I'm still concerned about the source of those direct captures. Are the replays from a PS4 Base or PS4 Pro?

I just have a gut feeling that 60fps replays are only on the PS4 Pro.

Can someone clear that up for me please?

The videos were provided by Polyphony; I don't know what hardware was used to produce them.

I love these tracks/locations photos in Scapes mode. You think the cars in these photos are really moving, not only standing there!

As a single player gamer, maybe I should buy GTS only for Scapes! :D

is that the Stelvio Pass?

There's such a humongous swing in the cars apparently in it so far that it can't really correlate to any real racing class. We need to know how the cars are setup first.
When I go through my old Top Gear Australia magazines, there is a feature of the then new GT racing classes. In GT4, there were:
AM N24 V8
lotus Eleven
350Z
Mustang FR500
Audi TT(fwd)
M3
C6(base V8)
Cayman
Ginetta
Chevron

The surprise in that field is the fwd TT. I had forgotten that was in the debut of GT4. So, having the Scirocco and Megane running with a Mustang GT, Vantage and C7, seem spot on. That SLS may be copping a 150hp handicap like the LM Z06 in GT6 Seasonals.

We don't need it. But since they already make it, why we can't have it? That's my point.
Instead of making more tracks or cars, they use man power to make these beautiful but not indispensable cutscenes. I love them, I loved the GT-R engine cutscene in GT5. However, they're very late...

The stations at PSX had base PS4. Also no 4K makes me think its from base.

So basically they managed to achieve 60fps replay on standard PS4? Because some of us here still remember at the press release of the 4K/HDR a month ago they said that 60fps replay will only available for the Pro.

No way to be certain without confirmation from PD.

It's okay, I'm asking because kind of curious how standard PS4 is capable to create the whole recent 60fps replay footage from PSX we've already seen so far, as you said at PSX they use base PS4 instead the Pro because it's not 4K.

Or maybe the replay was done in Pro before the event starts?. And they brought them all for public showcase at PSX and then uploaded it for us here and anywhere else.

And yeah, we can't say if it confirmed when there's still none or lacking for an official statement from PD themselves.

GTS looks very nice in the new trailers and screens that have been released but there is something very worrying and that is the lack of presentation on the game itself. No career, no menu's, no options, no features simply nothing new other than enhanced graphical stuff and what happend to the sounds? It is awful in the gameplay vids that are on the main page.

They seem to be completely lost on the direction of the game and that is why I started to question on how long Sony will accept this will go on?

Which game show menu, options on their trailer ? some did but it is mainly role playing games
There re already a first trailer for what you want, no need to show them at each presentation

Looking from what they did with an astounding graphics, my thoughts for the sound (just personal opinion, you can disagree if you didn't like or thought if that's not possible to being put in the game) is they might working on something big. Maybe what can I think of for some time (after hearing those "sterile" engine sounds in every GTS gameplay ever since it's revealed) is sound equalizer. You can adjust the bass, treble, pitch, noises from various engine sounds, tire squeals, exhaust crackle/pops etc for all cars (or maybe selected cars like they did with VR mode). So what you get is full experience to settle and configure the sound as you want. Maybe it's not something new or innovative, as we all know you can adjust directly from your stereo sets/home theatre, but it might be interesting to fully adjust the audio directly from the game itself.

Again, this just my thoughts. I could be wrong. And I'm sorry for this long post :ouch:
I just share some thoughts, and guess that okay to give some aspirations here.

Cheers!

Not sure what they're yet to do with the sound, but it's clearly improving. Check this video, for instance:

lol what? Trailers for GT games are mostly focused on the car racing. I also highly doubt final UI is done.

It sounds a bit deeper which is better, but if my ears don't deceive me that's still a typical GT sample from before, with the unrealistic off throttle/ shifting noises and the digitized tone overall.

I think that's a tiny bit harsh.

The thing that stood out for me was the bumps in the road affecting the throttle. I may be wrong but it's a GT first that, no? At any rate, it's well implemented here.

Actually I already notice the differences with the sound. It is better, but still way behind with the current gen of how racing games sounds like. Don't get me wrong. I like what they did regarding sound improvement came from the recent build we have for a moment. The reason why I give such an idea of sound equalizer is that it could be better for player to adjust their sound preferences. This is based on what they did with the graphics (4K, HDR, the crazy amount of realistic details etc), they simply pushing the limits of it, so why not the other stuff?

Yes, it sounds ambitious, but if PD want GT Sport to be a technological showcase of what the game is capable of, how powerful it is and give a vision for the future of racing games, then they have to push hard. Anyway so far, the game looks okay, just need some explosive stuff to make old fans of GT back to their root and support the game once again

That wasn't my point. PD simply keeps showing off the same stuff over and over again without actual showing the general game's progress. There is simply nothing "new". I want to see what this game will offer gameplaywise, how it advances, how career and online will be structured etc etc. We have a PS4 on the market for more than 3 years and all we see is a bunch of cars, tracks and sexy graphics.

is it just me or does it look like it is the track that moves with the camber\bumps etc and not car? Many of you will remember that is how it worked on Le Sarthe in GT5 then PD patched it after many complaints.

This is the case for every track in chase cam since GT5 I'd say.

I'm really not a fan of the way they use such a static POV, I remember there was briefly a dynamic alternative in GT5 that was then patched out after the screen-tearing went through the roof.

Poly assumes : it looks beautiful, people will buy it. It's true, their lighting is special. However, it's not enough for me. Especially after GT6, with hundreds of cars and tracks and nothing to do offline...

Stop being ignorant. The new trailer was shown to highlight some of new graphical features. Previous trailers have shown different modes. Considering this is a vague 2017 release, they have a production and marketing cycle to follow. Its not like the game is coming out next month and we know nothing about it.

I like how there's variation in the reflection of the lights across the road surface 👍
It looks very beautiful but the car in the second image doesn't seem to be driving around a bend. It looks like that it's traveling in a straight line which looks a bit weird given that the car is situated in a bend.

Minor things :D
