Their bike designs are cool enough. While the name is Aero GT and usually the Vision projects include the V in the naming, the TF1/Automobile.fr reporter seems pretty sure with the amount of references.

Seems strange to announce it now when it very much appears the VGT project is waiting for GTS to start adding cars again. If they add this car to GT6 people are rightly going to ask why they've not added the cars they've already show and even had playable at shows like the Bugatti.

Mind you personally I don't really find the prospect of driving a rather cookie cutter looking fantasy supercar created by a watch company particularly exciting.

As weird as it is that a watchmaker is producing a VGT concept, let's not forget about the Nike 2022... Plus, Bell & Ross is a sponsor of the Renault F1 team and the International Festival of Automobile, so they aren't strangers to the car industry.

Also, this VGT will be shown tomorrow at the Basel watch as a 1:1 concept model, according to that article.

Why is everyone cofused by a watchmaker designig a car, they obviusly liked the idea of VGT and decided to give it a go. Also if this is "weird" then swatch and mercedes collaborating to make smart(Swatch Mercedes ART) must be ludacris to you people.

:D

This is... unexpected, to say the least. If it's true – in light of some recent DLC's from other games – it certainly highlights the contrast in approach to car lists that PD has versus others. "Fictional car from expensive watch brand" is definitely a unique approach.

I just read that Renault Sport have newly partnered with Bell & Ross for the 2016 F1 season. Perhaps both design teams have cooked something up...

Also, this VGT will be shown tomorrow at the Basel watch show, and apparently they even made a 1:1 concept car.

Just checking through the floor plans for the show for GT/PD/Sony but couldn't see anything. The Ross & Bell booth doesn't look particularly big at all, almost certainly not enough space there to plant a real life sized car. This is definitely a strange collab. Maybe Mr. Yamauchi is there to explain himself tomorrow..

It may seem small on the map, but these booths are actually quite spacious on the show floor.

Also, TF1 is a reputable French news network, so I wouldn't doubt that info.

Possible, it's hard to get a feel for the scale. I'm noticing Porsche Design at the enterance there. I hope Porsche will be noticing them and think things over. :D

It does make me wonder if EA's ownership of the Porsche license extends over to the Porsche Design brand. Maybe PD could get them to make a Porsche Design VGT, which might not technically violate the terms of the EA license :D

I swear this thread is like mythbusters sometimes lol. That is quite the theory and I'm sure that the licensing carries over to anything Porsche related. But it would still be interesting to know

Porsche Design is a different company, I'm pretty sure the license does not apply to their products.

Thanks for the tip. That would be a nice way around the licenses.

Just to be clear, I wasn't being entirely serious there, as the :D smiley would indicate. I don't want to end up with a million alerts as people quote my post to tell me what a ridiculous idea it is

I wasn't entirely serious with my response either :) I was also alluding to all the other bizarre suggestions people have here. Yours is actually possible lol

Fun fact, Bell & Ross is already within GT6, since they produce the center console clock on the Peugeot RCZ.

Trust me, these stands are big.

Lol interesting. Anyone know which company is responsible for the center clocks in the Infinity/Nissan luxury cars? (edit: they look to be just "generic" Calsonic Kansei designed parts)(no bling bling precision over the top watch/clockwork)

With Sony holding a press conference today on the PS VR at 2pm PST, and that obscure video from Bell & Ross with more info scheduled tomorrow, I wonder if Sony plans to give a date for GT Sport and maybe show some real footage today. :gtpflag:
