What about the R15 TDI? Ignored by PD...

Ohhhh, so damn true! :guilty: I love that R15

Take a look at this :

For some that didn't notice, looks like Mazda taken some design cue from the LM55 for their 2017 RT24-P prototype that's going to race in next year IMSA Weathertech Sportcars Championship. I mean look at the front, they look similiar, just a small adjustment with the air scoops and headlight position. Then comes the side profile :

Did it make it to GT Sport? There's a chance, due to game launch next year. But for now, only time will tell...

No, Mazda didnt design the new LMP2 with the Vision GT in mind. The design of the lmp2, like the design of the mx5 and other mazdas (included the Vision GT), comes I think from the shinari (2010) (not sure if that is the prototype, but i believe it is)

Many brands do the same thing. Launch a prototype and base the future designs on it.

They don't look in anyway like the other at all?

There is no official statement from them about it at all and I aware of that. I'm just try to pointing out what people in this community doing right now, guessing and predict how Gr. 2 will be if it being implemented in the game such as discussions about car class and fitting category, which in my perspective is kind of vague and obscure because it is just a random opinion and not a valid statement and thus keep my expectation low for a moment. I have just wait for PD announced another official words regarding updated progress for GTS prior to launch.

Anyway, it is okay have some random opinions and thoughts (that's why we are here, right? :)) I'm not going to offend everyone here. I'm sorry if I make some confusion to other members here in this forum. :ouch:
I think that Group 2 will be Super GT, not LMP2 because they don't fit into Group 3. Their performance is on another level and GT have had Super GT/JGTC for years...

Thanks for give some response on my post.
You're right though. I almost forgot that every car manufacturer have their own "design language" to distinguish them from the other brands and give an identity to it's own brand.

Yes. But they showed that new design for the first time in the shinari. Thats way I say the shinari is the model where all mazdas are based on.

It's called KODO. The design languange represents fluid shapes and natural, flowing lines through the cars body, making an impression "looks fast even stand still" An English translation would be "Soul of Motion"
This is basically the base or philosophy of Mazda's designing their cars, that's why they look similiar in terms of looks, body lines, shapes, etc.

Ah, see, that's where you're wrong. They clearly both have the Mazda logo on the nose.

Well, can't deny that

If Fuji times are to be believed 2016 LMP2 and 2016 GT500 could happily coexist in Gr.2.

Well, all they need is Porsche (Mostly older ones that suit my tastes, some of the newer ones work), P1, More Super GT cars and a few more "real" concept cars.

They are the GTE/GTLM
There is a C7 GT3 Car but it made by Callaway
Ford had the Mustang in the past but IIRC they dont have a GT3 car now
I still don't know what's the different between GT3 and GTE. But I'll find it on google. And so, will GTS have GT3 cars racing alongside GTE cars in the same race? :ill:

GTE's if I remember correctly have more downforce and slightly more power than GT3's.
And as far as te car list goes I haven't seen a GTE in Gr.3

GTEs have a technical rulebook and have more downforce and more efficient aero. They used to have less power but as of this year they've got about as much as most GT3s.

GT3s aren't built to a rulebook, you build a car you think will win, send it to Ladeaux in France in September where one driver drives all cars and they are balanced against each other. Once the homologation papers are filled out and approved you then go racing.

Wildly different pathways to a quite similar (lap time) result. GTEs generally cost a bit more than GT3s due to their higher developed nature, as of the 488 however the GT3 and GTE cars are based on the same platform and only the engine and a few other parts need to be swapped to race it as a GT3 or GTE.

I could go on but that's a condensed version...

Currently there are no GTEs in GTS, in pCARS they balanced the GTEs to race with the GT3s.

Will GT SPORT have bonnet cam like in PCARS. I know a lot of people drive with bonnet/ roof cam view
I'm 99.9% sure that yes, bonnet cam will be in GT Sport. It would be an extremely strange and quite frankly, silly decision to leave out bonnet cam.

They did for maybe 80% of cars in GT6, they had roof cameras instead. We've already seen some cars in GTS with roof cams again, no bonnet cam.

And no, they're not the same.

One makes you feel like you're getting the view from the cockpit with nothing in your peripheral vision, the other makes you think you're getting a view as if you were laid down on the roof of the car.

My mistake, I should've taken more time to think about his post a bit more. I was thinking more of that camera position being scrapped, which I thought was unlikely to happen.

Essentially it was my fault, I kind of generalised the bonnet cam and the roof cam, as they're the same camera, just positioned differently. Again, my mistake. Apologies.

Had they released it this year, sale figures would be through the roof about now.

Once the patches were added Nov.17, 18 and every Tuesday til now, PS4 Pros and new tvs, would have been flying of the shelves.

I'd have definitely forked out for GTS and a PS4, even for the limited version of the game that's in the pods (Digital download)

Fun fact: Had GTSport been released this year, it would've cost me less than half of what it will cost me next year due to living in a country with terrible economy.

Hopefully they release it before I can't afford it
I bet you are still better than people in Venezuela :D (not funny for both lands actually, superinflation is evil)

p.s: I bet that in Venezuelan people doesnt think about games now.
