 4 GT's :P
I like the jazzy elevator music as I'm browsing through the dealerships and checking out cars and reading descriptions. One of the things I do like about GT5/6. 👍

We went from this

To this (starts at 1min12)

GT1-4 were complete. GTS is not.
Each GT has jazz inspired music. Music style has changed to a bit.
Remember GT5 gave us a choice of music genre. I thought that was cool. I didn't get that same feel in GT6. THAT was a stale game musically.

Guess I'll wait and see what the GTS reviews are. Before then, I'll at least have FH3, Forza 7, Pcars 2 and a patched up Assetto Corsa to enjoy.

I hope Poly reads all the amazing reviews of FH3 and understands we need some fun! IMO FH3 is a system seller for racing games fans. By the way, no news from TGS on the official website. No interview of Kaz at TGS?

I'm saying you were upset because there was a miscommunication. You clearly still are.

So you're saying that them advertising GT6 as having 20-odd VGTs in the first year was a miscommunication? That it would have monthly track DLC was a miscommunication?

I think not. They communicated exactly what they intended to.

And you can keep your impressions of my personal opinion out of this. You don't know what I think, and it's unnecessary in order to discuss this.

Im expecting 85-90 with GTS on metacritic (If it doesnt reach 85 then goodbye GT).

I'd look at the critical pasting that FM5 got, and that was a launch title. GTS isn't really offering that much more, and it's going to be almost four years later. I'll be surprised if it gets over 80.

Because it is the best racing game of all time. Mega super realistic, hyper reality graphics, but foremost:

It's the newest racing game available so people compare it with everything to determine if it's better.

The point of that? None, but it's what we do!

Right, let's stop talking about what Forza Horizon 3 may have done right and what PD could look at to learn a few things and go back to reviewing the same few tracks and cars in jittery off-screen footage again!

Can you elaborate on what GTS could learn from a drastically different game? Seems a bit random. Might as well compare Mario Kart.

Wouldn't 'normal' Forza be a better comparison, as PD clearly have no interest in making a Horizon competitor. (In my opinion, thank god!).

The only thing I can think of is real-world body kits, and the drone camera.

Posting a link? Nothing.

Telling members they have to post any FH3 discussion (even when it relates to GTS and PD) in that thread when you are not a member of staff? Everything.
Zlork didnt tell anyone that one has to post FH3 stuff in the FH3 forum.

The key aspects of any racing game is to make the racing feel good, Horizon 3's main strengths seem to be it's up-to-date car list that still includes a lot of classics and also how exciting the racing is. Obviously in terms of where they sit in the racing game spectrum they are completely different but there are still some factors which could be applied to GT Sport:

-A varied but up-to-date car list
-exciting racing with decent AI
-Polish and consistent level of quality - this is a huge one.
-Good multiplayer components
...the list could go on.

Just because it inhabits a different side of the racing genre doesn't mean there aren't key learnings that could be adopted.

All fair. Also, I edited my post too late for this, but real world body kits and the drone camera seemed like good ideas. That's all I can see so far.

GT absolutely needs a modern camera handling (especially in chase cam), dramatically improved damage and impacts and a great single player career in addition to the esport online portion if it want to aspire a high rating on metacritic

Yep as far I've seen now, awful randomly placed roofcams are back, aswell as stiff narrow FOV Toy car chase cams... :indiff::indiff::indiff:
