Just stumbled on this video on YT... wtf is this guy talking about?:lol: like seriously, does anyone who can actually see thinks GTS Beta looks like a PS3 game? I'm shocked

LOL dude Crapgamer always defend the microsoft side so you should just ignore the channel if you want a fair review! XD comments like Driveclub looks worse than Forza 5 cracked me up

I listened for a minute or two. Once someone starts talking about the comment sections of other videos you can rest assured they have no clue what they are talking about.

Just had 3 good, fast, clean races at the Nordschleife in the N300s. Every single one of us gained SR.

Is that you @Amaru? Good racing with you.

Hi Daan! Yeah, that's me :))

I was streaming those races I will have a look on my YT page to see if I can find these 3 races.

Very nice to race with you too, if only everyone would drive as clean as you GTS would be heaven on console hehe.

Probably checking IP's related to PSN's
if you're trying to cheat teh system and have multiple PSN's, then you're kicked...
I'm new to GT Planet, have a PS3 with GT6 (which I love). Can anyone tell me if you can transfer all your stuff, game saves, details, etc, over to a PS4 when this elusive GT Sport is finally released. Or do we all have to start over again with no saved cars, no ranking, and work through the driving tests, etc.

WELCOME TO GTPLANET!

Maybe, we shall see.

No transfers. Sorry, but that just isn't going to happen. Last time save transfers were a thing was in Gran Turismo 4. You could transfer A and B licenses and up to 100,000 credits. Quite nice actually.
. Thanks, thought that might be the case

New video from Digital Foundry.

PS4 Pro on fhd tv- no visual/resolution upgrades over normal PS4. But smoother gameplay with much less drops.

Just was going to post that. I like how GT Sport on PS4 Base model still has a rather smooth gameplay even thoughts it's not perfect.

I didn't know that PS4 Pro in cinematic replay camera have unlocked FPS. I always thought it had 30 FPS lock just like the Base model.

Have to say, I had some great races last night but I really wish that the feeling of the car in the races was something you could practice. IDK if it's just me, but in the races the cars seem to have just alot less grip. I wish this was something I could practice, as I just make silly mistakes in races and it costs me positions. It would also be nice if they didn't keep changing the cars and tracks, I'd like to be able to have like 10/11 races at Brands in the GR3 GTR, but I manage like two in a week or so and then its gone..

I also wish that they have all cars unlocked from the get-go. Not having the best 4x4 for all the catagories means that racing in them is just kind of a nightmare, you get off the line horribly and then have to deal with the slower less predicitable drivers.

As far as I'm aware, the answer to @Propane Pete's question is "Nobody knows yet.", but you're saying it's definitely not happening. Could you provide a source for your answer as it might be interesting for the news page.

Well, you're right. It just seems unlikely but it is possible. Sorry about that. Multiple PS3 games allow for transfers to PS4... Far Cry 4, Minecraft, etc.

Would be neat to transfer credits, but I'm not sure what else you'd be able to transfer...

So there is no Pro support. The added performance and higher resolution is the pretty standard affair. Hopefully the final release they do a better job.

And here I was thinking the PS4 would be the end of this. Darrrrrn.

I don't think they ever said what the Pro's version will change. They definitely never said cinematic replays would have unlocked fps (framerate). I wonder if it's that way for any type of replay like the demos and post-race replays along with the saved, cinematic replays.

TOTALLY agree with this. Just spent an hour doing qualifying laps, and then in the race, same gear same speed same corner, wham- into the rail. Is it controller latency in the online session? Do players on wheels notice this more than players on DS4's?

Could be the draft, as it is pretty strong. I know when racing, and behind another car, I can not brake as late as I can when solo. You may not notice, but you're going faster, which changes the braking zone.

does anybody elsee think the the cockpit view is too low on the Ferrari 458 gt3? the instrument cluster obstruct's a lot of the view

The fact that it's a beta notwithstanding, I find it disappointing that they still can't hit a solid 60fps on base hardware. I didn't know that it varied so much with the field of cars.

While as it is now it's merely unpleasant rather than game breaking, we still haven't seen their night or weather conditions. I have to wonder if this is why; they've set themselves such a high bar in the daytime that they can't do night/weather without significant compromises or frame rate issues.

I do hope that they'll continue to work on it. I just have a nasty suspicion that their mindset is "a few drops to 40 now and then aren't too bad" rather than "anything beyond a dropped frame or two is unacceptable". As he says in the video, I'd love them to be Forza 6 levels of solid frame rate. I think that's where they need to be, especially as an e-sports game. High and consistent frame rates are very important to an e-sport.

To your point, I wonder if it is aero thing? I notice the same thing like there is no down force.

Just to clarify- I'm not arguing the aero effect. But, if you've raced with me, you'll know that I'm usually vigorously defending P16-18, with everyone else 10 sec ahead, so I'm driving off the track with out any assistance.

@Firehuntah & @Sjaak were behind me in the last race as they hadn't qualified, and I managed to keep them behind me. Now they've both qualified ahead of me the cheating 🤬

:P

It was a bug:boggled:......or Kaz was testing a reverse grid.:D

Other thing for PD to do: when qualifying with a fast car but you choose for a slower car to do the race.
You end up with the fast car endtime on the grid.

Yeah it was nice racing with you and Sjaak, it's quite hard to go from a super fast GT-R gr3 (the race before that) to a N300 on the same track. Made a lot of mistakes in that race. :P Didn't have enough time to qualify but was fun nonetheless. Qualifying after that race went pretty well again though. :D

I don't think it's much of an issue. In the race you'd want to have the fastest car as well so it's usually the same car you qualify with. Doesn't make much sense to qualify with a slower car and then race with the faster one, unless you like overtaking a lot of cars. :P As for the other way around as you say it, you'd just end up losing a lot of places if you race with a slower car and eventually still end up in the position you'd qualify at with that car. But I do agree it would be nice if the time is only valid for the car you used. So you have to qualify again with a different car.

I did enjoy keeping you behind me, but I'm not sure how hard you tried to get past.

I bet you did. :P And yeah I was really trying to pass you but it was quite a challenge. I just posted the video of it in the video thread so you can see. :)
